Marina Heights bills itself as a "Luxury Suite Hotel" with "spacious, prestigious, and modern suites". That is, unfortunately, not entirely accurate. It is actually a serviced apartments building. There's no reception, restaurant or common areas usually found at a hotel - only a front desk with a security guard. The building feels dated, with some shared areas in poor state of repair (e.g. handle falling off stairway door). Maybe some apartments are finished to a high standard, but the one me and my family got was neither spacious, prestigious or modern: * The bathrooms are cramped and the balcony is small. * The kitchen is very basic (microwave and electric hob). * All appliances felt dated: Old TV, rusty fridge, dishwasher that didn't work and an old washing machine that boiled all our laundry. * Poor, mismatching lighting, very basic (and old) decoration. * Old furniture; a hole in the wall, probably a botched AC installation. I felt the property was way overpriced (~270 GBP/night before VAT, for a 1 bedroom apartment, 4 guests) for what I got. I could see the property being suitable for a couple who spend most of the day out of the apartment, or a family with one kid who don't intend on hosting there. But I definitely didn't get the home-away-from-home feeling in the apartment I was allocated (the marketing material shows a nicer apartment, though). I should point out the staff was extremely polite and helpful, answered all of our questions quickly, room service was good and they even provided us with extra mattresses when they realized we'd like our kids to sleep with us rather than on the beds prepared for them. Pros: * Excellent location: 2 minutes walk to the beach, Arena mall and a few other restaurants are within short walking distance. * Nice private pool: Was open at the announced hours, and seem to be in good state. * Friendly, helpful staff. * Dedicated parking. Cons: * Dated building, not maintained to a high standard. * Not only is the apartment not a luxury apartment, it's dated and poorly maintained. * Overpriced for what you're getting: Over-promised, under-delivered stay. I've seen what luxury is at the Ritz-Carlton in Tokyo, or the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London. This apartment is not it.

Big room and everything works but it has been poorly mainained. Paint is peeling all over the room. There is a stove with 2 burners but they are so close it's impossible to cook on both. Great water pressure and temperature.

1st class. Rooms comfortable and spacious. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Tzippi goes out of her way to make sure everything is in order. Will definitely come again and will recommend to family and friends.

Very nice rooms, near the beach. The pool is small. When you enter to the parking lot with your car go to the open parking. go outside your car, and ask the guard inside to open the gate. No lobby. great kitchen in the rooms.

You cant possibly call this a hotel. Its a group of "serviced" mini-apartments with zero (and I really mean zero) common hotel area. It has all the disadvantages of an apartment building ( i.e. no one to help luggage or provide any service) and the disdavantages of being an hotel overseen by security guard, where neither he nor the manager lift a hand to even carry a bag or push a pram to the lift. Don't order an extra pillow else they will send security to inspect the number of people in the room.... babysitters count for guests. The bathroom is miniscule and basic at best. The guest toilet is so small you can barely get in if you wish to close the toilet. The cleaning staff are friendly and helpful.

I feel compelled to write a review of this property which I have stayed in recently. Be aware, this is not a hotel, let alone a luxurious one. It's a rundown multi-function property with some rentable units. I strongly considered giving it a single start, but it gets a second one for the excellent location, and the fact that if you need two bedrooms, and a decent kitchenette, and are willing to overlook the filth and deterioration, this might work out perfectly for you.

A kosher family of seven adults for shabbat, we took two first-floor suites, sleeping five and two. No effort was spared to make us welcome. The two-person suite A/C was ineffective.
