Wow! World class food right in New Berlin. We were so pleased to come here after a recommendation from friends. It was the perfect place for us; elegant yet comfortable, perfect service, amazing food. Actually really smart food- flavors that are exciting and expertly crafted. Oh what fun! We will be regulars!

This little gem hides a true French/Swiss master chef. The food here is prepared perfectly. I've had a chance to speak with the chef about how he sources his incredible ingredients. He takes extreme care to make sure he selects the best seafood, produce, and meats to make sure he delivers a perfect plate every time. This is a restaurant you must go to on a regular basis as the menu always changes based on what is fresh. This may be the first time you have really experienced the true joy of a dining experience.

Easily the best dining experience in the area. Everything we had was superbly done, the vibe was very homey and inviting, and the service was attentive without being intrusive.

I truly love this place, one of the best fine dining experiences. Rack of lamb is amazing. Service is perfect. I always return when in town.

I really enjoyed my experience here. The service & food were impeccable. Andy was kind enough to respond to my request for a Veteran's Day dinner reservation for my family & I via email, even though the restaurant was not yet open. I really appreciated that thoughtful measure. Thank you!

After learning the existence of this place, we decided to try it. The tentativeness of the first visit was blown away by fantastic service to start with when we did the reservation and felt welcome. It is a cozy place but was warm and well lit when we went on an extremely chilly evening. Food is elegantly prepared and there is a special vegetarian menu that you can refer and call in early to request the chef to keep it prepared. Patrons here are all frequent visitors. The options for food is pretty large. PS- we went back in two weeks again for the new year dinner. Worth it.

I don't understand the reviews. I expected an awesome meal with 4.7 reviews. Very disappointed. Sitting was by a drafty door & window in winter. Sitting was poor. Wine, salad and steak dinner. Left wine half full, tasted like it had been open for a while. Old wine. Salad is salad but the house dressing was not good. Steak was good but I had a lot better else where. I ended up taking the steak home for the dog. This was for a special occasion but I think this restaurant would be better for a casual night for dinner.

If I could give 10 stars out of 5 I would. Atmosphere: comfortable and home-y. Service: Impeccably attentive, friendly, and all-around wonderful addition to the dining experience. And, the food? Two words: LIFE AFFIRMING.

The gem of New Berlin. Menu changes almost daily. Some of the best prepared food I have ever had. Dishes are augmented by a fresh herb garden on premises.

From the moment we walked in until the moment we walked out it was a wonderful experience. They made us feel like our opinion mattered and explained what we needed to know. They let us know we were important by checking in to ask our opinion of the food, the wine, the dessert. The food was excellent and to be honest I will try anything they serve because I trust the chef's culinary expertise and practical knowledge. We look forward to more meals at this gem of a restaurant.

Wonderful food and even better service. Antonino is a fantastic server. I asked for flowers at the table for my girlfriend’s birthday and he personally put a bouquet together. I had the ribeye and it was great.

Music when we first arrived was not suitable for this type of restaurant, but after that it was 100% perfect! Everything was incredible, from drinks to food to service. We’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I decided to celebrate my birthday at a restaurant we had never been at before. We were met immediately by a friendly waitress. She explained the menu fully, and we both decided on soup, a ribeye steak, and mashed potatoes . The steak was ordered medium, and it was done perfectly. We both had one drink, and my husband said his drink was the best he's had in a very long time. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of my meal because the steak was quite a good size for a ribeye and the presentation of the meal was beautiful. We are very happy with our choice this year, and we will be back. Also we will see you at the Wisconsin State Fair next summer . One last thought..... the atmosphere was very pleasant and quiet. We could speak to each other and hear each other, something that you don't experience in other restaurants, but that we both appreciate .

The food and service were incredible! Not only did I get the best meal possibly of my life, but also exceptional service and surprises that made it one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve ever had! Thank you so much to the Chefs and Waitstaff for making this awesome experience possible!

Can't believe it took me this long to go here. I'm so glad we found them on the only day they do lunch service. Charming little place with limited number of seating with fantastic food. The lunch menu changes every time, we had the steak sandwich and veal and both are fantastic. Looking forward to coming back for dinner service.

Another absolutely fabulous dinner at Lagniappe! 2nd time here and love the daily changing menu! Appetizers, meals and desserts are tasty as they are beautiful! The only restaurant we never have to salt or pepper anything - just perf! We adore Sally and have been so lucky to have her serve us both times! She’s so nice, funny, knowledgeable and honest! This is our new favorite restaurant and such a hidden gem!

Fabulous French (sometimes fusion) food, great wine and spirits, lovely servers ... This is my favorite local spot and I can't believe more people don't know about it! It's got one of those small intimate dining rooms that feels like someone's home. I love this place for date night and for dinner with the girls. <3

Amazing service! The waitress is incredibly kind and friendly. Food was delicious and wine selection superior! We brought two little ones and felt very welcomed with them there, which isn't too common with nicer restaurants. Will be coming back consistently!

One of my favorite places in the Milwaukee area. The ingredients are so fresh, everything is high quality and dishes are interesting. It is not overpriced considering the quality of the food. Lots of local ingredients including some from their own garden. The menu changes daily based upon what local ingredients they can source. Recommend making reservations, as it's a small place.

The bread with butter, oil and hummus at the beginning of the meal were tasty, the wine was delicious, as was the quiche, potatoes, and scallops. The soup was decent. The steak was a bit overcooked and the perch was difficult to eat because it had a lot of pin bones in it. The flavor was good though! I would love to see a bit more attention to detail in the preparation of the dishes. Pictured is the Lagniappe or "little extra". It was some very tasty quiche served elegantly with an edible nasturtium flower.

Always enjoy the visit. Food is always good. Sometimes great. The small footprint keeps things personal and romantic. Highly recommended for a fancy feast or date night.

Absolutely amazing experience. No detail was left untouched and food was a culinary masterpiece of flavors and food design. Would HIGHLY recommend Lagniappe if you are looking for a special night out or a meal that is truly exceptional. From the Lagniappe (a small complimentary treat given to a customer) to the wine choices - all exceeded my high expectations. The Brasserie Table salad is not to be missed - I opted for the homemade buttermilk ranch dressing. This was my 1st time there and will be going back soon.

First time going after years of driving past. So happy we went! Every dish was delightful. The staff were all helpful, kind and patient with our group and gave wonderful suggestions. Will definitely go back!

I had the duck special and my wife had the steak. Both fantastic. Seriously. Fantastic. Kind of a $plurge but worth it. Filling portions, and memorably flavorful. Staff was great. Overall just one of the nicest dining experiences in recent memory. By the way, it’s pronounced “LAN yap.”

Wow, so tasty. Food was amazing, chefs were accommodating to gluten free options, Sally our waitress was also great. We are looking forward to eating here again.

I'm not sure whether to review this place as fine dining (not) or casual dining. My wife and I had dinner on a Saturday night. I'd expect them to be on their game. I prefer a wait staff that is polite, helpful and largely transparent. Our experience was a folksy waiter who thought we wanted to be entertained with jokes and one-liners. Helpful? I asked if he had any recommendations from the menu, and he had to excuse himself to ask someone who might know. The frumpily dressed gentleman with shirt hanging out in back didn't dump any food or beverages on us. If that's the standard of excellence, thumbs up. The food was not offensive. I had to ask for a sharper knife to cut my meat, not a good sign. It was overcooked as well, but by this point of the dinner my expectations had been sufficiently lowered.
