Décor
screams
out;
"we
are
not
a
chain
restaurant!"
It's
clean
but
decorating
was
definitely
done
on
a
tight
budget.
Fortunately
one
does
not
go
to
a
restaurant
to
eat
the
rummage
sale
artwork
on
the
wall.
The
hours
are
also
a
bit
odd;
open
for
lunch
and
breakfast
and
Friday
night
fish-fries.
We
were
there
for
the
fish
fry.
Service
was
excellent
There
were
only
two
people
in
front
but
they
were
both
moving
around
cheerfully
and
checking
on
us
frequently.
The
menu
has
a
good
assortment
of
fish
fry
meals
with
options
for
fried
or
baked,
cod
or
shrimp.
We
ordered
the
12
piece
family
meal.
The
Cod
had
a
nice
batter.
I
personally
prefer
nice
chunky
cod
loins,
These
were
fillets,
but
reasonably
sized.
There
were
a
few
smaller
ones,
but
they
made
up
for
it
by
having
well
over
a
dozen
pieces
on
the
plate.
Plenty
of
leftovers
and
and
they
passed
the
next
day
cold
fish
test
(
if
it
doesn't
taste
greasy
eaten
cold
it
was
fried
at
the
right
temp.)
The
taste
was
on
a
par
with
the
better
restaurants.
They
won't
make
you
say;
"That's
the
best
fish
I
ever
had!",
but
there
is
no
cause
for
criticism
either.
Fries
were
nice
fat
crinkle
cuts
served
nice
and
hot.
The
meal
came
with
3
potato
pancakes.
There
is
so
much
variation
in
potato
pancake
styles
they
are
hard
to
compare.
The
taste
was
OK
but
there
wasn't
any
crispiness.
Individual
3
piece
meals
were
about
$15
each,
The
family
meal
we
ordered
was
at
least
4
times
as
much
food
as
the
individual
meals
and
was
$45,
so
a
decent
savings
if
there
are
4
of
you
or
you
like
leftovers.
My
only
real
criticism
is
the
plastic
cutlery.
The
fork
would
bend
inserting
it
into
a
french
fry
or
trying
to
use
the
side
of
it
to
cut
off
a
piece
of
fish.
They
really
need
to
make
the
jump
to
metal
utensils.
