I’m telling you all…. this lady knows her stuff and this place will not be a hidden gem for long. I’m from Florida east coast, so I’m pretty picky about my seafood. I stopped in for lunch on a whim and I was blown away by the menu offerings and execution. The lunch was so good that I asked to meet the owner, and she was so sweet and kind. She gets all of her seafood fresh from the locals at Murrell’s inlet and it shows in her dishes! My stuffed shrimp, my swordfish and crab cakes were ridiculously great (and the menu is surprisingly cheap for this quality of food). You must try the crab bisque as well. I came back the next day for another lunch and had the shrimp scampi….absolutely spot-on: perfectly balanced….not too rich and flavored to perfection…..plus the shrimp were fresh and cooked perfectly (I’ll include a picture). I will 100% be back to support what she’s doing, and not to mention….the food is wonderful!! Enjoy.

THIS LADY CAN COOK!!!!! Had snapper previously and was delicious. Had to try crab cakes with shrimp and sides as everyone was raving about them. WAS DELICIOUS!!! I’m so happy I wasn’t disappointed. Crab cakes amazing as was the sauce it came with although you didn’t even need it as cakes were so good. Stuffing with shrimp amazing. I’m finicky about Cole slaw but that was also delicious as was the quinoa and corn bread. So nice to have great in Surfside ❤️

Comparatively new Surfside Beach restaurant. Designed as mostly carryout but had several tables for dine in. Ambiance was nice with local craft artwork on the wall. Wife and I both had crabcakes and stuffed shrimp. Coleslaw, pasta salad, roasted potatoes as sides. All food was great. Got a slice of key lime pie for dessert. Also very good. Owner came out a couple of times to see if everything met expectations. Young lady upfront was also very pleasant and informative. Highly recommend to give this local place a try. Will not be disappointed.

Crabcakes are thick, but lots of filling. Corn bread was outstanding. Overall the food was good and at a good price. We'll be back for more!

Cool concept! Everything packaged for takeaway or sit down and enjoy. The food is delicious! Pan seared red snapper is out of this world and amazing crab cakes. Prices are great and the service is super friendly. A welcome addition to the area. Oh, and the collard greens…..wow!

Love this place!! The food and experience is off the charts. Shelly and Joe treat us like family when we dine-in. We've been to Shelly's several times now and every meal is amazing. Shelly's is also BYOB. Highly, highly recommend. Dave & Lynn

The crab cakes were excellent, and the muffaletta sandwich will feed 2 or more! The addition of a wonderful olive tapenade truly made the sandwich outstanding.

We ate there last night and it was great. Owner was most accommodating when hubbies choice was not available. While there we overheard a disgruntled customer, from listening to what was being said I came to understand that she wanted a free meal. After stating that food was not good, she ask for Togo containers and took with her. Go figure. Don’t pay attention to bad reviews. Go and enjoy.
