This place has the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. It was very inexpensive and I know you get what you pay for but it was absolutely ridiculous. I booked this hotel under my phone number for my parents who just needed to stay one night. I did it with my phone number so they could contact me because my parents speak English but they have a heavy accent so I would be the one talking for them. They got there at 8PM and they were told that they contacted me at 9AM on the day of to confirm the reservation and that whoever they spoke to told them to cancel it. They never called me. I had even double checked that I put the right phone number and it was correct. They just let a random person cancel my reservation and this man yelled at my parents saying there was no reservation and they needed to leave. Lastly, the place smelled horrible and it definitely looks like they very little cleaning staff or any at all. The place looks super run down. Honestly a blessing in disguise that my reservation was cancelled. (WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!) I know it’s a super cheap hotel but do NOT waste your money on these rude, disrespectful, and clearly miserable owners who don’t know how to treat people with basic respect and decency. Please spend an extra $20-$30 at nearby hotels in the area. If you want a better and affordable option, I suggest Microtel Inn & Suites just down the road which is where my parents ended up staying and they loved it.

We were in the process of checking in and the middle age Indian man made a copy of our credit card. We live in Germany and my boyfriend is from Germany, we were not aware of what the process was for checking in and had asked him politely why he was making a copy of our credit card because it was something new for us. Without giving us an answer he ripped up the paper and said, "if you don't like how I do business, you can leave. We were shocked at what he said and had to take a minute to soak it all in and again he tells us you can leave now.

I would rate a -5 star if I could. Upon walking into the room, I found a crack pipe, torch, belt, and some coins that the owner claimed to be the maintenance mans stuff he left behind. Found some dead ants in the extra pillows which shows they were not washed and replaced recently. No free breakfast as advertised The “free wifi” couldn’t even performed an extra google search. No door to the bathroom, and the curtain had white stains all over it. They took our towels and never replaced them. There’s thin doors between rooms. I could hear the next door lady’s entire conversation on the phone and her yappy dog all night. On the day of your checkout, you get an unsolicited 9am wake up call. Then at 9:50 the owner knocked on our door saying “check out time now” when the sign clearly said it’s at 11am. He then says that is for contractors which isn’t as advertised anywhere. When checking out, my payment was $80 higher than originally confirmed. I cannot believe this is acceptable by any company. Even with being a college student, my expectations are low. But this is outright ridiculous.

Bedbugs in room 112! Service horrible. Got hung up on after being told "the charge stays". In addition, "John" claims that he had "Pest Control of New Braunfels already check and there was absolutely nothing" adding that he should charge me $180 for the service fee. Funny thing is that company doesn't exist. Never experienced such disgusting service in my life. Absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone. This will definately be reviewed further as well as reported to BBB and more. I wouldn't even give this place one star but unfortunately in order to post this i had to select something...

Worst hotel I’ve ever seen! Literally. There’s a program for mentally disturbed people on the top floor, and they don’t tell you this. They’re nice men but being alone it was unnerving to be among. It was absolutely filthy with bugs and the manager is horrible. He kicked me out 15 minutes before check out for no reason, apparently he does that. He was just really really rude and I’ve never had a worse hotel stay. DO NOT stay at this dump. There’s no ice machine, no breakfast, no amenities. He did let me check in a little early but then flipped out when I wasnt ready to LEAVE early, it was bizarre. Zero stars

I contacted the hotel directly and spoke with a woman named Julie, who has an accent. I was making a reservation and had a few questions. I provided my name and credit card number to her. This woman was already frustrated and angry that I was asking questions. My last question to her, she raised her voice, stating that I asked many questions and that she was done with me. She slammed the phone and disconnected the call. Incredible that this is the type of front desk individuals who are there to greet and assist the customer. After all, I am paying for the room, it was not free. The telephone call was recorded. I would never advise anyone to stay at a place who treats guest such as she did.

I was very disappointed with the conditions of this Inn. There was a dead roach in our room, you could never get the TV to receive any channels, coffee pot in the room but no coffee, ice machine not working, they advertised Breakfast, but had none. The outside looked like a garden center with at least two parking spaces covered with plants, even the office was packed with plants. There is a hot tub outside that has no cover and there is “Green” water in the bottom. Back when I was a regular at Wurst Fest, this was my go to place, but after this stay, my wife and I will never stay here again. I gave it one star but that is pushing it way to far, if I could I would give it a negative 2 .

Don't be fooled by their Cheshire cat smiles, the Management is awful. Rooms are roach, spider and other creepy crawly infected. While I empathize with the Homeless that are housed there, some of them aren't safe to be that close to, especially if you have children.

One of the worst hotels I've ever been to the customer service was very rude and he scammed my grandma out of money on her credit card and the ACs didn't work and the beds feel like they haven't been cleaned in years I would rather sleep on the sidewalk then here.

Rooms were the absolute worst, pillows felt like they were made of cardboard. Bed felt itchy all night, do not recommend using the bathrooms at all keep bathroom door closed at all times, needles found in trash, trashed wasn’t changed. Just to top it off someone offers me meth while wheeling in my luggage.

Don't ever stay here even if you have to sleep in your car instead. In fact we didn't stay and we were charged for one night on our credit card. Still better than staying here. It's a low income housing complex that calls itself a hotel if they have a room available. Lesson learned.

Haven't stayed there, but one call to the person manning the phones tells me I never will. All I did was ask for a guest room and instantly, without looking it up, he said, "there is nobody here with that name,' and then hung up on me before I could ask for a different name.

I chose the Edelweiss Inn Hotel located in New Braunfels because I thought I was going to give my money to a family that cared and not a big corporation. Boy I was so so wrong!! Original family SOLD- I did ask the lobby employee. New owners DO NOT CARE about you. We arrive to the hotel on July 21st , 2023 when summer external temperature was a record 103F and room AC was OFF when we arrived and room was VERY HOT. We stayed in the suite # 221 which is a bigger room in the 2nd floor and a corner of the hotel, located right besides the exit going to the main 35 highway. It was noisy throughout the night. It took 4 hours for the AC to bring the temp down to at least 80F. 6 hours to finally feel comfortable at around 70F since AC is older and room is a suite. We suffered from heat during THE FIRST 3 hours and wanted to move to another hotel but were too tired due to driving and working all day. Husband is 65y/o and he suffered from this experience. Grab bar is not safe (out of code) in the bathroom is coming off, when I held myself from the handle to go into the bathtub, the handle stick comes off and I almost felt. I have been going to the gym for the last 2 months, so I did not fall. I made my husband aware of this issue to prevent him from falling. Bathroom vent is not working. By code it should work because bathroom do not have windows. The bath tub is also at a height higher than a regular bathtub- SO IT NEEDS A SAFE GRAB BAR!! I had to raise my leg higher than in any other hotel with a bathtub; possibly because it is an old bathtub spa (?), but I am sure there are regulations around adequate bathtub height that hotels need to review/follow. The smoke detector is older than dirt; look like an antique, plastic is dark yellow. I wonder if it even works?? Coffee machine did not have coffee Sink did not have a stopper. The suite looks like a museum, very dated and dingy with old furnitures and unnecessary old equipment in it. Carpet looks old and dingy. I brought extra pairs of socks and after I took a shower I walked the carpet with my socks on because that carpet look old and gross. The stairs that goes to our suite cannot be used because the are UNSTABLE according to the hotel person in the lobby- she made us fully aware NOT to use the staircase going to our room (why should we???), so we needed to go out, up one level and then around and into the upper side of the lobby ( same place we left) and voila! we found our suite. This is a code violation. There is a fan falling off (you can see wire exposure) right outside our suite, this is a code violation. There is a grey bucket outside every AC unit in the first floor to catch the condensation. Is this a code violation? Lobby WAS HOT and uncomfortable, with no seats ( full of plastic plants, so you don’t seat or stay there) there is a loud plastic duck screaming at you when you enter and when you leave the hotel lobby. We should have listened to the duck! There was only ONE large towel per adult in the room (they don’t want you to use their water I guess) Also ONE KEY given to you, we were two- no questions asked. The refrigerator inside our suite was DIRTY. BUYERS BEWARE!!!

Check in was very rude to my husband the wifi is ridiculous can't connect to anything and room is very over crowded with furniture tried to call the hotel and get help connect to wifi and the person on the other end was very rude and rushing to get me off the phone. Beds are uncomfortable feels like laying on a pile of bricks and also was told if we checked in to the room before being confirmed it was ready for us we would be kicked out.

If I could give this a zero, I would. Lots of questionable things happening at this establishment. We had a girl’s get together and stayed here overnight. Extremely overpriced and was an absolutely filthy place. Hot water faucet was not working properly, coffee pot in room with no coffee, dirty carpets, outdated and cluttered rooms, potted plants in parking area with a random hot tub, and shady characters hanging around. The worst part was finding a used condom under our bed. Check the pictures and reviews before booking.Do not stay here, you are better off sleeping outside.

Beautiful building like a page out of a story book !! The rooms are large there are some people that live here that are homeless as I did for a while. Everybody you meet his story and it’s really nice ! It’s conveniently located in new Braunfels, Texas , shops, restaurants everywhere it’s a beautiful building, and it needs to be preserved!!

I was harassed my first night in. Front desk call my room yelling at me to stop bringing extra people in my room. I told them there was no one else here and they screamed "im coming to check!" And I never saw anyone. For three straight days I got a wakeup call I never asked for and one of them was at 6pm. Not going back.

Fresh vomit on the pullout couch. ROOMS ARE HORRIBLE AND DIRTY! Smell is horrendous. You are better off staying in your car.

Wifi sucks. They have 3 networks and seem to turn them off throughout the day. Rooms musky. Bedding smells like peanut oil or cooking grease. No door to the restroom so hopefully you know the person pretty well if sharing a room. Plants are literally blocking 4 rooms. You can't get your suitcase/luggage to your room without picking it up and stepping over and around plants. They are everywhere. At least a path to the room would have been nice. There's 4-5 men that were hanging out between the hotel and Texaco all day and night just sitting in chairs in the grass. Owner gave someone our room key because they thought we were checking out so someone walked right into our room. If you want to take a jacuzzi bath you have to let them know so they can charge you $10 to activate the jets. Needless to say I should have read the reviews. They are mostly all true.

The staff/employees were rude and disrespectful, when we had finally gotten to our room we discovered roaches crawling all over the counter tops. The beds were so filthy and look as if the sheets hadn't been washed. When checking out the hotel owners wife was rude and not respectful at all. We will never be going back to this hotel due to the lack of respect, cleanliness, and crackheads everywhere. If i were you i wouldnt stay here either.

Before booking I would highly suggest reconsider it because I could not sleep the whole night due to dust mite on bed and the rooms looks like those movie rooms that people have been killed in…
