We worked with the Driftless Trading Post team to shuttle us and our bikes from Houston to Fountain after riding the Root River State Trail. Great people who are full of local knowledge. Highly recommend working with them!

The staff was friendly and helpful. Bring your cooler and they have the ice, beer and snacks to pack for a beautiful Kayaking float. The river is calm, clear and scenic. The Trading Post kayaks are wider so you do not tip easily. You will enjoy a comfortable trip down river as you sit on top the craft rather than inside. A must do while visiting the Lanesboro bike trails!

This is by far one of the best flatbread pizzas I've ever had; smoked brisket with hot pepper bacon jam. Found it quite by accident while cycling the Root River Trail. Plus, staff was super friendly.

Went to Lanesboro to do a tube float down the river. We were turned away from two popular spots because we had a dog and a 3 year old. A third spot was closed already (2pm on a Saturday). Saw a poster for Driftless Trading Post at Sylvan Brewing and gave them a call. They set us all up with tubes, including a cooler float for the dog and kids tubes with a closed bottom. We rented a dry box and ordered all the pizzas while we were there. They did a great job of handling our big group. They were fast, friendly, and made our river float dreams come true. We had a fantastic time on the 2 hour float. Would absolutely recommend and come back 1000 times.

Just off the trail, this is an excellent lunch, dinner or dessert stop. The brisket Flatbread was really tasty. Also had the fish fry which was excellent. They have several beverage choices pop, beer, hard cider etc. For dessert I had a stuffed pie (?) that was really good. The staff was a couple of teenagers and they did an awesome job. I did not have, but this place also has Gelato. I would definitely recommend stopping here or planning a trail meal here. It's about 2 blocks from the Root River Trail. Also...it has indoor and outdoor seating.

This was worth the ride from Lanesboro and we can’t wait to come back next summer for tubing and kayaks. A cold beverage and great food as a reward for the trek. Be sure to get a Crush Raspberry Sour beer.

Had our lunch here while biking from Whalan to Houston. Dave, the owner had shuttled us from Houston to Whalan in the morning. We had a great chat on the way - he knows a ton about the area and the river. Lunch was tasty pizza and Amish fry pies. Their food is all locally sourced. They have tables inside and out.
