We were driving through Aitkin and saw this cute BBQ shop, decided to stop for lunch. Four of us ate - all of us loooved the dishes. Pulled smoked pork was tender, juicy, and flavorful. Beer battered French fries nice and crispy. Decor was cute, following their theme of pigs, cows, and chickens. Staff was pleasant, and the owner / cook came out to check on people.

One of the best spots in Aitkin we have eaten at so far. The food was amazing, and the service was even better. Highly recommend the 1/2 and 1/2 fries and the corn bread!

Tried both the pork and brisket sliders with mac and cheese with extra spicy bbq sauce. Everything was top notch, owner came out to check that everything was good. Would recommend and will eat here again.

Food was excellent, had pulled pork and brisket sliders. Well seasoned, tender meat. Sliders were such a great option to try more than one thing. Delicious grilled brioche bun for the sliders were tasty. Service was so friendly and welcoming. Will be back for sure.

I need to update my review of Smokey Jake's BBQ. I had a chance to try the beef brisket, and I must say it is divine! Juicy, tender and a strong beef flavor have me hooked. No need to waste my time on anything else when I get that beef craving. I live nearby and can attest to the fact that Jake went first class with equipment and outfitting for his restaurant. He's highly respected in our local veterans' community for upping the ante for good food in Aitkin. You won't forget the flavors, service and great vibe this family business has added to the neighborhood.

The owners are very welcoming and cheerful.They go out of their way to make sure that you are satisfied with your food. Excellent pulled pork sandwich with a generous amount of meat on your brioche bun. Delicious fries, again a generous portion even with the small size. Haven't had all the sides yet but the baked beans are delicious 😃Can't say enough about how great the food is! 😍 I Highly recommend this establishment and Can't wait til my next visit!!

We stopped in on a motorcycle trip. We love bbq. Wasn’t sure what we were walking into but found EXCELLENT food. And the owners sat and talked to us ….told us their story. They make their own sauce which was top notch. Nice to try something new. Can’t wait to go back on my next trip to the cabin.

I always love coming to Jake's! Super friendly staff, Jake and his lovely wife will always come out to greet their customers. Portions are satisfying. Just a great place to eat, sit back and relax.

When my self proclaimed “foodie” brother told me to stop at Smokey Jake’s the next time we were in town I made sure to ask, “Why them seeing you’ve eaten at every restaurant in Aitkin?” He said because you like bbq and theirs is really good! I asked, “How good is good?” He replied he took two generations of his family there and ordered pretty much everything on the menu and declared it all to be excellent! Being a rib guy I ordered the half rack with a bean side. My wife opted for the pulled pork sandwich with a slaw side. She raved about her sandwich and I couldn’t believe how perfect the ribs were — thick, meaty, tender, no fat, incredible flavor! In a nutshell FANTASTIC!!! Can’t wait to get back there and give their grilled cheese and pork sandwich a try. Also, really enjoyed talking with the owners when they checked in to see how we were doing. It’s obvious they take pride in their work and the quality of the food they serve. My advice? Give them a try. Like us, won’t be disappointed.

I stopped here for lunch, I had a Cubano grilled cheese and Cole slaw. It was def one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! Highly recommend this place if you're near Aiken! Also the ppl working here are amazing!
