So you walk in and it's like a deli service counter and behind that is a 40 foot bank of black, cast iron smoking ovens, some with meat in them. One was open and you could just see hams (it's Easter). I got sliced brisket, beans, and potato salad, because that's what looked the best. These were the best beans I've ever had and it's not even close. The potato salad was almost like cold, skin-on mashed potatoes, and it was also awesome. Another thing I love is they don't mess around with a bunch of sauces. There's a red squeeze bottle of sauce on your table and that's it. Washed it down with a sweet tea. So good.

The food was delicious and they were understandably busy. Most people seemed to be getting take out but they did have an ample seating area. The entry area was a bit cramped and it was difficult to maunver from the ordering counter to the register. There were shelves and shelves of pig figurines in the entry area. They were not overly dusty, but they made the entry feel cluttered and took up space that could have been used for standing room. We ordered two full slabs of ribs with spicy sauce, baked beans, and cole slaw. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, smokey, and delicious. The spicy BBQ sauce was not super spicy (had a nice zip to it), and not too sweet - very good! I like a little more heat, but flavor is more important. The baked beans were very good and the coleslaw was fantastic! I would absolutely order food again as take out!

I have eaten here several times, there is a mixture of good and very good. This experience for the food was very good. Had the 2 meat plate with Brisket and pork...sides were baked beans and dirty rice. Very tender brisket with a good smoke flavor. The pork was also well done. I will be back.

Wow. I need to say it again, Wow. I ordered a full rack dry with no sauce or sides and that was a meal! Just parking the car you can smell the barbecue and when you enter, you know you are in a great place. Right behind the counter is a multi door blackened smoker device probably like 12' long and they feed it with logs to keep it smoldering all night and smaller chucks of hardwoods during the day to smoke. The flavor is excellent and the ribs are very tender, they cut the rack for you into individual ribs to make it easier to eat. Excellent quality meat and large portion. For reference I travel both domestically and internationally around 120 nights per year eating all sorts of local foods and these ribs are hands down the best!

A long line out the door, the best baked beans I have ever had in my life, that smoke smell that hits you when you enter the door, and watching them effortlessly chop ribs into sections because they are so tender. These are the experiences at Baker's ribs. Superb, just on another level of great bbq. You walk out to the parking lot or go to Champs next door, and it smells like barbecue in the area! I bet their neighbors get sick of it but I love it.

Read the reviews and decided to try this spot. Got there during lunch and went for the ribs and brisket. The Good: Ribs were great, fall off the bone. Portions and prices can’t be beat. The Bad: Brisket was exceptionally dry and had zero flavor (see pictures). This was cut directly from a new brisket that was just taken out. Definitely needed sauce. Got the spicy bbq sauce and it was more tangy/sour, no heat whatsoever. Better options in the metro.

I have been going to Baker's Ribs in Eden Prairie for years, and I've only had one bad experience. I went on a Monday and forgot that they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays! They are one of the best barbecue joints I've ever been to (certainly one of the very best in Minnesota) and they are incongruously situated in a tiny mall between a Leeann Chin and a Great Clips. This is another hidden gem that requires an 11:30 arrival if you want a prime table and don't want to stand in line. The line moves quickly, you are served on styrofoam plates, it's nothing fancy. But. It's amazing. The food is prepared in front of you. You watch as your smoked sausage, brisket, and ribs are cut and sauced in the kitchen behind the counter. The sauces are fresh and flavorful (go for the hot!). This is everything you want a small, clean, local restaurant to be. The wood for the smokers is stacked in the back hallway in case you were worried that you aren't in for authenticity!

Brisket is fresh. You see em cut it up. Baked beans are good. Cheddar potatoes are stupid good. They peel their own potatoes! A lot of “BBQ” in the upper Midwest is NOT on par with Southern BBQ. This place is legit.

We had the pulled pork sandwich, pork & beans and cole slaw. Portion sizes were above average with good value. Sandwich & cole slaw were very good, beans were excellent. Ordered at the counter and service was fast.

Baker’s Ribs features damn good BBQ with a Texas smokehouse atmosphere. Their ribs are smoked to perfection and pair well with their sides. I highly recommend their spicy BBQ sauce, it’s a winner.

Regularly frequent Baker’s Ribs for the smoked meats and friendly staff. All the meats are exceptionally juicy and delicious— ribs, sliced brisket, ham, chicken. If you’ve not been here before, I highly recommend the meat platters (2- or 3-meats) to figure out which meats you find most enjoyable! The tomato and dirty rice are delicious sides! Once you find what you like, there’s options to purchase the meats by the pound.

Love running over here for a good meal at lunch time!! $16-$18 for a plate of ribs and two sides is damn good!!! The ribs always fall off the bone! The slaw and potatoes salad are amazing! The beans are good too! I’ve only had the ribs because that’s what I like but the maintenance guys at my work love everything! They raved so much about this place I had to try and they weren’t lying!! The only thing I would their missing is come corn bread!

Fresh, hot, tender beef brisket sliced right in front of me. Amazing sauce on the side. Delicious savory baked beans. Friendly people. I grew up in the south where BBQ is a BIG deal. These folks get it right!

I’m from the DFW area and grew up going to Bakers. When I found out that there was a location here in Minnesota, I was excited with tempered expectations. I was BLOWN AWAY! The quality and flavor are just like home. Incredible TX BBQ with great sides and sauce.

This is as close to Central Texas BBQ that you can get in MN. If you want to check my credibility, go look at my other reviews. Ribs were great, no sauce on anything, just on the side. Slaw and beans are awesome. Brisket, links, and pork were solid. Eat here!

This place is a must try if you're in the area. I stopped by just from word of mouth and they did not disappoint. I ordered the two meat combo of brisket and ribs. Both meats were tender; however, the brisket was flavorless. I had the spicy BBQ sauce so that helped the brisket but overall I would stop in again and I recommend anyone else to do the same. The staff were all friendly and welcoming.

Ordered brisket, pork butt, ribs and multiple different sides from Baker’s Ribs for a large gathering. The food could not have been more tasty (we had many compliments). The workers and the owner (Al) were wonderful to work with and went WELL above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. You just don’t get customer service like this anymore, it was very refreshing! I cannot speak highly enough of this establishment!

We were there for of course the millionth time. I am originally from Texas and this is the ONLY place we will go for BBQ We love Al and all the guys. Your amazing but your food is even more amazing. Love the crazy Greeks

The sliced brisket on my sandwich was tasty but dry and burnt on the edges. Which made the edges hard to bite into. The beans and pasta salad were good.

Hard to find good BBQ in the southwest 'burbs but Baker's shines like a beacon! Pre-ordered meals to treat my crew and they had it ready and were very generous, welcoming, and genuinely happy to serve. Highly recommend Baker's Ribs for everyone!

I got the 3 meat combo plate: Sausage, Brisket, and Pulled pork. Sides were beans and potato salad. Pork was excellent, sausage was meh, brisket was tender but not anything mind blowing. Beans were good but have a unique flavor. Potato salad might have been the best thing; really good. Overall kind of underwhelming. Fine stuff if you are nearby, but nothing is go out of my way for.

Pleasantly surprised! Food tasted great! I’ve never been here before, so we gave it a whirl. Ribs were bussin, baked beans were good. We were hoping for some Texas style toast, but got bread instead. I’ll probably be back though for another round!

I was in the rush to order something alone with the Popeye chicken next door, so I called while I was waiting in drive through in Popeye. I told them what I needed, but as soon as I said that I will be there soon to pick it up, they just told me to go in to get the orders… Yes, it didn’t take long for me to talk to someone in front to get my orders (10 mins). But he still have to pack it up all that. (That’s why I have time to take pictures of menu) Nevertheless, the customer service still is good. The food is still ok, if you looking something as made local. Here is the place.

This place is the best! They're like a ma and pa shop with a big take on cooking and flavor. My bf and I literally will drive 15mins out of the way to eat there... *Drool!* They make their own bbq sauce and the portions are great!
