I'm in the market for a couch. I love R&B's style but their prices are a bit too steep for me, thus, outlet seemed like a great idea. This was my first time here. I arrived 15 minutes after opening on a Saturday. It should have served as a warning that I was the 5th vehicle in a train entering the parking lot and had a hard time finding a spot. When I entered the store, it felt like Black Friday shopping. Literally swarms of people, and as I squeezed through the crowds to look at the couches, I did not see a single couch without a "Sold" sticker already on it. I was hoping to casually peruse and maybe purchase, but, I assume to actually score an item here you would need to be waiting in line before opening and then make a mad dash to what it is you want; I'm unsure. The discounts I saw didn't seem to warrant such an experience. A $2800 couch was marked down to $2200, and a $1300 couch was marked down to $1100. If you enjoy Black Friday type shopping, knock yourself out. Otherwise I tend to think I would sooner pay full price than come back here.

Purchased 4 dining chairs about 3 years ago. They’re failing and the company will not do a thing because we purchased at the outlet. We have purchased lots of stuff at this company (both retail and outlet) over the years because we believed it was top quality craftsmanship and a company who backed their products. Good luck. We will choose to shop elsewhere in the future.

I will always recommend Room & Board, whether that be their retail store in Edina, or checking out the weekend outlet. When my wife and I began furniture shopping, we were at Room & Board Outlet every weekend waiting to see if anything showed up that we were looking for. Compared to other furniture stores, we have never felt pressured to buy anything through Room & Board. In fact, there were a few pieces we were contemplating buying, and the staff told us if we weren't 100%, check out the retail store and see if there is anything else we prefer - we can always come back another weekend to check the outlet. The staff is absolutely incredible! You can usually tell staff who is putting on a smile because they have to versus staff who is genuinely happy to be there to help people (everyone we've come across at Room & Board). If you're planning to be one of the first ones in the store, definitely get there an hour before, if not earlier!

I love R&B and I love their outlet even more. I live way too close for my wallet’s comfort! I’ll start by saying listen - this is not a place you go to get cheap things. The outlet will save you money but R&B is quality products so you still need to go ready to drop some $$ if you want to buy anything. But the R&B outlet has seriously shifted how I purchase items for my home. I cannot get Target and IKEA furniture anymore because I will pay more for quality. I have never regretted anything I’ve purchased from this place. There are no returns and you may get furniture that may have a scratch or two or is missing the felt pad in the leg but I have bought items from the outlet that really have no issue or easy to fix. Every piece of R&B furniture i have is impeccably built and beautiful. On top of that, I can feel good about the company I got it from and giving jobs to Americans. Last but certainly not least I am OBSESSED with their native meadow garden. What a unique, impactful and honestly smart thing to do. Each time I’m there in the summer I spend some time enjoying their native landscape. I appreciate this company’s contributions to creating local biodiversity with their garden and helping to educate those who stand in the sometimes long line to get in.

I have to admit, I was skeptical at first when a few friends told us to try the Room & Board outlet in our quest for a couch. The weekend-only hours and the competition didn’t seem appealing. But we gave it a try, as we recently moved and really wanted to find the right couch. We arrived on a Saturday right at 10 am, and the line outside was probably 50 people long on a cold January morning. The line moved quickly, and the energy inside the building was high. Lots of people, movement, and excitement. Even thought we went in with the intention of just looking for the first visit, and not buying (to decrease the pressure of needing to purchase that day), we found a couch we loved, which I am currently happily sitting on. The cashier was helpful, and let us choose our delivery date. The couch was delivered early this morning, and the delivery team was professional, prompt, and careful within our space. Overall, a very positive experience, and I already want to return just to peruse. In addition to couches, we saw arm chairs, mirrors, bookshelves, tables, and more.

I was a bit hesitant about going to this store after reading some of the reviews but after my 1st experience yesterday I'm glad I did. I arrived at the store about 30 minutes before they opened and there was approximately 25 people in front of me to get in. By the time the store opened there was probably over a 100 people behind me. If you are in no rush to purchase furniture and want to casually browse the store I recommend going on a Sunday afternoon. The staff is really friendly but remember there are a lot of people in the store that need help so if you want a personalized experience and take your time I recommend going to a department store. If you know what you want and you are capable of making up your mind quickly you will love this place. Especially if you're looking at buying room and board furniture specifically. I will say the most desirable items sell quickly on Saturday morning but if you go on a Sunday you can get a feel what the store is all about and very well could still find nice stuff. Good news is they restock the inventory for each weekend. I heard they also restock some stuff for Sunday but I'm not sure if that's true. I was able to buy a couch and dining room table for a total savings of over $2300. I wanted an accent chair but by the time I picked my couch and table all the best ones were sold. Both items were still on the room and board website so I was able to verify the original retail price( even though it's on the tag) as well as other details about each item I was purchasing. Both items were in excellent condition. I found that most of the items there are in very good shape but some of the stuff does have some noticeable damage. Be sure you look over each item very carefully as all sales are final. Bring a measuring tape! I've seen people selling stuff they just purchased at the outlet store on Facebook market place because it doesn't fit in their house. The people complaining that the stores pricing is still too high should try wayfair or ikea.. Are some of the items still expensive? Yes it's room and board. Can you find some high quality furniture with huge saving?Absolutely! Lastly I recommend you bring a friend or family member to help you hold items. if you walk away from something it could sell 1 min later.

We stood in the line for half an hour and got a kona table last weekend. We picked it up the same day. Since the table couldn't fit in our car, the delivery team took the legs off for us. After we got home, we found out that one of the legs was missing a piece and couldn't be put together in a stable way. The store did let us return the table but we had a July 4th weekend/gathering without a patio table, wasted 4 hours, and ended up driving back and forth three times to room and board outlet for nothing.

So much awesome furniture, and most of it 50% off! Room and Board sells lots of modern designs, and that's what stands out in this outlet store. The store is open weekends-only and all sales are final. People start lining up an hour before the store opens to get first look at the best deals, but I doubt it's worth that wait to see a couch 3 minutes earlier than the last person in line. Expect some showroom wear and tear, and some returned merchandise, but there are a lot of gems in there. If you're willing to accept a few scratches on the back of a piece in trade for a $500-$1000 discount, you'll love this place.

It has a few items, not really a great selection, but it is closeouts. Went on a Saturday within an hour of opening and selection was pretty blah. Pricing wasn't very exceptional either.

Love the products. Most of our furniture is from here collected over the last 30 years. Yet still feels modern. Prices and demand are up. Very popular. Not into their pride promotions.

Show up 20-30 mins before door open and bring friends to help "hold" stuff so you can keep browsing! The first 15 mins are overwhelming, but once you settle in, it's a blast. Our first trip, we snagged our ideal bedframe, a huge and unique bookshelf, and a one-of-a-kind rug.

Deals can be had on quality Room & Board furniture but manage your expectations. 1st, it does take some time to get in the store when they open on Sat and also checking out takes some time. Expect to spend 90 mins to 2 hours here. 2nd, selection varies every weekend so there's a chance you won't see anything good on the day you go and all the hot deals will be gone by Sat afternoon. They do deliver and it's a flat fee no matter how many items so that is a bargain! Don't need to rent a truck and find help to move.

Always fun to find a great bargain!! This isn't the secret it once was so be patient as there may be a wait to get in and also to checkout. Definitely worth it!!

Drove 4 hours to arrive when outlet store opened. Already a long line so my husband stood in line and due to recent surgery, I waited in the car until he got to the door. Unfortunately, he went into the store and was waiting for me just inside the door. The employee at the door told me I had to go to the end of the line. We left and will purchase our furniture elsewhere. We have bought a considerable amount of furniture from Room and Board in the past. Rules are rules you know so the fact he went inside first and there was another couple between us meant I had to go to the end of a very long line. Ridiculous!

Great customer service, prices are good too. Night and clean. Would love to see a coffee area inside or on the property.

Looking for furniture, and pulled the website and the first thing is "WE HATE PETS". I mean I don't take ours when furniture shopping but yeah I'm not buying from anyone who hates animals THAT bad to make stuck a headline as their website. Maybe the dogs don't like them? Dogs know. Always trust the dog. Going elsewhere.

Great deals, but a LOT of waiting. The line this Saturday wrapped all the way around the parking lot, and the checkout line was about 20-30 min wait as well. Nonetheless, we have found a few nice pieces that we likely would never have purchased at full price.

Excellent furniture, marked down due to previous returns, sold AS IS. Go early Saturday if you can. There might be a line! You can buy really good table and chairs at 40% or more discounts if you don’t mind a few scratches or blemishes.

This place is a gem. I almost don’t want to tell people how great it is. It does get very crowded and busy but the furniture, deals, staff, and home delivery are all top notch.
