Visiting from Maryland and was looking for local African food on Google and came across this gem. The lady who greeted us was so polite, wonderful customer service. The fried Croaker was seasoned and fried well well. The tomato sauce was emasculate over the fish with the jollof. My boyfriend was so pleased with his banku as it was big. I will be stopping by for more food before I head back to Maryland.

I've already made two trips here. Every single person I've met is incredibly kind. I told them I was tasting African food for the first time, and they allowed me to sample everything I ordered to make sure it was what I wanted and that I enjoyed it. Since this was my first time eating African food, I have nothing to compare it to, but everything was incredibly tasty. I had red red with chicken, light goat soup with foufou, and palm nut soup with foufou the first time. The Red Red with its chicken had a great flavor that surprised me for something so straightforward. The light goat soup and the palm nut soup had nice space levels.

I have been here twice now. Everyone I have encountered is terribly friendly. I let them know this was my first time trying African food and they let me try everything I was ordering to make sure it was what I wanted and that I liked it. I have nothing to compare the food with as this was my first experience with African food, but everything was delicious. The first time I got red red with chicken, palm nut soup with foufou and light goat soup with Foufou. The Red Red and it's chicken had a flavor I did not expect from something so simple as it was flavored amazingly. The space levels of the palm nut soup and the light goat soup were pleasant and the flavors were bold and enjoyable. We look forward to the next time we are able to go back.

Stopped in for lunch and it was delicious! I got the peanut soup with fufu; the broth was so flavorful, and the fufu was the perfect side, nice and warm! The owners are so welcoming and offered some recommendations as it was our first time there. Definitely check it out if you get the chance.

I came here today to order the Waakye Rice & Fish. This is literally the best African food I’ve tasted in my entire life. The rice was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. The fish was fluffy and well seasoned. The beautiful chef gave us extra sauce with our food, which Was an added bonus. I ran to my car, opened my food…poured my sauce all over it ( I love sauce) and i ate the whole tray while still parked outside the restaurant. I couldn’t stop eating. I highly recommend. Excellent job on the food!! Good Luck!!!

My absolute favorite place for some fufu and african delicacies, The spicy beef light soup is to die for!!! Even after moving still come to this location for their food and the owners are so sweet and amazing! Also love that the vibe in the restaurant is always light and positive, wonderful choice of music soothes the soul with the presence of The Lord <3 As long as I am in NJ I will forever stay coming here whenever in the mood for some fufu :)))))

First time visiting Asanka local this afternoon. Being a Ghanaian, the name "Asanka" drew me to the place and I must say I don't regret going there at all. Mike took charge and sorted me out with the delicious fufu and palmnut soup. He was so welcoming and polite, can't wait to get back there for banku, wakye or jollof. See you soon Mike, I appreciate your kind gesture. See you soon!

I drove an hour just to taste egusi and fufu for the first time and I must say it was an amazing experience! The owner is so nice and respectful, he makes you feel right at home. The food is amazing and delicate the flavors are just absolutely amazing. I took my leftovers home to my son and he loved it! So here we are back again to enjoy the amazing food and atmosphere I highly recommend
