Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I had the pancake tacos and my wife had buffalo chicken mac n cheese. Both were good. Our server was excellent. Wait time for our food was a bit long but not too bad. Price was quite reasonable. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Overall good experience.

Server forgot about us. The error was blamed on a system error but 45 mins is awhile to not check on your customers. The order was hurriedly placed a second time and the food came out shortly after… which resulted in undercooked mushy shrimp. The waitress gave us free dessert as an apology which was appreciated. The manager removed $7 from the bill for the soggy shrimp (the shrimp meal cost about $15). The bathrooms needed a cleaning as well. Biscuits were a bit too browned but were decent tasting. I almost forgot to mention there was a pincher bug on the table. I think it crawled out of the paper bag that held the napkin and utensils.

This is a great place for gift shop. We went in for a breakfast, had to wait 30-45 min just to get checked in, the service was great but the food we ordered came in cold and my husband had to order twice because of uncooked meat, both of times came in cold and uncooked, it was like the food was made in rush, also the eggs were raw and had shells part still in it. It was very disappointing.

Not been having much luck here lately. It seems like every time we order food there's always something wrong with the food. We ate here a couple of days ago and my chicken tenders were practically inedible. Dry, tough, chewy, and not even that warm. It was more like chicken jerky honestly. I'm guessing they had been incredibly freezer burned. The time before that, I ordered the same thing and they were burnt, overcooked, and again not even close to hot and fresh. The chicken and dumplings never look anything like the pictures either, all the dumplings clump together and are inseparable which is not very pleasing, at least to me. My wife has had issues with the fish as well. It's really a shame because we used to really enjoy coming here and did so frequently. Now I just never know if my food is going to be any good. The only thing good I can say is the service is usually very good and the prices are relatively low.

Good old fashioned southern style comfort food. You can probably hear your arteries harden with some of the dishes, but fried food and biscuits or cornbread smothered in butter are so good! Yes, it is possible to get healthy dishes, but I don't think that's what this place is about. Like most of the others you find across the country, the service is good, and the place is clean.

Service was quick, kind and helpful. The food is the comfort food I love. Some of the french fries were overdone but, everything else was wonderful. We come here often because we're never disappointed. Comfort food at it's best.

I ordered on the app for curbside, very slow. Came a few minutes after it said my order would be ready, waited over 10 minutes for them to bring out my order and the food was cold. Server also was rather rude when bringing out my order. If curbside is a problem please don't offer it.

Always good homestyle food value and friendly, comfortable atmosphere. Fun to browse nice gift shop before or after dinner. Never disappointed at The Barrel😉
