Update: I've been coming to this nar for a while now. I love the staff here! The bar offers a double pour as a standard! The atmosphere is always at 11! I'll take The Brownstone as a home bar!

My friends and I walked into the bar tonight as we normally do after a long shift of work on a Saturday. We work industry so we know how things go cash out when you can. The bartender was not John but who was also there that night as a patron. so we all walked in he was very disrespectful to all of us and it was very intruding on our conversations. He expressed his complains about all of us to all the patrons at the bar and it was very disrespectful. We not only felt uncountable but we also falt attacked as being gay we should not feel attacked in a gay bar. We had one drink and we ended up leaving because we were so disrespected and we felt so attacked so we went back to the bar that we were previously out at which was 704 where we had a great rest of the night. I'm giving this a 1 star review only because the lack of professionalism of the a bartender john that we were at that the bartender who was not working represents. if Jeremy or moosh was working this would probably be different but as the new bartender who has arrived currently he probably doesn't know what's going on so thought it was acceptable to have this continue.im sorry but me and all of my gay friends wont be going there again on John's shifts (Monday and tuesdays) I can spend money respectfully somewhere well worth.

I heard great things about this place and was so excited to visit but ended up disappointed. I got a double vodka coke that I watched "vodka" be poured into but didn't have the slightest taste to it (stone cold sober btw.) I got another shot and poured it into my drink and only then was able to taste/smell a slight whiff of alcohol. Whatever, I ordered a white claw to get a standard pour. It was room temperature out of the cooler 😐 message received, I'm not welcome and will never come back.

This is my favorite bar to hang out. The owner and all staff are so friendly and eager to serve all thirsty folks 😃. I would highly suggest this bar for anyone to attend. The prices are quite reasonable and always a great time to be had!

My experience over the years at this structure date back to "Arties Bar" during the 70s. Current ownership has provided a beautiful, clean and friendly atmosphere to its diverse patron base. Always a good time to be had by all!

Did not get food hence no score on that. This place has history and good people, drinks are top notch, welcoming of everyone. have a jack with a side of sass, (10 bucks plus just the tip) like lemonade in the heat on their porch.

This place used to be a nice bar to hang out. There used to be manly men bartending, a place where the bear community could feel comfortable. It’s not that place anymore. I see a liquor license change if ownership and I hope the new owner makes changes. I’m a bar manager and when I sit here I can’t even watch, because the place must be run by a blind person. Clearly no one cares. All the bartenders are female yet this is a gay bar that has bear parties?? The service is terrible. No designated service bar spot for guests to get a drink. The bartender is overwhelmed yet has a “bar-back” girl to stand there looking like a stripper and open a liquor bottle when needed lol. The logical thing to do would be have two experienced bartenders back there so you could actually get a drink when you finally squeeze into a spot at the bar. The bottled beer is piss warm and the draft is foam that the bartenders pour down the drain. There is no POS system so be prepared to wait 25 min to pay your tab. Then comes the bathrooms. Two single person bathrooms. Again, logic would put 2 toilets with stalls in one bathroom and a men’s urinal room in the other. You literally stand in line for 15 min to use the bathroom in a tiny bar lol. The 5-6 “regulars” are extremely obnoxious. The worst is a guy apparently named Mario that they over-serve and I guess people pretend to like him because he buys them drinks. They yell out, scream, push in front of other guests, sing obnoxiously loud, etc and again no one cares because there is no form of management or ownership in the place. What I wouldn’t give to bring back Neptune’s the last good Harrisburg bar. Hopefully someone experienced is the new owner of the bar.

They did not bother carding the 23 year old in the group. We went back to Stallions. They happily scanned his passport and were very accommodating. We had two women with us. The staff and owner @ Brownstone were extremely rude and very unfriendly toward the women in our group. I would never go back and and would not recommend this bar.
