Let's face it malls are definitely more like ghost towns than they were five years ago. Capital City Mall seems to be the busiest of any of the malls in a fifty-five mile radius of our home. With it being visited multiple times this year, we found it completely familiar and found all the things we were searching for there. With many stores, services and restaurants. The parking lot had a lot of spotted lantern flies at one point & we killed as many as we could while there.

I myself shop here quite a bit, but just based off of the ridiculous shouting/verbal fight that happened between 2 food court companies is uncalled for!! Especially when it triggered my son who has severe ptsd to the point where we had to take our food home because he didn’t feel safe! He was shaking for over 2hrs and took quite a while before he was able to calm himself down to eat. I get that they got involved and things happen but they need to realize that they’re also affecting other people around them that might have mental issues like my son. I don’t know when he’s going to feel safe eating there again because he’s going to remember what happened yesterday.. I hope in time he’ll feel safe so we can eat there as a family like we tried to do yesterday..it was a great day for us until everything went downhill…

Capital City Mall is a great place to shop! There were many vendors set up inside this mall for a small business expo for Black Friday Weekend. There was one small business vendor in particular that was at the Expo that I loved. It was called "Silberlight Creations" and they had a great selection of one of a kind gifts at reasonable prices (genuine leather jewelry, novelty mugs, and embroidered hand towels, as well as other items). I was bummed to find out that they were only going to be at the Capital City Mall for Black Friday Weekend, but the owners told me they were on Facebook and to look for their business page (Silberlight Creations LLC) and that they are working on adding products to their Etsy shop". Kudos to Capital City Mall for promoting small businesses!

We are so lucky to have such a nice mall in Cumberland County. I like how it's mostly "the same" as it always was growing up. I'm sure I am not the only one who senses a feeling of nostalgia while walking through the mall. Today was the first time I was in the mall in years and it brought back a lot of memories. Even some of the old anchor stores are still in operation such as JC Penney, Spencer's, etc. I was happy to see the Shoe Depot was still in business. I bought my first pair of Vans there in high school. There are also some interesting newer additions such as the sock shop and Fuzzy Wall (music memorabilia, posters, Magic, D&D, incense, skateboarding gear, etc.). I'm also a big fan of H&M and I forgot that H&M recently moved in. One thing I've noticed with other popular malls is that sometimes there are too many high end stores. Stores in this mall are mostly reasonably priced and thus more accessible to the average consumer. I think that is another reason why this mall is succeeding. The food court has some good options including some of the old classics like Panda and Sbarro Pizza. Additionally, some of the newer places were offering nice looking food. Bonchon is a little pricey, but I am highly impressed with their fried chicken. Their employees are friendly as well. Whoever is running this mall is doing a great job and should be commended. I hope they continue to keep things "the same" while also continuing to add interesting new stores and food court choices. I plan on returning soon.

I always enjoy a trip to this Mall. Many shoppers there on a late Saturday night. Glad they have Macy’s and JCP. There are also many small specialty stores and food.

Nice mall with a good variety of stores. I love Auntie Anne's pretzels and the store with the warm nuts. The food court is decent I suppose. I love the lamb over rice with extra white sauce from Shwarma Grill. It needs a Rainbow tho!

We ate at the Outback Restaurant. We had a blooming onion appetizer which was very good. A Chicken dinner and the chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Pork Chop dinner was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Our waiter was Austin who served our meal with a polite smile and very tentative to our requests. Thank you Austin for being you who helped us end our day on a high note.

Capital city is thriving right now. I love that this mall is still up and running. Keep up with the business Camphill. Love love love. If you are ever in the mall, I highly recommend you try the Boba!!!! right besides the Auntie Anne's Pretzel stand.

It's busier than expected mall. Pretty 90s has all your heavy hitters of corner stores even the few local shoe stores.

Mall is nice, one floor but they have something for every one and they try and keep up with popular spots. They recently replaced Starbucks with Cinnabon which in not sure was the smartest idea, but it does bring something new to the area that we don’t have. This mall is now the only mall in the area as colonial park/hbg mall are faded with hardly any stores. This mall is pretty busy, food court options could be better, but other than that we enjoy coming here.

I remember when they built this place in 1972. Sears is pretty much gone. Outside of Sears, in the mall part, used to be a head shop. They closed that down quick back then. Lot of memories there. Not what it used to be now though. Who buys at malls anymore?

I would recommend going on a weekday when school is in session because it's much quieter but some of the stores are really nice to go into

There are a lot of great stores here (I especially love the boba place) and it's very nice to have a mall here because I live in the middle of nowhere and this mall is 40 minutes away. The next closest mall would be way too far. The only problems are that everything here is way overpriced. You could find the same stuff online for far cheaper. I do like shopping here though because I love shopping in person. Also, the bathrooms are some of the most disgusting bathrooms I've ever seen. It took me 5 minutes to find a clean-ish stall, and even then I had to wipe the seat with toilet paper.

Good Shopping Mall. Went here to get my phone screen fixed at I cell Repair, took 30 minutes to fix it so during that time I went and treated myself to a massage in the massage chairs they have. However, the whole time I was getting the massage, I had to deal with hearing this Lady bickering at her kids who were fighting over the massage chairs lol. Is what it is though. Other than that I had a good experience.

This mall is definitely thriving! I could not believe the amount of shops open at this mall. Makes me sad that the other malls in the Harrisburg region could not figure things out as this mall has clearly done.

A fun place is slower than normal but I like that. As long as they keep riffraff's and kids running and yelling and packing like a punks

Nice variety of stores in this mall. Parking wasn’t a concern at all, even on a busy weekend. Good selections from food court

Really enjoy this mall, it isn't gigantic but it has alot of stores, including Macy's and JcPenny on either end. It also has an updated FYE which has tons of cheap dvds and cds. Lots of food options too

Why are you still shopping at this mall??? Nothing but basic lame clothes. If you shop here, I’m sorry you don’t own a Pinterest board and personal style. No cute stuff. Nothing fire. All BASIC clothing. Come to this mall if you’re looking for black leggings a sweater or crop top and some bircs. If it’s winter maybe ugg slippers. And if you’re a guy, the flannel and Nike hoodie combo with random sweatpants can be bought anywhere. But if you were looking to dress like everyone else. This is the perfect place for you.

Very few live malls left in this area. It's filled to the brim with small shops and outer shops located throughout the building. You can also find a very good food court here,

What this mall lacks in size is made up for in diversity of retailers. Aside from the dynamic variety of stores there are a handful of not-so-common retailers and businesses located here. As of the summer of 2017, Capital City Mall is undergoing major renovations on one wing of the building which will offer new amenities and businesses for mall patrons.

Pretty good shopping place lots of good stores but with huge traffic and long lines and crows of people in the main mall. The parking lot is mostly full, so I'd recommend parking in the areas of JCPENNEY or Macy's.

I'm so glad this mall has been slowly revamping since I was in high school. I'm very happy with the variety of stores and foods options. I love Boba Cha across from Box Lunch. I do, however, get concerned with the recent police incidents here. That's concerning for sure.

The most happening mall in the area. Lots of stores we like to shop. Decent food court. Don't really dig the junk vendors setting up tables in the mall.

One of the few malls left that isn't depressing to go to. Great stores and lots of shoppers. Hope it continues to be a destination for many years to come.

In my opinion it's one of the best malls on the East Coast. Considering that we're about to lose 2 malls in the near future in the Harrisburg area Capital City continues to flourish.

  • 5/5 Matt S. 1 year ago on Google
Capital City is the last mall left around the Harrisburg area. The rest are like ghost towns. Colonial Park and East mall have literally no shops left. Capital City is still thriving. All the best stores. They also have a really good food court and are close to other restaurants. Like primanti bros, outback, there is also a Dave and Busters. This is our go to mall for clothing and everything else

  • 5/5 Gerald S. 1 year ago on Google
Surprisingly nice clean place. I hope Amazon doesn't kill off the mall experience. Kick your kids out of the house and make them gather at the food court in every town you are in.

Malls in America are dying. It's unfortunate but this mall suffers the same issues. There are some good things about this mall. Dave and Busters is a good time, the restaurants in food court are good and offer a lot of variety.

Brings back memories; mother in law cussing me out, DQ and Chinese food. I can't remember the name of the place but it is not there anymore, had great Cheesecake. Looks like the mall is thriving well in this economy. I didn't see any shops empty.

Pretty good mall, lots of stores, super fun staff. The only problem I have with this mall is the bathrooms. The bathrooms are always filthy and there is never any toilet paper.
