It's the worst restaurant in Harrisburg, the staff does not have the proper training, they collapse frequently especially at their busiest time. Not even the staff and employees care about the customers, it's a shame and I don't recommend it. 12/25/2023

What a joke. 20 minutes to take an order. Another 25 to receive it. Coffee served in tall soda cup without sugar, creamer or spoon. Served scrambled eggs instead ordered sunny side up. Colorado omelet consisted of 2 creeps sprinkled with cheese, bacon and some other misters meat. Ordered mushrooms and extra bacon were nowhere to be found. Please do yourself a favor avoid this place.

Ordered Mac and cheese in an almost empty restaurant on a Sunday evening for my kids. Waited over 30 mins for the server to come and tell us that they are out of Mac and cheese which was so surprising to me. What took them 30 mins to figure that out is beyond me. When the food came out this is what the “avocado toast” looked like. No seasoning no toasting of bread nothing. We were driving through Hershey and stopped at IHOP coz our kids were familiar with the taste and service. After a long trip they just wanted a comfort meal. Beyond disappointed.

Horrible experience. 1 person running the whole store. Food was terrible. I asked for scrambled eggs wet. These are like rubber. Got pancakes and asked for syrup. Could not get the guys attention for over and hour. Ended up throwing them out.

super gross, nothing was good. i got French toast and the blueberries were frozen and it came with lemons. we asked for a egg white omelet and got regular eggs. We also wanted bananas strawberry and whipped cream pancakes and we got pathetic looking bananas. Everything had no taste and took forever. don’t waste your time!!! Got to the Waffle House nearby. WORST. IHOP. EVER!!

When we got there they were a little busy so we expected a wait. When we finally got sat down we waited for about 20min for someone to get our order. Then we didn’t get our order for about an hour after that. Someone who came in right before us got their food, ate, and left before we got ours. We didn’t get our drinks until I the attention of someone who wasn’t our server. And then when we got our food it looked like they slopped it on the plate. I get that it was busy, but the service overall needs to get better, this isn’t the only bad encounter I’ve had here, it’s every time I come there. I can say fully that I will not be coming back ever.

Arrived today (a Sunday) at around 10:30am for breakfast, and the restaurant was packed. The hostess told us we would have to wait about 10-20 minutes before a table would be open for us. Once we were seated 20 minutes later, we immediately noticed the table had a small bowl of sugar out in the open! (see picture) We made sure to order our food immediately along with our drinks, and luckily we did because the food still took close to 30 minutes and not all of our food came out at once. Two of us got the pancake combo, and when the food came out everything but the pancakes were brought out. We had to wait an extra 20 minutes for the pancakes, which was after we had finished all our food. Between the sub-par service, the cup of open sugar on the table and the plastic cutlery, this experience should receive only 1 star, but because the food was decent, I give it (barely) 2 stars.

The service was good. The food was good as well. I am not a huge fan of chain restaurants. I've been into numerous IHOPs across the country, this is probably one of the cleanest locations although outside of our server, the rest of the staff wasn't that friendly. That made the atmosphere a little weird. The positives, the food was good and it was served quickly.

So I believe the place is fairly new or redone the employee said. The food presentation wasn't the best but the service wasn't that slow. We had a waiter trying her hardest, but the cook messed up our order a few times even though the waiter wrote everything right. I feel like they need more cooks because my fries were undercooked, however the rest of the food was very good. For service I'd give 4 stars but food/presentation mixed with time waiting 3 stars. I would go back when they get more cooks.

The food was great and was promptly delivered to our table only 6 minutes after ordering. Darita was our server and she was amazing. Our food was cooked to perfection. The iced coffee was amazing. Great job IHOP...

I had a very great experience fast service staff was very kind. Food was hot and fresh. Patty Went above and beyond the call of being a server ask if I needed anything offered new items. Extremely accommodating do the outstanding job. If I had my own business, I would hire her. She was Beyond amazing and a fabulous worker. Please give Patty a promotion and a raise.

Nice people but they're completely overwhelmed and unable to provide a standard service. No milk left in the store per the waiter and no one could get more is what she said. Kitchen backed up so there was a 45 minute wait list to be seated. One of our meals crashed on the floor in the kitchen and had to be remade. Only one employee stationed at the front who looked like he was no older than 15 years old and yet he was expected to run the show. No manager or older adult in sight, minus those bringing out food. Long lines of customers waiting, grumbling, turning back incorrect food orders. Made for a depressing experience. On the upside, the food was great and the eggs and pancakes were made perfectly. Somebody in management lend these guys a hand!! Thank you to those valiant people who did their best but OMG it should have just been closed. It was really painful to watch. I felt so bad for them despite my party's 45 minute wait time to be seated.

My sister and I went in about 1pm on a weekday. The place was almost empty. Once our server delivered our food, we couldn't find her or anyone to send back an order that wasn't prepared correctly. This finally arrived but it still wasn't correct. Again we could find nobody for service or drinks refill and we had to search around for anyone to give us our bill. The food was terrible. I had a turkey sandwich, it was so dried out it wasn't edible. We basically spent more time waiting and chasing any employee down than we did eating, never mind enjoying some rare time together. We should have gone to Waffle House, it would have been a better experience, and that's not saying much! Never again.

I visited this IHOP on Mother's Day. The service was slow, OK, it's Mother's Day, but the restaurant was half full. Large parties but only one server. The manager was seldom seen. However, when she did show her face, she was more interested in the Big Red wig on her head verses if the customers were satisfied. The food was terrible, I was charged for an entire meal, but I only received 1/2 the meal. The manager had the aduicaty to argue with me about discounting the meal. Note to this Manager if a customer did not receive a full meal, the MEAL should be removed from the bill. This IHOP should re-evaluate management. I will never visit here again. Please spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Oh, and that the Avocado order I recieved pictured.

The food is decent. They take portion control very seriously and you don't get very much. To me the pancakes are smaller than other places I've been. All in all would I come back? Yes

Plastic silverware, no salt and pepper, no sugar, no anything on the tables anymore. Which means you need to try to find your extremely busy server to get things 3 times that should already be there. Not consistent with food quality. 2 of the same meals are totally different. 1 burnt bacon, one burnt eggs, 1 to much topping, one barely any..... I miss Ihop of old.

We placed our order at about 615 and didn't receive our order until between 640 and 645 till we got all parts. I asked why it's so slow, I was told it's cause they do the orders as they come in no matter if take out or in-house. There was another group only came in a few mins behind us and still waiting for their food so long. Issued plastic utensils and then I see they are wrapping the normal metal ones in a booth. During all of this from order till received food there was only 4 table at most and 1 person that was sitting waiting for their takeout. One of our orders had fresh fries another and what looked and tasted old/stale. The biscuit is yellow from being soaked in butter on the grill. Very very poor quality of service. Order was Strawberry and cream crepe Sausage gravy and biscuit side (was no sausage in gravy) Ham and cheese omelette Southwest burrito with fries (over fried fries) Kids tenders and fries They came to deliver food, ask if need anything and finally get napkins cause I said something. Then come back again to ask and order milk shakes. As she getting the order another shows up to give bill that don't even have them on it. She then said don't worry about milkshakes she not gonna charge us. They even had to ask again which milkshake was to be a kids size. It has been over 3 years since I've been here and I can clearly see things haven't changed in overall service. Milkshakes took over 13 minutes. Again when i said why so long she says they so busy, but yet it's not very full. Not to mention the attitude that they all seem to be giving off especially if you say something about the speed of service. Even came up to ask if ready to pay after 2 mins of reciving the milkshakes. 1 is for a 4 y/o so no I'm not leaving yet.

Pancake day and snow did not make for a good combination today. Waitress never came back to check on our table, forgot a drink and took 30 minutes to get our check. Pancakes and bacon was good. Was overcharged for something

So today there were 3 of us. We ordered, and shared, the following: Breakfast crepes - they received 5 Thumbs Up out of 6. Stuffed with scrambled eggs, hash browns, 2 different types of cheese, and bacon, then cheese on top. The flavor was nice, however I didn't care for the hash browns. Spicy Poblano and Beef Eggs Benedict - 3 Thumbs Up out of 6. The potential was here. The poblano peppers were not spicy at all and the beef was lacking flavor. We added salt, pepper, and extra hollandaise sauce - that made it better. Blueberry and Lemon Ricotta French Toast - 5.5 Thumbs Up out of 6. Literally just needed a proper serving of blueberries. The french toast was thick cut and cooked perfectly. The lemon ricotta was mild, bright, and flavorful. Strawberry Cheesecake Pancakes - 3 Thumbs Up out of 6. Honestly, tasted like plain pancakes with strawberries on top. They said the bits of cheesecake were in the batter. My suggestion, put a light layer of cheesecake in between the pancakes. Save your money and order plain pancakes with berries on top.

The food is OK, but the sliverwears are a little dirty.

Absolutely horrible experience at IHOP in Harrisburg, PA. The hosts watching the counter put me on a 1/2hr waiting list which was fine, I waited in my car. After 30 minutes of waiting I checked to see what the status of our table was. The girl said there was still a 30-minute wait. I told her I already waited for 30 minutes. She then said just a few more minutes. So I sat on one of the inside benches waiting for my name to be called. After another 15 minutes the girl asked what my name was so I told her. She then said my name was checked off the list as if I was already seated and served. She then miraculously got me and my girlfriend a table. We sat there for another 15-20 minutes without a server coming to greet us or take our drink order. We ended up leaving and going to Olive Garden. After leaving, I called the restaurant to speak to the manager but the same girl working the counter answered the phone. I asked for the Mgr and she said the Mgr was busy then hung up on me. That girl should not be working there or anywhere that requires customer service experience. I would NOT recommend going here.

Lots of employees standing around, but we still waited about 10+ minutes to be seated in a mostly empty place. There was food and trash on the floors and dirty tables. We should have turned around and left but decided to stick it out. It took 1/2 for our meal - 4 people. Another 10+ minutes waiting for our check. We were traveling, so there is very little chance we would return, even if we lived in the area

I don't know who the night cook was at IHOP on the nights of August 19 and August 26th but let me tell you the food was amazing. Both times I ordered the bacon omelette. On each occasion when my food arrived from delivery, it was still hot, presentation was great and the food was excellent. Your over night cook on these 2 nights need to be complemented on a job well done. Thank you for the great food

7/24/23. My husband and I went here for breakfast. We got a seat right away. It was freezing so I asked to move. We went to the back. So much better, our waitress Nicole was amazing. She didn't miss a beat for only being there for a month. We will go back because of her. But, when we walked in there was a lady filling syrup bottle at the table where you pay and get a table...That was gross!!!. And needs to be addressed. That's a no no. But never less it was a very good experience thanks to Nicole. We will be back! Hope to see you again Nicole. THANK YOU!!

Our food was fresh and surprisingly delicious. Our waitress was very sweet but being spread to thin. Thankfully more help came later on. I asked if paying cash was okay was told yes. Only they had to go to the back for my change and forgot the coin change part of it, which I just blew off. However if someone wants to pay cash and you say it's okay, you really should give exact change back not just the bills and call it a day.

Server was dismissive with rbf the entire time. She didn't ask about refills or check in, in general. Forgot the toast for our orders. Food was poorly cooked and cold. Asked for plain sugar and she handed us a few packets soaked in we don't know what.

We arrived at 6:30 on a Saturday morning and had the most pleasant experience. As we entered, we were immediately greeted by a friendly hostess who walked us to a booth and poured our coffee. Then, the sweetest server, Khaleedah, took our order and helped me customize an omelet to fit my dietary needs. Our meals arrived quickly and were delicious! We were also regularly checked on to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. This was our first visit to this IHOP, and it definitely won't be our last.

We we're seated by the front end girl who self admittedly didn't know what she was doing and we we're only tended to when the server for our area happened to notice new people in her section. The front end girl then brought us our receipt mid eating as if to rush us out the door. The food was great though but I mean... it is an IHOP, it was gunna be good.

If I could put a zero on it, I'll put it on, I made an order and they sent me whatever they wanted, it's very impotent to make an order and you don't have things and then I get tired of calling and they don't answer the phone. do not order here they are irresponsible. I asked for my order at 9:13 am and the latest my order would arrive was at 10:55 my order arrived at 11:30 am, this is an abuse

Where should I start? We had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. After we got seated, it took about 15 minutes for our waitress to get to us. To be fair it was really busy. She took our order but we never got our drinks until after our food came out. That took a full hour... The silverware is plastic which I thought was weird but ok. Now on to the food. The bacon was not cooked. It was beyond rubbery. Got pancakes with what was supposed to be whipped cream. It wasn't. The strawberries on the crepe topping were frozen. Never did get our check after asking twice. Had to go up to the front to pay. Never got refills on drinks. Our server actually never came back.

Service was very good. Food was hot and fresh. Not sure why my butter was on outside of my toast but ok... 9.00 for my breakfast. Not bad.

I LOVE IHOP. But Not this IHOP I’ve tried for the third time since I know that anybody can have a bad day… the food I swear it had to be from the day before… BAD BAD BAD BAD NOT WORTH HARD WORKED MONEY

Every time I order my omelette on DoorDash, they never put the ingredients that goes on top. It’s always just the steak on top of the omelette, no tomatoes, no bell peppers nothing. And I always call to let them know but they never answer the phone. Now I have to eat a plain omelette, again. The only extra thing on there is the avocado I paid for.

I visited this establishment twice in the last month or so. My first interaction showed poor customer service and poor food quality. This time around, my Server Jahyvion was exceptional, being very attentive to our table. He was sweet with a homely personality. I felt very welcome and the food was great. I'll definitely be returning!!
