Always something to do here. Fishing , hiking ,rafting , canoeing and more. Many different types of wildlife. I take my friends kids here and catch frogs , tadpoles , crayfish and they enjoy it more then anything.

We didn't go in the forest. We were kayaking Little Beaver Creek, which is one of our favorite waterways. Perfect day - 80 degrees, and the river was at 4.3 feet and flow of around 700....

I love this place. Its a quiet well cared for park. It has plenty of picnic areas. I've only had 1 time i didn't like it there and it was not the parks fault it was nature's..... the cicadas were out LOL. It does not help when you're terrified of those things.

Beautiful and quiet location, we followed a game trail down to the creek to look for arrowheads, although we came up empty-handed in that regard, we still had a pleasant hike. There were lots of mushroom species to see and we found some various animal bones which we left where they lay.

There are (I believe) two parts to the Beaver Creek State Forest, which are not to be confused with Beaver Creek State Park. This review is for the section of BCSF near the Ohio/PA border. While there is a surprise or two here worth seeing, mainly the old railroad elements, this section of forest is littered with garbage and industrial waste and it seems as though it's been this way for decades. There have also been mentions of swimming holes within this area which I took upon myself to go find. One of them was in fair condition with more amphibian life than I've ever seen anywhere else, there was however a slight smell of sewage and I'd never consider it a swimming hole. I went out and found two more of these "swimming holes" to discover that neither of them supported any animal life whatsoever and each had a foul odor. The fact that none of the many pathways actaully lead to either of these should have been my first clue that they weren't worth visiting. If you check this area out, your time would perhapse be best spent taking a walk down the old railroad track trail and leaving it at that.

I use to go here all the time. So beautiful and serene. When I was down I would come here and just sit or walk the trails. I love the old buildings , one of my friends got married in the old church. They use to have winter festivals here, I would take my children. Such memories held dear with this park

Google maps took me to a residential street to which it was gated off on private property when i put this place in my gps. There was a parking spot big enough for two cars on that street where i was able to walk up and see the old train tunnel. Trails here covered in fallen trees and overgrowth so not a great time
