I had wonderful experience at this restaurant. You gotta must try their unique chutney's Food is just excellent! What should I say!!! I really enjoyed my starters to mains to dessert. Please don't miss their famous Gulab Jamun and Kulfi Rabri! Everything is v nice! Shall visit here again soon :D

The restaurant CHUTNEY located in The Metropolitan Hotel is a vibe in itself. They serve the authentic pan indian food. The best part is they have more than 20 varieties of chutney. Loved the veg and non veg kabab platter. One thing that amazed me was the KARELA KABAB stuffed with cheese. It was so delectable and literally melting in mouth. Main course was amazing with Dal chutney which was infused with perfect blend of spices. Also i tried the palak mushroom, shahi paneer, chicken chettinad and goan fish curry. Everything was perfect in taste. Ended my lunch on a sweet note with the amazing Shahi Tukda loaded with rabri and Gulab Jamun Sandwich. I would highly recommend this place if you wanna try some real pan indian food.

What makes the food even more tasty is chutney and when the restaurant is named after our beloved love, we can vow for its taste So one afternoon we decided to head to Chutney at Metropolitan Hotel which is done very nicely, neatly and aesthetically. It wasn't only warmly lit but also enjoys natural light. The restaurant also has a private dining area for a small get together. Chutney restaurent has authentic dishes which have a fusion preparation with pan-Indian flavours which are served with a variety of chutneys. We tried the delectable range of chutneys including amla chutney, mint chutney, beetroot chutney, papaya chutney, kiwi chutney, tomato chutney and coconut chutney which were all so yum and colorful. Afterall they are made from rare fruits, vegetables and herbs. The unparalleled art of bringing fusion food to another level mixing classic taste of Indian cooking and giving it a contemporary twist is amazing. The dishes we tried include Malai Brocolli which was so exotic, Malai Santra Kebab just melted in the mouth leaving us wanting for more, Tandoori Paneer and Chicken Tikka which were both outstanding in taste. The Shahi Paneer Firdosi and Vegetable Biryani were again yum with great presentation. Both the dishes was nicely done. Paneer Firdosi is an Arabic dish wherein Firdosi means garden and this dish was presented like a garden. Daal chutney and the malabari parantha were also yum. Tasty flavours of India intact and beautifully mingled at chutney was a real treat.

The restaurant is in the Metropolitan hotel. The ambience is good. The food was excellent. Both the vegetarian and the non vegetarian options were delicious. The staff is very friendly and efficient.

A very sad ending to an amazing experience in India.. the most expensive for the most mediocre meal on our entire two weeks around India.. we paid more for this meal than we would have done in New York City where we live.. for those prices, I was expecting an explosion of flavor top quality food.. we order 1 starter between the two of us, tandoori chicken.. and it was so very dry, over cooked , it was spicy which we liked.. but that's it.. as it lacked flavor.. at this point we had been walking around New Delhi for 12 hours without eating, soaking in as much as we could before we leave the next day.. so we ate it none the less.. (you'd think anything would be delicious, considering how hungry we were).. then we ordered the tandoori roti.. remembering the one we had outside the jama masjid mosque.. and this tasted nothing like it.. just used it as a bland vessel to move the very meh! food to my very hungry mouth.. Then came the prawn curry with raw mango, which I expected to be flavorful and rich in taste.. but the rice was unseasoned and the prawns chewy rubbery and overcooked and the sauce... well, that was just ok.. we also ordered a beer and a plain soda.. with tip.. we paid $56!!!!!! Remeber this was just the one starter and one entree with a side of rice.. NOT OK guys!!.. If you want tandoori chicken that will blow your mind.. leave the comfort of the hotel, go around the corner to Kebabs and roll food stall and have one of the most mind blowing experiences in your life!!. I would pay $100 for THAT meal.. but only paid $7 for 2 entrees and 2 rotis

Piyush and Arun was amazing! He gave me my food very quickly and never failed to ask if I needed anything. I highly recommend anyone stopping by in New Delhi to stop by this bar and have specifically piyush be their waiter. He is awesome. Without him I would not have the great experience I did. 5 Star ⭐️

Amazing food! We have some great appetizers and the main courses was amazing. Arun and Deepak were great host and provided super nice service. Definitely will be back.

We had lovely food here and would highly recommend. Very good service. Just be aware that the location on trip advisor is incorrect. We liked the look of the restaurant from reviews and so went to find it 500 metres away, couldn't find it so decided to eat in our hotel instead due to bad weather. Guess what, it was inside our hotel (metropolitan)!

Delicious India Cuisine with Traditional Vibe!

The food and service were so great that we ate there multiple times during the trip! The dal chutney was my favorite and really good selection of bread. We dined here with friends that grew up in Delhi and they also approved of the food! Highly recommend.

Their online menu is unavailable. I wanted to taste the chef specialities and they're unavailable. I parked my car in the basement level 2 where they don't have staircase or escalator. I had to take the same ramp to go up through which I came down for parking. How unsafe it was, you can imagine. Service was extremely slow. I literally had to shout to get the food. As a courtesy they served a dessert without adding it to my final bill. I won't recommend this place to anyone.

We enjoyed such wonderful food this evening at Chutneys. The broccoli and cheese appetizer is delicious. But as always it is the servers that make one's meal special. Deepanshu took such good care of us steering us to great food and drinks. He was also so kind in listening to our adventures. Also our thanks to Uttam for his service. We loved our meals here.

Walked into chutney, Bar+Tadoor again for dinner yesterday and wasn't disappointed. The menu spread is Enticing and the food portion is worth the price. Happening place with great food. This is my kind of place when need for comfort Pan Indian cuisine. Loved it!

Wonderful experience We are 08 persons in chutney restaurant,it's a small business meeting while dinning. We had an amazing meal at Chutney. Our waiter mr Ritik was extremely helpful and advised us on different Indian dishes that we could have to get the full Indian experience. The food was top class, delicious and full of flavour. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone and offcourse I will visit there with family soon.

Good tandoor chicken, even though the quntity couldn't follow its price.

The service was impeccably poor, the server seemed to have been working against his whims, was in a hurry to remove our plates even while we were still eating, many options in the menu were unavailable. One chutney which we liked became unavailable after the very first serving, onions were served after asking, in very small quantity. Moreover we were asked to vacate the table as they had a "reservation" for 9:30 even though most of the tables were empty. This used to be a favourite some time back, but the service has really gone down.

Average and expensive as the quantity pet plate is very small in portion. They have not update their rates on dine sites. Serching on net, prices are low but when you invite your guests, after reaching there, you came to know that the prices are almost double. When guests are invited you have to pay accordingly the menu rates.

Had to stay in the Metropolitan Hotel for 3 days and had food from Chutney Restaurant. Atmosphere is nice, and the staff also so pleasing. Have to mention two names, Mr. Sunil and Mr. Deepak, deserves appreciation. A good try!!!

Menu serves a variety of good food and cocktails . Bartender piuyush was excellent in making cocktails .
