I just love everything here .. the ambience is serene, it is a treat for the eyes and adds to the experience and is not just for the sake of. Dishes become tastier when you experience them with their cultures intact, so basically the banana leaves will be the first thing you would fall in love with even before you taste the food!!!!

Finally, I can say that the search for best South Indian Restaurant in Delhi has come to an end. It's Naivedyam and there are no contenders that even come close to it's variety, taste or authenticity. The fact that the service is fast and the restaurant well maintained, only adds to the experience. I couldn't have asked for more. All dosas in the special category should definitely be tried once.

One and only South Indian option in Hauz Khas village. I really like the food here. They serve you a small glass of Rasam and a papad as a welcome drink which is quite tasty. Dosa options are good. Also the staff is cordial. All in all good environment and experience.

Generous portions of South Indian food at low prices. The Maharajah Thali gets you a lot for one person. The staff were quick and friendly. The place has a very unique atmosphere, with dark walls and ceiling, and traditional paintings all over. It gets a bit crowded, better arrive early.

Nice ambience and good customer service. About food...It was decent but nothing special is there. I tried Mysore chef special Rava and masala dosa, Holige payasam, Vada sambar among that Vada was not upto the mark. Vada was over fried so texture & taste was lil odd. Rasam was the best thing served among all the items and it tasted so good. Presentation was also very good but served plates could've been better. Overall this will be one of good South Indian restaurant you can consider visiting in South Delhi.

After shifting to Delhi NCR I have heard from many people that the Maharaja thali of Naivedyam is just awesome. Hence we went there. This branch is situated in Hauz Khas. The ambience of this is also very authentic and gives a proper south Indian style aura. We ordered two things namely Maharaja Thali and Bissi Belle bhaat. We were 3 people and we were full after eating all we ordered. Everyone is served with Papad and Rasam in the beginning only. The taste of the food was also really very good. The service of the staff was on time and regular. We were served with Paan in the end also which was unique.

This is best place to have food in hauz khas. They do thermal detection and noted our number. The table and chairs were sanitized. They have also marked chairs to sit. They offer great south indian food at very less amount. I would recommend everyone to go if you want to enjoy in this covid time.

I have visited this place twice now, and I don't think words will do justice to the experience. Think like going back home after a tired day - the warmth of this place is very comforting, as is the food. I have tried the kesari baath here which is not too sweet and very soulful. The idlis, the vadas, and the dosas are amazing too. I just wish they would ask us before providing us the rasam - it's complimentary. While the hot rasam is lovely to have during winters, it's not too appealing in the summers.

Great food . Only thing I didn't like was the approach. I went with my parents. There is no arrangement or at least mention on their website that it is a difficult walk on an unpaved road. Cars can't come to the door of the restaurant. A good place for younger crowd. I hope either the management mention on their website that this location is not handicap accessible or difficult for senior citizens or create some kind of convenience. Even the Uber/Ola is not allowed inside the complex. You have to walk good 300 metres to get to a cab in a unpaved crowded road very difficult for Senior citizens

Went recently. The quality of the food is poor. No longer what it used to be before lockdown. The ambiance was nice though. My experience would have been great if the food quality was a match to the environment of the restaurant.

The best south indian food place in Delhi NCR. From the service to food and the atmosphere everything is A grade. Had one of the best meals of all time. Thali is highly recommend and have some lime soda/filter coffee for a light drink after the food. Try paisam and rava paneer dosa as well. It's totally authentic and flavorful.

Courteous staff who took all COVID precautions very seriously. Loved the paan served at the end at a mere 10 Rs. Costs around 500 for two, ambience is decent.

The one star for the most inhospitable, rude ,arrogant ill mannered staff I have ever come across. Request the management to take it as a genuine feedback. The ordeal started fr tje moment we entered at 9:30 pm at the restaurant. The waiter come in a sec. ...says...Sir last order give fast . I requested him to give us time to go through the menu , in another min he was back again ...Sir last order . I asked when does restaurant get shut . He just went away then . We ordered some starter like fried idli & vada & 4 dosas to be brought in later . He got the starter and in some time we see the table full of food . By 10 : 14 we were halfway when the bill was on the table , lights dimmed and the waiter was again standing on our head looking at us to finish & manager was subtly instructing him and quickly wrapping up his table (in full sarkari employee form ready to leave for home ). Finding the situation so hostile to dine we paid bill mad left extremely unhappy Food - The food too was horrible . Vada was half cooked and raw from inside ( we returned) . The potatoes in dosa has no taste , sambhar was cold . Folks there are better South Indian options , avoid this inhospitable place were staff is in a hurry to rush home than serve .

Amazing location & beautiful ambience. I tried Jackfruit Dosa and Dahi Vadai, and I wasn't disappointed! Both have a tinge of sweetness so if you're looking for something spicy, these aren't for you.. The jackfruit dosa has a unique taste, so if your taste buds are in need for some adventure, you can try this. The complementary papadam and rasam were YUMMY! Payasam(Sevai) wasn't great.

Bought the Naivedyam South indian thali, packing for take away was poor. Portion of rice was way too little compared to Sambar and rasam. Rasam was not like rasam but tomato soup with grated coconut and sambar was just tamarind water. And they gave 4 pieces of poori and for which side was not even sufficient for 2 pooris. Payasam, poriyal, lemon rice and pickle was the best part. They provided an apalam and 2 small pieces of vadagam. And a cauliflower bonda kind of fry, which I had no idea what it is. Overall quality of food was good. Quantity of food and quality of packing was a concern. I would not say it's an authentic South indian meals. But maybe if I had dined-in It might have worked.

Great old school authentic South Indian food (Karnataka Style) in equally traditionally brilliant ambience. As soon as we sat down, we were welcomed with a glass of piping hot, delicious rasam. And the food right from Vada, Dosai to appan was delicious. Staff was very courteous and they treated with a gentle smile. We went around 3 pm hence we had to wait for 10 minutes. I guess, this is going to be our regular place to visit henceforth.

An authentic South Indian dining experience with awesome ambience. The place isn't in a hurry as south indian restaurants usually are. Pleasant atmosphere and lighting with good spacious seating area. There's a traditional touch in the design of the restaurant, attire of waiters, copper water glasses and banana leaves. The complimentary Rasam and Papad are huge awaited by us everytime we visit. They are 'satiating' to be termed appropriately. Thali to parothas to dosas utappams to desserts to ice creams.. I have almost tried everything on their menus. Every item tastes authentic and good, I can say this as a South Indian myself. My favourite go-to for South Indian food, especially if I am in mood for a relaxed dining experience. Do try their filter coffee and sweet pan.

As a South Indian, I heard some good stuff about this place but I do have stuff to say. Went here on a Saturday night, maybe around 10:30 PM. Haus Khas village is supposed to be a very lively and happening place at this hour and so was my expectation of the restaurants here too. Honestly, the whole nandi kind of decour they went for right outside the restaurant made it feel like it's a temple but obviously you have people wearing slippers going and sitting there, not exactly understanding the meaning and sanctity behind something like that. I'm sure they are trying to give that South Indian feel but this was low-key offensive and I'm sure a few of them would indeed agree with me. Secondly, no meals at this hour apparently, even on a Saturday night, nothing heavy and the only thing available was the dosa. The waiter came with a menu card and kept staring at us almost forcing us to order immediately and kept giving us some looks. Rasam as a welcome drink was honestly a bit weird if I'm being honest. What's worse was the waiter got the order wrong, we ordered benne rava masala dosa and they gave us plain masala dosa. Payasam was good, overall, I know we were a bit late but being a Saturday night, even our minimal expectations were not met and I'm not exactly going to vouch for this place as an amazing South Indian restaurant option in Delhi because the service was way below average too.
