An excellent place for kids to learn a lot. The dinosaur section is awesome and so is the mirror maze. There are different shows to enjoy though most were booked by the the time we reached as it was a Saturday. Would recommend you reach early on weekends if you want to enjoy the complete experience. There are various activities too in the last section based on science concepts. A little aquarium too for the tiny ones to enjoy. Overall a great place. A special mention about the security personnel at the entry gate. They were really helpful with a big smile on their face on a hot day. One star less for the few things which were out of order.

The National Science Center in New Delhi is a fantastic initiative, especially for younger generations eager to explore both the practical and theoretical aspects of technology. It covers a wide spectrum of sciences, including nuclear, ancient, modern science, and more. During my visit with my son, I was impressed by the wealth of content available, catering to various scientific interests. The center provides an engaging platform for hands-on learning, allowing visitors to delve into the intricacies of different scientific disciplines. My son, in particular, was captivated by the interactive exhibits, showcasing a keen interest in understanding the world around him through the lens of science. While the National Science Center in New Delhi stands out as a commendable institution in the South Asian region, it's fair to note that, when compared to science centers in more developed countries, there is room for improvement. However, it's crucial to recognize the strides being made in fostering scientific curiosity and education in this part of the world. In conclusion, the National Science Center in New Delhi is a great resource for individuals, especially the younger demographic, to explore and appreciate the wonders of science. Its diverse range of exhibits and commitment to education make it a standout institution in the South Asian region, even if there are areas where enhancement could be considered for future development.

The science floor was exciting. Enjoyed the interactive games. Although I feel it's more appropriate for age group of 10-18 since a lot of information regarding what we used to study during school curriculum is presented in interactive fashion. Good place to chill and learn with your younger siblings. We couldn't get the tickets for their extra shows - light and all. So recommend buying the tickets in advance. Better come around 11am to experience the place better.

National science museum or national science centre next to Pragati Maidan is a must visit for all children especially school going children to understand the science in terms of both written and practical. This is an amazing place and they regularly update the place with new sections and shows. Their shows are much recommended for kids awareness and understanding of science and different phases of human science. A must visit place for all.

One of the good place to visit with your family specially children....entry is for Rs.60 and it is totally OK !!! You get lot to see about science.... Fun items...Mirror Maze ... Fantasy Ride for Rs.40 was a great one... I loved it ... You get chilled water on every floor and also bathroom.... there is lift too... When you get your any ticket for any show there is a time given where you must be on time... otherwise shows run on that specific time only and if you miss the time then might be your money gets wasted!! So be careful as there is limited run time of the given shows..... You get to see about ancient people... Traditional methods used in ancient times... Tools and strategy.... Musical instruments, dinasours with sound and motion , stringless piano 🎹 was great to see.... There is a canteen too on the ground floor and also a luggage room on the right side of the cash counter on the entry... Thtas all ...have fun.... 🤘🤩

A good place to visit with your kids. A number of knowledgeable exhibitions. Would like to mention 2nd floor especially. Spend most of your time here. It is fantastic. 1 less star as most of the things were not functioning well. Buttons or lights or sensors were malfunctioned.

Very nice place to visit with friends and family group. Fantasy ride is also good adult ticket is only ₹60. Parking is also available inside the premises. Two wheeler parking is only ₹25 for full time. Firstly you collect your parking ticket from the guard then park your vehicle and then give the same receipt to the counter so that they can charge the parking amount in your receipt. In the ground floor they also have a canteen to eat fast food. Food was tasty and reasonable price. You can eat after visiting the place. I prefer please come in large groups so that enjoyment is also is greater.

The ticket counter outside dispenses entry tickets (Rs 70 per person, though concessional rates are available for groups), as well as special tickets for different shows at the centre. Since there is no written information about what these shows are, or what their timings are, we skipped this and went only for the entry tickets. The centre covers sections like science and technology in India from ancient and medieval times to modern; evolution (there's a very dimly lit prehistoric section, with moving models of dinosaurs); the human body and genetics; and a large section on fun with science, including lots of illusions (a mirror maze is one of the highlights here). A little erratic. A lot of the stuff is highly interactive (in some cases, forced), others are too technical and laden with jargon for most lay people to understand.

Science centre covers all aspects of science as well as history and social sciences. Good for children. Scientific theories explained with practical examples which children can try with their own hands. We went on Sunday it was crowded and took much time to buy a ticket.

"Visited the National Science Centre in Delhi and was thoroughly impressed! The interactive exhibits and engaging displays make it an excellent educational experience. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The architecture is captivating, and the location is easily accessible on Google Maps. A must-visit for science enthusiasts!"

Little brother is in class 6 and absolutely loved the Fantasy ride and went twice (worth the money 😆). The scripts and everything at the Centre is great. Recommend it to everyone. No matter the age group. The entry fee is 60/- per person and the shows and rides are extra. If you want to experience all of it the total will amount to 195/- per ticket.

Well, i must say my visit to the national science museum was very fun. They have so many artefacts and fun activities to offer, it all makes your visit worth it. The ticket price starts with 70rs and it increases as you add activities you want to do inside the museum like the 3D show, Hollow show etc. One thing I would like to mention is that their ticket selling service is bad. There are only 2 counters. It took me around 40 minutes to buy 2 tickets and I didn't get to see other shows as they were already full because they have limited seats for each show. So I would suggest you go as early as you can go if you want to enjoy every activity. Apart from this, you'll have an amazing inside. A must-visit.

You are not coming out of those doors without learning something new.

The National Science Centre established in 1992, is a science museum in Delhi, India. It is part of the National Council of Science Museums, an autonomous body under India's Ministry of Culture. It stands close to Gate no 1, of Pragati Maidan overlooking the Purana Qila. Enjoyed with kids. Kids will love it. Buy only ₹70 ticket and enjoy for atleast 2-3 hours.

Fantasy Ride is the star of the show here. Parking space is a mess. Don't go on weekends, especially Sunday. The place needs to be maintained better. The things which get broken due to excessive usage stay that way. The thing that they should truly update is to switch to central air-conditioning. Fans just don't cut it in this weather and with this amount of crowd inflow. Children aged 8-12 could certainly learn a thing or two. Apart from that, this place needs a overhaul

So much to see, it was a fun day, but some of the parts need a lot of maintenance and cleaning. The dinosaur gallery was good but everything was covered with dust and the dinosaur movements were so noisy because of the mechanical sounds. It was good but hopefully they will make it better next time we visit. The cafeteria was also very good, food was yummy and cheap.

National Science Musium : A special feature of the National Science Centre is its student visitors. While the world over, the ratio of student to general visitor ratio is about 0.3, almost 65% (a ratio of 1.8)of the visitors to the National Science Centre are students.

One of the most iconic places to visit if you are coming to Delhi. This is a paradise for science lovers as they can get tons of information through various working models and projects. It is also useful for non-science background people as they can also experience the amazing wonders of science. The entry fees per person are Rs 60. There are various other shows such as 3D movies, Hologram, science fiction movies, etc but on weekends the tickets of such get sold fast, and hence it is difficult to get tickets for such shows. When you will enter the building you would feel like you would have come to another place. There are various science instruments with proper detailed instructions both in Hindi and English. Various rooms are divided into physics, chemistry, and biology models and amazing pictures. There is also a prehistoric park where various replicas of ancient dinosaurs are kept. It's a bit dark though. Beautiful models of various ancient civilizations are also kept there. There needs to be done improvement in lighting. On the ground floor, there is a big canteen which sells almost every food ranging from chole nature, fries, sandwiches, burgers, tea, lassi, etc at a nominal price. Washrooms are there on every floor for the convenience of the general public. I recommend you to take in hand at least 3 to 4 hours to visit this place properly while watching all add-on shows. Outside the building, you will find various shops selling fast food, ice cream, keyrings, etc.

Great place to understand science practically. A must visit destination for kids. Everything about science is displayed here and there are many equipments which you can use to understand science by practical. Ancient Indian science is also explained here and by going through it you can understand how our science was developed when the don't have idea about many things and feel proud about ancient Indian science. Few educational shows are also available and fantasy ride is a good one. Overall this is a good place if visit for kids as well as all other group.

Nice place for kids up to 12 years of age. Needs improved maintenance though. Many of the installations do not work. The pre historic gallery and the fun museum are really good. However, a large gallery dedicated to Sardar Patel seems out of place in a Science Centre. Fantasy ride is expensive but good. You have to buy tickets for all the side activities at the entrance along with the entrance ticket. Online ticketing stands suspended, not sure for how long. There is a small eatery with very reasonably priced snacks. All the staff members were very polite and helpful, a very pleasant surprise in a Government facility.

The science museum is a blast, but let me tell you about the fantasy ride – it's like they bottled up pure imagination and turned it into a rollercoaster. From mythical creatures to futuristic landscapes, the ride takes you on a wild journey that sparks the kid in everyone. It's not just a ride; it's a ticket to a fantastical realm right in the heart of the museum. If you're into blending science with a touch of magic, this fantasy ride is an absolute highlight that'll leave you grinning like a kid on a candy spree.

It is fun to visit interactive activity section. But most of the part of science museum is old and all computers are old and not working properly. Many parts of science museum are closed due to renovation. Entry ticket is 60₹ per person. And no entry fee if the child is shorter than 1 meter.

National science center is an amazing and informative place. Specially for school children. It is a perfect place to hang out with children. It has lots of fun activities and games and parks at a very low cost. It gives amazing demonstration of beautiful science phenomena. There are a lot scientific fun games on the top floor. A beautiful Prehistoric park on the 2nd floor. There are other paid activities like the 4D ride, hologram show, 3d show, beautiful to watch and fascinating to learn. Best place to learn with fun experiences. Their 3D show is just worth the price. The science show is awesome with a cool moderator making the show interactive. Some show timings may clash but each minute spent here is worth every penny. Full of knowledge and practical experiments. Children will definitely love this place. And adults will get back to their school sciences classes but in a fun way. A must visit for everyone.

National Science Centre is good fun and learning centre. Here children and adults both can enjoy many activity and learning science concepts in daily life. There are mainly three ( historical/human body/general) science sections, in which activity and prototype based learning concept. There are some extra paid events are running those can be opted but totally are optional. If you are visiting weekends or any public holidays then you will feel crowded and waiting time will be more actives. On normal weekends it is fine and cool to visit. I think, one time visit is fine. There are all science prototypes are bit old, I think authorities need to think about to showcase some more latest science concepts. Few blocks are closed and not maintained properly, I think maintenance is required here. How to reach: There is no metro station at walking distance. You can reach by DTC bus or Auto or by private vehicles.

Science is not fear but fun here. Extremely well thought and interesting presentation. It's learning by doing . It's so interactive in nature, children takes a lot of interest doing each activity. But logic of most of the activities are not self explanatory , where parent's support is required. One day is not enough to cover each segment of the museum. Enjoyed my Sunday. Highly recommended.

It's good. But the place needs renovation and updates. I went there as a kid. I loved it back then. I visited the museum again maybe after 12 years. It was pretty much the same. A perfect place for kids who are also science enthusiasts . I also attended the 3-D show there. Not at all worth the time.

It's absolutely a great place to get your children along, this is place for of interactive knowledge for your kids and you. It has some of the fun activities to be performed with your kids, science centre can be explored with in 4hrs for all activities if no wait if there for the shows. Only thing is that the interactive machines are not maintained and doesn't work.

Complete family place.Enjoy your day with your little kids.It has enough to spend your half of day. Most amazing is science section. They conduct few shows also. Ticket are very nominal. Although shows are not exclusive but could be fun for kids. Overall you may plan to visit here once

Good for the kids as there are lots of things related to science and much more.. 1. Fantasy ride (good for kids) 2. Science show (information about space) Rest shows are useless 3. Limited car parking inside 4. Dinosaur 🦖 floor under maintenance 5. Restaurant inside the museum 6. Mostly machine are not working 7. Need atleast 4-5 hrs to complete this 8. Better to come early by 10:30 as less nos of visitors 9. The most important only 20% visitors wearing mask as no one there check 10. Try to visit weekdays as in the weekend it's crowded 11. Seven days open 12. if anyone going to see all the show will cost approximately 200 per person

Very nice place to visit with your family, kids friendly, but one thing that i don't like is that everytime i visit, there's something that's on maintainance, which ruins the whole experience. Otherwise i loved it.

One of the best places in NCR to visit along with your kids. It's not limited to science museum but also has old civilization museum & have showcased Indian Vedic science in an efficient manner. Every kid will feel proud on various discoveries which were made by our ancestors. Entry fee per person is Rs 60. Parking is also available within the premises, better to avoid Sundays to avoid rush. This place also has canteen on Ground Floor.

Had the visit for International Trade Fair. This was one the best place to see cultural art of each and every state and union territory. Not only art, but the state based food stalls were on another level. The International section was very nice too. I personally liked the stall from Tunisia where Olive wood cutlery was available. Every state and union territory stalls were vibrant and culturally appealing in their own way. Also got the chance to see Cultural show on behalf of West Bengal. It was peaceful. This fair has made me realise how amazing it would to travel across the country and experience the vivid cultures and traditions of our land.

This is good for kids. Avoid going there in weekend as it's crowded. Entry charge is 60₹, for other activities such as science show, 3d show you have to pay extra. For detailed information refer the photos which I have added.

There are many sections in the science centre. Some of them are prehistoric gallery, human gallery, arts gallery, fun science etc. Some of the sections aren't maintained well. I found the prehistoric gallery and mirror maze in the fun science gallery the most immersive and interesting. There is also a canteen for eating. The entry fees is reasonable. There are a few shows which were already booked.

Amazing and a must visit place for kids. These days when kids are just stuck up with the screens this place gives them the creative exposure of what real sciences is. It is important for kids to visit such kind of centers. This center is beautifully built with great space utilisation. Also it has varied programs and shows that justifies spending the entire day in the center. Children can very well experience concepts like magnetic field, gravity, solar energy, mirror image and many more.

Best place to visit for science enthusiasts. But, disappointed that I didn't find any kind of scientific things for computer development and things involved in it. Most of the things are based on historical developments and biological growth and many other things too. My favourite thing was that dinosaur era museum inside that center and just after that we got many scientific things to see. Altogether it was a great experience. You should visit this place too...

The National Science Centre established in 1992, is a science museum in Delhi, India. It is part of the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), an autonomous body under India's Ministry of Culture. It stands close to Gate no 1, of Pragati Maidan overlooking the Purana Qila. The National Science Centre is the northern zonal headquarters of the National Council of Science Museums. The first Science Museum under this Council, the Birla Industrial & Technological Museum came up on 2 May 1959 at Calcutta. Thereafter another Museum, the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum was opened in Bangalore in 1962. These Museums were inspired by the vision of Dr.Bidhan Chandra Roy, the first Chief Minister of West Bengal and was encouraged by pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, who always had a soft corner for scientific temper. Dr. Amalendu Bose, a young chemistry graduate at that time, was recruited by Dr.B.C.Roy to commission the first Museum at Calcutta. Thereafter several smaller centres came up, but for over two decades, there was a lull in the science museum movement in India.

National Science Centre (also known as Science Museum of Delhi) is one of the best place to visit. The structure has got all the facts and objects related to science. Some of the great things to see are like running water from tap in the air, invisible piano, mirror maze, fun science, 3D show, Science and sphere show, and lots more. This place offers a memorable day with enough things to know & learn.

A few halls are quite annoying but the place is worth visiting, good for curious kids. If you're planning to visit there, make sure to enter upto 3:30-4:00, else you'll regret ki kaafi kam time mila😅. Minimum 2hrs is the time to visit and if you're with children then it'll be 3 hrs minimum. you've to finish your food items before entering and submit your bags in cloak room😅 Very interesting place to go with friends also. I'd like to suggest that you should go there without taking any bus or rickshaw, the roadside is very beautiful and it's really fun walking this area as there's art and craft museum, purana quila etc nearby and the view is really good, you will remember the day forever.

Good place for every one to know about many science facts. They have very nice 3d movie shows. Very informative. One 7d ride was not good. It showed a prince on chariot. It could have been very exploratory like a spaceship in galaxy or something like that rather then showing some diseney movie. Though small kids enjoy that prince movie but not what expected. Rest a good place.

Thankfully the government didn't stop the budget for this place. It's a must visit for all kids, to understand the basics of science first hand. Recommend the Science of Sphere show. The sphere show is excellent. Although one is not allowed to videotape the show, they do let you take selfie at the end of the show. Additional to that, the Cafe there serves delicious food, all floors have toilets, there's parking within the premises, some exotic sea animals in the aquarium. In all its a complete weekend day package 🙂

Many new shows have been added. With new technologies. We attended holo show as we reached late we couldn't attend other shows. It's better to visit this place early so that you can enjoy all shows. Keep atleast 4hrs time for this visit. Otherwise you will miss some shows. Parking was full. There was no social distancing. Washrooms were clean. Sanitizers were placed at some dictance. National science centre is a good place to visit. But when I visited this place, many of the exhibits were not working properly. Also the food was below average quality and every item was comparatively costlier than its local market counterpart here. But overall, the trip was great. One can have a lot of fun visiting national science centre.

It is a very good learning opportunity for every person who want to know about our pasts and the technologies that will be our future.

The science centre seems old with 4 levels. You start from the top level and finish off at the basement. Best fun part for children is the moving dinosaurs part and the practical physical part where mirror maze and electromagnetic tricks are located. On one hand its beautifully made but on the other hand it is in dire need of renovation. The meuseum feels dirty, there are defunct parts and due to constant touching of displays and buttons by visitors they have stain marks. Some buttons don,t work. There is an escalator that does not work. They have parking space just behind the building. The entrance to parking is through the main gate of the building. There is a cafeteria also at the exit in basement. There is a toy shop near the cafeteria where one may buy interesting stationary and toys for children.

I recommend you to take in hand at least 3 to 4 hours to visit this place properly wh watching all add-on shows. Outside the building, you will find various shops selling fast food, ice cream, keyrings, etc.

Good enough place for kids to get entertained and learn simultaneously. You should you should have at least 4 to 5 hours to visit the centre properly. Metro station is a little far and bus timings are unpredictable so it's better to travel by cab, auto or personal vehicle.

I visit there last month with my Nephew fun with us and take knowledge of science. The environment interior is full of science around them, biology, chemistry and physics and all together. But entry fees are so costly for children's and air conditioner conditions are very it was very hot there.

It was my first visit of the National Science Centre in Delhi, and I must say that it was an incredible experience. The centre is a treasure trove of knowledge and a haven for science enthusiasts. From the moment I stepped inside the National Science Centre, I was greeted by a modern and inviting atmosphere. The architecture of the building is impressive, and it sets the stage for what awaits inside. The layout of the centre is well-designed, making it easy to navigate through the various sections and exhibits. The National Science Centre offers a wide array of interactive exhibits that cover a broad range of scientific topics. From physics and chemistry to biology and astronomy, there is something for everyone. The exhibits are not only informative but also engaging, with interactive elements that allow visitors to participate and learn through hands-on experiences. It was refreshing to see complex scientific concepts presented in a way that was accessible and exciting for visitors of all ages. One of the highlights of my visit was the planetarium show. The National Science Centre houses a top-notch planetarium with a cutting-edge projection system. The show was truly awe-inspiring, taking me on a journey through the vastness of the universe. The visuals were stunning, and the narration provided a wealth of information about celestial bodies and space exploration. It was an immersive experience that left me with a sense of wonder and a deeper appreciation for the cosmos. The centre also offers educational programs and workshops that cater to students and young learners. These programs are designed to nurture curiosity and inspire a love for science. They provide interactive demonstrations and engaging activities that make learning enjoyable and memorable. The National Science Centre's dedication to promoting scientific literacy among the younger generation is commendable. In terms of facilities, the National Science Centre is well-maintained and visitor-friendly. There are clean and accessible restrooms, as well as a cafeteria where visitors can grab a bite to eat. The staff members are knowledgeable, friendly, and readily available to answer any questions or provide assistance. While my overall experience at the National Science Centre was highly positive, it is worth mentioning that the centre can get quite crowded, especially during weekends and holidays. This may result in longer queues and limited time to fully explore certain exhibits. Therefore, it is advisable to plan the visit accordingly and arrive early to make the most of the experience. In conclusion, the National Science Centre in Delhi is a remarkable institution that offers an engaging and enlightening experience for science enthusiasts of all ages. With its interactive exhibits, planetarium shows, and educational programs, it successfully ignites curiosity and fosters a deeper understanding of the world of science. If you have a passion for science or simply want to explore the wonders of the universe, a visit to the National Science Centre is highly recommended.

Part of the Pragati Maidan experience, the National Science Centre is situated at the end of Bhairon Marg, well beyond the Crafts Museum. The ticket counter outside dispenses entry tickets (Rs 70 per person, though concessional rates are available for groups), as well as special tickets for different shows at the centre. Since there is no written information about what these shows are, or what their timings are, my eight-year old daughter and I decided to only take entry tickets and skip the shows. The Centre spreads out across three floors; you can proceed in a fairly logical path, which we did by going up to the first floor. Here, there’s a history of science and technology in India: astronomy, the human body, metallurgy, weaving, medicine, weaponry, architecture and other aspects of science in life shown through a series of dioramas, text, and so on. There are sections on development of science and technology in medieval and modern India too, and then there are other concepts from different fields of science: evolution and natural history (there’s a large, dark area ‘inhabited’ by rather badly ‘moving’ models of dinosaurs, which gives you a feel of what it might have been to inhabit the world alongside them); the human body and its many wonders; genetics (along with related fields like cloning, GM, etc); medicine; and a large, very popular section on fun with science—with concepts (mostly physics) being explained through highly interactive games, experiences, and so on.

A must visit for all children. The National Science Center is near the gate no. 1 and 4 of Pragati Maidan. Nearest Metro is the Supreme Court. We visited here on Saturday. It was a rainy day but the crowd was there as always. Entry Ticket is of Rs. 70/- per person and if you want to enjoy a Fantasy ride, Science show, Hologram show of the human body and the 3 D show of science , you have to pay extra. You can enjoy all the shows including entry fees at Rs. 245/- . The place is full of information and good scientific projects. It's a must visit for every child. Try to visit in the first half as you cannot see everything in one day. The cafeteria is here so you can enjoy snacks and tea etc. though the quality of food is poor here. The place is open all days in a week from 9.30 am to 6 pm.

I visited on Sunday. It's a little bit crowded but not that much. Other shows were fully booked but we spent almost 3-4 hours visiting various science models and activities. It's one of the best places for students as well as science seekers. The ticket price was 70. Kindly note that there is no AC inside the hall but you can find mini ac controllers near various science activities.

Knowledgeable destination for Kids up to age 12. If you are visiting such Science Centre with your kids somewhere else in Delhi it will be highly costly just because of such facilities provided by private bodies. You should come and enjoy at National Science Centre in Delhi with your kids at very reasonable tickets rate. Although private sectors providing some extra features but they don't have space like National Science Centre. Up to 4 floor and basement. Every floor is saying something about Science, Wild life, Political movements of India and our ancient culture. Parking facilities is also available there.

It is one of the most amazing museums I have ever been to. I mean it's great for students in their school days to actually see the science and social science topics in 3D. The presentation of every model is just outstanding.

It is close to Pragati Maidan Metro Station and is a very educational location. The centre is nicely thought out worth seeing, particularly for kids. The science centre is filled with exhibits and technology-related objects. You discover something unique and amazing as you enter the centre. In the science centre, there are many projects, 3D videos, historical topics, chemical reactions, and other things to learn. It is the busiest tourist destination in Delhi and draws more visitors. The most crucial aspect is that you may do real work in addition to learning it. The centre was divided into various sections, including fun science and others.

If you're at New Delhi, just consider visiting National Science Centre if you have spare time. It may have been talk of the town in the past but It's nothing special now as few of the displays/equipments doesn't work and it being a govt. property, nobody is bothered enough repairing the same. It has 4 floors and we went at afternoon. Not much of a rush here as we went on Weekdays. At least 4 hours are needed to check out the whole place. The canteen/cafeteria was good with decent service.
