DO NOT STAY HERE - it is in a very unsafe area in Delhi, I arrived very early in the morning because my flight got in at 3am and when I arrived with my driver, he wouldn’t let me get out of the car without finding the hostel first (thankfully he was very kind and wanted to make sure I was safe). It’s a hole in the wall and was difficult to find. Men were all over the streets leering at me. I am a single, female traveler and felt extremely unsafe in this area. When we finally found it, the first floor of the hostel only has one room that is completely trashed and disgusting, I got very nervous I wouldn’t even be able to stay here. Once finding the check-in on the second floor, I felt better knowing I would have somewhere to stay for the night at least, but was not excited it was here. The hostel itself was not well kept, the rooms smelled like mildew and my bed was itchy. I will say, the staff was very helpful but that was not enough for me to stay longer than one night. I packed my bag and left first thing in the morning. I would truly not recommend staying here under any circumstances, especially if you are a woman. The next morning, I heard a girl say she was robbed her first day here. I couldn’t wait to get out. The overall vibe of the hostile was unfriendly and dirty.

Overall stay was okiesh. Rooms were not cleaned properly. Beds were smelling foul. Overall crowed was good and did crazy parties. Overall hostel is not cleaned properly including sofa's and cushions. It has a good wifi connection. Toilets were having cigarette buds and joints. Shower taps were working but no pressure to water. Can consider this stay option if you're low on budget and solo travelers.

It is situated around 400m walking distance from Laxmi nagar metro station . First impression from outside doesn't excites you at all but when you enter inside, its a different story altogether. It is a well maintained property with clean washrooms, air conditioned dormitory with all basic amenities such as charging slots, reading lamp, blanket, curtains. Also they change their linen everyday . Also there is a common room ,kitchen and a terrace (where you can smoke or have a small get together) Also the staff is freindly and helpful Definitely recommended especially for a solo Traveller (also safe for girls)

When I first time came to India (8 years ago) I crashed in Joey's,the hostel was new, staff was amazing, location is perfect in my opinion. I came back to India around a month ago, and I came back to this hostel wich is a really good one for the atmosphere, location and staff, but I have to say that is really dirty, sheets are disgusting, stink, the matresses got old and are really uncomfortable, pillows..if u can call em pillows ..rooms and beds are really packed...too much I'd say, everything got old but it seems they don't care, hostel is allways full, and I think it lost the essence from the begginings, it used to be an oasis in the middle of Delhi, quiet, fresh, clean and runed by an amazing staff, still now 0 complains about the staff.. just please if u are making a lot of money with all the travelers, invest some of this money to keep this hostel in conditions, greed is allwsys bad..

It's a great option in Delhi for back packers. The staff was so friendly and the bed was comfortable. There is a separate female dormitory also available. Very close to Laxmi Nagar metro station. Very limited restaurant options nearby but you will get tasty street foods. There is no health faucet/ jet spray for the toilet shower !

The best place to stay at! If you are traveling to Delhi, do consider staying here. The host and the staff are very helpful and supportive. Ambiance is amazing. There's regular cleaning and hygiene is well maintained around the hostel.

A budget place to stay with mediocre facilities and service. Available are beds in dormitories ranging from 14-bed to 4-bed. I stayed in an 8-bed dormitory, which was clean but lacked any ventilation apart from the windows which remained closed due to winters. Two roommates were were free to talk loudly and in bad language. Bathroom provided a stinky smell. Hot water was available in taps, but there were no buckets to use for bathing. No facility of food. Staff was good-natured but not interested enough, available only on 1st floor of the 3 storey facility. You may find them busy in their game on TV as they try to reply to your query.

Why to stay Joey's? 1. Cheap stay 2. Good Connectivity 3. AC in common area as well 4. Lots of street foods downstairs Cons: Not much. No in-house restaurant, cleanliness and hygiene is average. Although Bathroom were clean and hot water was available instantly. Overall a good place.

Joey's hostel is the most inviting hostel I have ever visited. The staff here are outgoing and friendly. They go above and beyond to make your time in Delhi worthwhile by leading unconventional and personalized tours through the city's highlights. Due to this, they're able to foster community between travelers very quickly. I've been avoiding Delhi for some time now, but being at Joey's has helped me appreciate this city. Thank you Joey's!!!!

Was there for a day . . . Very arrogant lady staff, never prepared to help. I didn't get a safe place to keep my bag and the response that I got was, will sort in the morning! No one showed up till I checked out. Bathroom is all average but they are trying to keep it neat by cleaning it often, happy about that. Rooms are average, the bed side light switches need fixing. Happiness was that I was able to meet few people there . . .

For me it's the first hostel in Delhi with a proper backpacker vibe. Clean, comfy hostel with a decent common area and a small kitchen. Free water available. Staff is friendly and helpful. The metro station is only a 4 min stroll. Quite dorms with AC, lockers, female dorms and female bathroom available. I would stay there again. Just the area is boring, there's literally nothing to do.

Good social hostel with clean rooms. They do well with organising social events and it’s a good place to meet people, Kabir is great and makes the hostel! The place could with some love and attention hence not 5 star but a good stay.

It is on road, easy to locate. The place is amazing in terms of short stay, bunk beds are very cozy and clean (atleast the room in which I stayed is clean) bathrooms are shared but are clean. Talking about the price, it's very cheap and affordable.

I have stayed at a lot of hostels in Delhi. Joey's would be the perfect pick if you are a backapacker. This place would suit the vibe of a true traveller. The staff is helpful and they try to keep the place clean and tidy. Talking about the negatives (can compromise), the location. It's a little far off from everything. But overall, I would highly recommend this place.

I have visited Joey's in Delhi. This place is quite happening and affordable if you choose their dorms. You can use their induction to cook your own food. You can sit and watch TV or you can play games which they have stocked up at Joey's hostel. People are friendly. You'll get to make new friends. But the things which are disappointing is you have to arrange for your own food , no room service is available and cleanliness is not proper around the kitchen area.

I love staying here. It feels like home! Guys are so nice and they will help you with everything you need. Book tickets, etc. It's my second time here and I know where to stay everytime we come back to Delhi :)

Lively hostel I've ever stayed at. People were so friendly and easy to talk. Neat bunk beds, clean washrooms, lively gathering space were there. Best stay for group of friends where you can interact with different peoples. One thing that was most interesting about the hostel that attracts me is it's graffiti walls.. All walls except bedrooms are open to draw anything on it.. You can share your experience or any kind of memory over there. Plus point was there is no In-out timing restriction, you just have to know the main door password and then you can enter anytime in the hostel. Near to Laxmi nagar metro station, Delhi but nearby locality is not that much lively, quality of people downgrades there. Overall a good place to stay at.

This is a special place. It is laid back, extremely friendly, and a very soft place to land in Delhi, especially if you are new to India. The staff really care, make good recommendations to get your intro to the city, and run very relaxed tours as a complementary bonus. They are all amazing people. I would highly recommend Joey’s to backpackers looking to meet both locals and travellers from India and everywhere else. What not to expect: This is a hostel, not a hotel. Although it is clean for a hostel, it is a bit rough around the edges, but like, it is a hostel people! The complainers in these reviews need to get a reality check. The staff is not there to serve you like hotel concierges. They are there to facilitate, and also take part in the life of the hostel. If you are a demanding person or looking for 3 star hotel level cleanliness, you may not enjoy yourself. Be polite and friendly and you will receive much more than that in return.

It's very near to the Laxmi Nagar Metro station. This place is very welcoming and cool to stay at. The rooms are good., although i wish the bathrooms are a bit better. They are not bad by any means. But considering the Cost of stay It's not a big deal. Would visit again. Review as of 01 March 2023

Not so much good. Its too hot but ac is not working in day time on third floor. Never ever select this hostel if you are getting room on third floor. Its like Indian railway sleeper class without AC even in May-june hot weather. Staff behaviour is just okay okay.. only first and second floor is good to stay in this hostel.

Located just a few minutes walking distance away from Lakshmi Nagar metro station, Joey’s is an ideal place for a backpacker wanting to explore the roots of Delhi, or just wants to go anywhere around the country. The front desk will help you with everything starting from exchanging currency to booking the best travel for you in India. The hostel is clean, well maintained and is pouring with tourists everyday.

Positive: - The hostel has so many guests and is so communicative! You meet a lot of great people there from India and all around the world. Also helps you visit town and other places

Nice chilling area to meet fellow travellers, its very social and they organise something everyday to gather everyone together. First floor dorms and rooms are clean and kinda quiet. First floor toilets are very clean i was surprised. There is usually always someone around even at night time. First floor Vs Other floor differences when it comes to room and toilet standards. Breakie a bit expensive for that price. Improve or remove... A bit far out from main attractions

Joey's hostel was perfect for a solo traveler or just a budget accommodation. It was very clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful they helped me to book my train tickets to Agra to see the Taj Mahal. They helped me with a bunch of little things. I recommend saying here!

There was no lift. just in front of the hostel it's very muddy. When there is rain it's like flood in front of the hostel . Shoes become dirty. You have to take a boat. Could improve the infrastructure Infront to make it more convenient and more easily accessible for tourist and looks nice as well

CONS: I'm sorry, I was taken aback with the location. As a solo female I wasn't comfortable as men would glare at you and walk close to you, in such a narrow crowded lane. A Bazaar kinda location. Toilet flush didn't work twice . Had to call someone. Bed bugs I suppose since I got skin allergy and bites upon waking up in the morning . Bathroom is non attached. Bed price should have been lesser considering this. Rs 900 for a dorm bed in 6 guests sharing, with no bathroom attached and no breakfast offered ( as claimed) . Shower wasn't working at one time, then again it worked. Maintenence needed. Very cold AC, that got me having fever and cold, cough next day. I couldn't find the remote to control the temperature. No table chair to sit or work inside room. No curtain in dorm beds for privacy. Bed mattress was not comfortable, neither the pillow. It was uneven. Common kitchen barely had any cutleries for eating or serving food. I saw just 1 green plate and 1 spoon 1 fork. And few cups, glasses. Extreme shortage. Dining table too had only 1 chair. How are 3-5 people to sit eat together? Would've been great if only female helper staff be appointed to cater to female dormitory, whether coming inside the rooms or cleaning. Less washroom, more are needed considering the occupancy numbers. The curtain in female dormitory upstairs is all fallen and open. Check in time can be flexible and improved. PROS: The staff Suheil is a sweet guy, helpful and smart. Knows his job well. Cleaning staff is putting efforts in keeping the place clean. I noticed it. I met nice people in this hostel. Staffs are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Kitchen is useful But a suggestion, to please see that all guests be treated equally, irrespective of nationality or color. There is still alot of scope for improvement, no doubt, All the Best!!!!

I had a fantastic stay at Joey's Hostel in New Delhi! The vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff, and clean accommodations made my experience truly enjoyable. The common areas were lively, fostering a sense of community among guests. The location is convenient, allowing easy exploration of the city. I highly recommend Joey's Hostel for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay especially if you've never been to New Delhi.

It is a nice hostel. Personal was so helpful in every aspect. Rooms were nice, I liked having curtains in my bed. Pillows could be better though. Other guests were really good people. It was clean in general, kitchen could be cleaner, but that was more a responsibility of the guests. The main thing I didn’t enjoy was the lack of hot water, I got really hot water the first night, then just “not too cold” water.

This place is by far the coolest place I've lived in. I've been in hostels before, but this was so lively, the people, the staffs everyone are so active and so engaging. They sit together with us, eat together and play together. Definitely gonna be there again and will be there and stay there every time I visit Delhi ❤️ thanks a lot Joey's Hostel 🔥

Air Conditioned - Dorms & Single rooms - Shared restroom in the common area for the dorms. If you are looking for Cheap hostel, you are at right choice. They charge 300/night in Delhi, but remember everything will come with a cost. You need to compromise on the hygiene. I booked dorm for a night, later after seeing the bad smell in the common area and very bad restroom. I took the single room at 1000/night. Location has good connectivity, lot of food options, Hostel is in main road and very supportive front desk. Because of the maintenance and hygiene, I don't recommend.

First time at a place like this. The aura was vibrant and energetic. A lot of things to get involved in. Books📚, indoor board games🎲, rooftop decoration🎊, barbeque🍴....name it and you'll find most of them. It was in middle of one of the largest market in East Delhi, Laxmi Nagar. From Street Food to Fine dine restaurant, Electronics, Shopping malls🛍️, etc. The people here are friendly, however one suggestion is that refrain from getting a room at Second Floor. The kitchen is on the floor due to which weird smell surround the hall which is intolerable sometimes. Rest it was a perfect place wrt charges🌻

The boys are really making an afford to make your stay worth it. Some parties, take you out for sightseeing, restaurants etc. Beds are fine for the price. Maybe they could improve the place with a ventilation in the bathroom that goes out of the building and not in the chilling area

Great place! Hospitality is also great. If you plan to come to delhi then this is a perfect place to stay be it solo or with friends. The dorm is very neat and tidy. Service is also amazing. This place is near to laxmi nagar metro station which is really accessible.

Amazing hosts, perfect location which is in city center, community kitchen, air conditioned rooms; perfect stay for travellers… However little bit of maintenance is required for washrooms and common area ventilation.

One of the best hostels to stay in Delhi.. pocket friendly.. the bed was comfortable and had curtains. All staff is good and helpful.. Washrooms were clean. Lots of street food options available nearby. It's just 5 mins walk from Laxminagar metro station which is very well connected to other parts of Delhi.

Location is super close to metro station. A lot of places to get street food. Employees are super nice, helpfull and try to make your experience in Delhi better. They organize daily activities and it is an easy hub to meet a lot of other traveller's. Definitely would stay again.

Joey's Hostel is one of the best hostel chains right now in the Hostel business. They care about their customers and look after them. Kudos to their staff and the service they provide. My experience was marvelous. I had initially booked a 6-bed dorm but due to some fault in their system they had to give me a 12 bed dorm for the first day. Right now you would be thinking why would I give them such high praises, but the real service starts after that. They apologised for the technical glitch and upgraded me in a 4- bed dorm for my remaining stay. The fact that they helped me and coordinated with me at every point shows how much they value their customers. It was a comfortable stay, the environment is always chill and comfy and above than that generally washrooms and toilets are dirty but not in case of Joey's. They also provide breakfast and snacks for people who have cravings at night. Loved the hostel and stay, looking forward to visit again P.s. I stayed in Joey's Hostel, Delhi

Can definitely recommend. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Daily tours are 10/10 for seeing Delhi, and meeting the other guests. Room AC, fans, and curtains all great, as well as common room, terrace and bathrooms. An very easy to reach by metro from the airport no problem. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Delhi!

  • 4/5 Nimi S. 1 year ago on Google
The stay was convinient but the location was a little bit hideous(from a girl's point of view) . The rooms and washrooms were neat and tidy. The house keeping services could have been better. The metro station near the hostel makes your travel easy peasy. Over all it was a good and comfortable stay. Will recommend it for sure.
