Phase 2 of the Yamuna Biodiversity Park, in Wazirabad, spreads over 457 acres. Of this, 197 acres are open to visitors. While no entry fee is charged, you are not allowed to go around on your own – you must be accompanied by a staff member of the park. We did not know about this, so arrived at the park at 11:30 and were informed of this, but after a phone call, a staff member came and took us around on a nature walk of 45 minutes. This land was reclaimed and then planted with vegetation, so it’s a mix of various fruit trees, grasslands, acacia, and so on. There are several greenhouses; a kitchen garden to demonstrate agriculture; a fruit plantation zone (the fruit is mainly to attract birds), and an acacia woodland, besides various herb beds and other interesting trees and plants. There are wetlands, which host various water birds as well as migratory birds during the winter. We were told that the park has several mammals too, including neelgai, deer, and wild boar, but all we saw was one mongoose! Overall, a satisfying if hurried exploration of nature. I would have liked it to be longer and more leisurely.

Yamuna Biodiversity Park very beautiful place, It's a very beautiful, This Biodiversity park was established in year 2002 by DDA. The front portion of the Yamuna Biodiversity Park, a 220m southward and 140m northward stretch from the main entry gate with 20-30m width is demarcated as Domesticated Biodiversity Zone. Enclosed by a hedge of poplar, it features plants like Ailanthus, Butea and Bauhinia that have a continuous seasonal interest due to their long flower production throughout the season. The outer iron fencing is embraced by multi-coloured climbers like Jasmine and Quisqualis with the same theme of continual luxury...!!!😍👌👍

There is lots confusion on entry to this park and then how to travel inside ie Whether one can travel with car, bike, cycle etc and these Information is missing everywhere. The majority of the biodiversity area has been found to be encroached. Lots of construction, habitations are seen going on. There is neither private or public or govt website which is giving any cldetailed information. While self tried to visit first time with self driven car, it landed in an slum areas. While next time, decided to reach using uber driver, it landed in a bus stand. Probably the authority need to check what is really happening around.

A unique project of ecosystem on DDA land funded by DDA and managed by DU scientists. The barren/khadar land is developed into a forest with lots of native species. Also providing training on environmental related issues to various government officers and students of various schools without any cost.

Yamuna biodiversity park is situated near Wazirabad in north delhi at the flood bank of Yamuna river. The biodiversity has been planned in two part first one for special flora and fauna and second one for flooded land. The biodiversity has been developed for the serving as pollution free Delhi and natural place for different kind of birds and plants. When enter, we found a notice declaration & a guide and from there journey begins. I have seen a old big tree and the welcome board. There's a big rock and sand stone which have been described as 600 year old. One of the good museum is also there where you can look picture of animals birds plants other species. Here a pic theme is showing you the importance of nature in our life. You can find the pictures themes of the journey of the biodiversity development through the years. One projecter showing extinct species and animals. A aquarium showing the water life of fishes. You can look some old images and things which are saved and showing here from ancient times. After you will go for green house gases , you can look here some rare kind of plants and suddenly I look at a peocock what a beauty she is! There also flood pond which is full of birds playing on the water and fishing in group. They are just awesome they are different in colour many are brown and some are white too. After we went to planted land which are specially developed for the development of forest and it's on going. Now there a notice board making us conscious about leapard and after we came back to the gate through some wet planted land. So this biodiversity is completely developed for saving the extinct species and developing the eroded land into the green one. You can go with your family and friends to this natural journey which introduce you to real nature.

Location is bit through congested roads but the park is worth visiting. Total green area inbetween of the concrete jungle of Delhi. Has variety of plants species. You can sight peacock, neelgai and other migratory birds. You have to take permission to visit Phase-1 but Phase-2 is open for public. Dont forget to wear shoes and cap while entering.

It is one of the characteristics of tropical forest, spread over 457 acres in the upstream of the River Yamuna, the Yamuna biodiversity park (YBP) is a nature reserve. The major action of the park is to conserve medicinal plants, butterflies and fruit plants besides grasses. There are different reptiles, birds and animals available.

Very well maintained park! The park runs as a collab netween Delhi univesity and DDA with the technical expertise of the former and funding of the latter. They have designed the park in a very technically sound manner. You will spot a variety of flora and fauna here. Must visit. Nearest metro station would be GTB.

It's being in a Village inside a City. There's an unique "Air of Freedom" traversing the banks of Yamuna. You can see various different flora & fauna both local and some stranger birds & animals which appear now and then. And then there is the Fish of Yamuna. Of every length and size, shape and colour. The best thing is, that you will find Time just flying away. Great place for relaxation.

If you want to know about nature and its restoration by renowned scientists, you should visit Yamuna Biodiversity Park. This place was once a degraded land but now it has changed, thanks to the efforts of scholars, scientists, and experienced gardeners who made it look like heaven.

A place must to visit for all who love nature. Lungs booster of the capital. Having vast species of plants from around the world. A peaceful and relaxing place. It's a Wetland in actual but turned down into biodiversity park. Remarkable work by prominent people and that can only be understandable through visit to the park. Migratory birds are the center of attraction over the lake. Different species of birds, butterflies can be seen easily at Yamuna-biodiversity-park. A guide(free of cost) also facilitates to the visitors, so that anyone who visits can understand the nature very well. Wonderful learning experience.

This place is a wetland area and one of the very few in Delhi. It is a conserved area but the humans do not interfere here in the natural Biodiversity. One can spot various species of flora and fauna. In a polluted city like Delhi this area is a blessing. The team that maintains this park is learned and very professional with a warm welcoming style.

Herbal garden, in essence, is a reference collection of around 450 living species that have been important in human culture throughout the ages. This garden is a green oasis with a diversity of medicinal plants. In between more than 200 seasonal changing beds and borders are trees with medicinal properties that provide shade to delicate plants.

Silent with greenery and provide peace of mind. Basically the location of this park is surrounded with residential colonies like Village Wazirabad, Sangam Vihar and Jharoda. Even the location is easy to access and the driving here is also much convenient. As there are lots of species of reptiles, mammals and water fishes. Really a place everyone loves to be.

Heights of unaccountability. Very recently visited the place with my family and after more than an hour of travel, found the park closed. The calls were cut (despite it ringing) on the number provided for enquiry, which we rang up before leaving the house. With no notice and information, better not to visit if coming from far, esp since public transport is tricky here.

Timing 11:30-12:00 and 3:30 to 04:00 This place is awesome specially considering it's absolutely free and they also provide a guide for the group. Everything from walk to the scenery was a good experience. The place is pretty huge about 357 acres but they only let you in for an hour, because having a guide is compulsory and they can't let only one group have it for the day. So you can only visit only one section at a time. Make sure to wear shoes, it's a must because it is a biodiversity park and there will be many dangerous animals, insects and snakes. If you have it then you are good to go.

It is free. If you want to go for exposure in city like delhi then you can head up to this.this place give you simplicity and village look. It worth to go, especially for childrens. There are no animals except pets and some 🐦 🕊️ eagle, duck, or vulture in pond. You will not regret if you are fond of nature.🏞️

Nice place to visit.. why waste your precious life sitting in your closet just move out to see the rising and the setting of the sun. What is more precious than to have that beautiful view in a city like Delhi, nothing is comparable.

I think it's the only place to be called park around the Burari region, since i could not find even a small park in my locality in Burari. But it shows it's impact on nearby region, I can listen to distinct and lovely sounds of birds chirruping in the morning, and it makes our day. In my views this park have more importance than coronation park in this region, since it helps thousands of lives, whereas coronation park only have historical importance and not even much greenery such as tree or varieties of flora and fauna.

****Very important... Only 2 batches are allowed to enter in the park in throughout the day 1st leave at 11AM. 2nd Batch leaves at 3:00 PM. Except these timing no entry is allowed in the park. Couldn't visit the park due to time constraints but based on friends feedback it's really good to go place. Updated the time of the park.

Yamuna biodiversity park, located on Yamuna river front is a 9770 hectares biodiversity area in Delhi, India. It is developed by Delhi Development Authority (DDA) with the technical help of Centre for Environmental Management of Degraded Ecosystems (CEMDE), University of Delhi. It serves as an ideal alternative habitat for migratory and resident bird species. It also is designed to conserve the wild genetic resources of agricultural crops and enhance groundwater recharge and augment freshwater availability. Delhi has 7554 hectares of fragmented forests which are deprived of wild animals due to unplanned urbanisation, and of the 400 wetlands, fewer than 3 or 4 were left. In 2015, Delhi already had Aravalli Biodiversity Park and Yamuna biodiversity park. Delhi Development Authority (DDA) engaged the scientist of Delhi University to develop four more biodiversity parks in Delhi, including the Northern ridge biodiversity park (Kamla Nehru Ridge), Tilpath Valley Biodiversity Park, Neela Hauz biodiversity park and phase-2 of the Yamuna Biodiversity Park. Phase-I of Yamuna biodiversity park focused on barren floodplains commenced in 2005 and phase-2 focused on the active floodplains commenced in 2015

If you're a nature lover then this is a wonderful place with beautiful trees, grasses and birds all around. It's a restored site by a group of scientists from DU and DDA personnel and gives much hope in time when we only see nature destruction.

Best bikes and cars at reasonable prices, vehicles are well maintained and great response to the customer. We received our vehicle within 30 minutes as he said at our doorstep (homestays). We took fascino for 4 days to roam in and around north goa and to roam around south goa we took swift manual from him. Received it in neat and clean condition... This made our stay hassle-free

The Yamuna biodiversity park is a great attraction to see in wazirabad. This area is constructed under the flood area of Yamuna. The complete area has a PH of around 8-9 which is not suitable for plants. they have done landscaping and it has birds coming from different countries. There is so many birds, animals and a peaceful nature 🥰🥰🥰❤️
