New Delhi Kalibari the center for Bengali culture in New Delhi, one of the oldest Maa Kali temple in Delhi-NCR. One acre land of Goddess Kali with a Pratima resembling the one at Kalighat Kali Temple in Kolkata. The mandir committee was formalized in 1935 with Subhas Chandra Bose as the first president, and the first mandir building was inaugurated by Sir Manmatha Nath Mukherjee. Location wise Kalibadi temple placed in heart of Delhi, very much close to Cannought place and next to Laxmi Narayan Temple. It`s pretty old built-in 1930. The best things you like Murti of Kali Maa, so mesmerizing. Just go there, fold your hands, and look into the Kali Maa Idol and you somehow feel the divine presence. This place is a must-visit place during Durgo Pujo`s time. The place is quiet and serene and a visit to the Kali Bari evokes a sort of mental peace. The Kali puja (Bengali`s worship maa kali in Diwali which is known as Kali puja) here is held in the traditional style and the puja rituals have remained unchanged. For constructing the puja pandal, artisans and decorators are brought from Kolkata. The New Delhi Kali Bari is easily accessible by Metro, buses, taxis, electric rickshaws.

Beautiful temple when we visited Delhi, Kali bari was in our to go list. Its a big temple it also has lodging facility, I think to stay there you have to do prior reservations. Beside temple there is a stage and open area where every year Durga puja is held. It is the oldest Kali Bari in Delhi. Temple was very peaceful and welcoming.

New Delhi Kalibari is an iconic place specially for the Bengali Community. For many it was a place to stay when visiting Delhi and adjoining areas from West Bengal. While from an accommodation point of view it is well past it's peak days, however it still remains a go to destination during festivals such as Durga and Kali puja. The premise has a huge verandah but the space from where one gets a clear view of the deity is small. It's a peaceful place to visit and offer prayer to goddess Kali and Mahadev. At a walking distance is Birla Mandir and a small but beautiful Buddha temple. I hope someday the accommodation part of Kalibari is able to get back to its glorious days.

Very good arrangements are made here during Durga puja! Parking is available at the park behind which is maintained by the temple trust. The temple premises are well maintained and a good place to visit and pray to Durga mata.

A place of worship and heritage for Bengalis in Delhi n also for those who come from outside and are worshippers of Maa Kali. Peaceful ambience. Parking can be an issue. Avoid during festivals as it on the road and gets very crowded

I have visited the temple during Navratri Durga puja.. I feel so blessed to visit the temple during this time. The pandal was so beautiful.. Couldn't take my eyes off from Durga Maa Pratima❤️. There were many food stalls outside the temple.Nearest metro station to reach is Patel chowk..you can take direct auto to the temple.

Established in 1930, it is one of the most pristine temples of Ma Maha Kali Bhagwati. It is a Bengali temple and the shrine is similar to the one at Kalighat, Kolkata. I am not a Bengali, I still visit the temple every week. I find solace with Maa. It offers food Prasad on Saturdays. And also there is a fair with cultural programmes during Durga Puja. Do visit and if Ma will want, you will visit it everytime. Jai Ma Bhagwati 🙏🏻

Very crowded during Durga Puja. The lines and queues are very long... And then one doesn't get time in front of the deity. Everyone is being rushed and rudely. Wasn't allowed to have a darshan of Maa Kali, was told its closed when clearly it was open. Not an inviting attitude.

Not yet open to devotees. You can hand over your puja offerings to the kalibari staff at the gate and wait there. The staff will get the puja done by pujari and give it back to you at the gate.

The architecture and the vibe is good and serene however it's the poor management that spoils the overall experience. Be it during the festivals or in case of lodging, it's best to have an "acquaintance" if you wish to have a "decent" experience.

I had received a very good review for stay at kali bari gol market guest house. So I booked a room for my guest there. But my guest had the most bad experience there. No cleaning done within 3days stay. I knew breakfast was included but actually no breakfast included. Secondly they literally threw my guest out after 3 days. Early in the morning they started banging the door.Though I had a booking for 5 to 6 days. The manager is most ill mannered person . During the stay my guest didn't see him there once. Even the booking was done through phone while I was standing there. I had booked for 5 days after 3 days he was saying that they have a booking we have allowed you for 3 days can't allow after that. What's does it mean "allowed " they didn't give it for free . 1300/-per day I paid. The guest had come from outside. It's a very bad impression he recieved about delhi and my Company. Very disappointing!!

Kali Bari is an oasis of Bengali culture and spirituality in the heart of Delhi. Every time I had visited, came back with a better frame of mind and a positive emotion. The management and priests are down to earth and friendly. On special occasions, prasads are distributed. Lodging facilities are available too, but have not personally availed them, so can't speak about them.
