This park is named so - Kisan Ghat, owing to the man being a legendary leader of the farmers and more so in the remembrance of the spirit. Kisan Ghat is the memorial of Chaudhary Charan Singh, a renowned farmer leader. Kisan means farmer. It is located just adjacent to Raj Ghat between the banks of Yamuna River and Mahatma Gandhi Road, also known as main Ring Road Kisan Ghat has a simple design. This is probably to denote the humble origins of the farmer leader. The memorial structure is square in shape and built in marble on a raised platform. It features a glossy finish. The memorial is covered with thick shrubs of different kinds from all sides. During the right season, blooms of various colors appear. There is an open space of about 19 acres around the memorial. Big, shady trees nearby keep the area cool and pleasant even during hot months. Although he was part of the cabinet as Prime Minister for a short span of 6 years, yet he was remembered and constantly revered for his efforts to uplift the farmer community of workers in the Indian economy at large. The park is surrounded by tall trees and new saplings are planted by visiting dignitaries and heads of state, as an ode to the famous farmer’s leader. Because it is in corner of rajghat. There is a lake behind it very big park. And good area for couples.

Delhi Delhi, India’s capital territory, is a massive metropolitan area in the country’s north. In Old Delhi, a neighborhood dating to the 1600s, stands the imposing Mughal-era Red Fort, a symbol of India, and the sprawling Jama Masjid mosque, whose courtyard accommodates 25,000 people. Nearby is Chandni Chowk, a vibrant bazaar filled with food carts, sweets shops and spice stalls.

I would prefer if Google maps would call the place Raj Ghat. The campus also houses memorials of others who in my opinion did not contribute as much as the one man did for every Indian who was born in this soil and who will be born years to come. I am glad to note that the place is maintained well. The place offers a clean and peaceful environment to cleanse our souls.

    (Translated by Google) Chaudhary Charan Singh became Prime Minister after the fall of Morarji Desai's government of Janata Party with the support of Indira Gandhi in 1979, but resigned before the trust vote in the House. After the death of Chaudhary Saheb, who is called the Messiah of the farmers, his tomb is called Kisan Ghat.

The literal meaning of Kisan Ghat is "Farmer's Court". Kisaan Ghat is the Memorial of Chaudhary Charan Singh, was the sixth Prime Minister of India. He was born on 23rd December 1902 and died on 29th May 1987. He was appointed as a prime minister of India for a very short period in 1979. The area of Kisan Ghat has a beautiful park sorrunded with trees planted by visiting dignitaries and heads of state. It is open on all days and entry is free.

Kisan Ghat in Delhi is a simple and poignant memorial dedicated to India's farmers. It's a place where you can pay your respects to the hardworking individuals who contribute to the nation's food security. The location along the Yamuna River adds a serene touch, and the greenery is refreshing in the heart of the city. While it may not have the grandeur of some other monuments, its significance in recognizing the agricultural backbone of India makes it a meaningful visit. Plus, it's usually not too crowded, offering a peaceful atmosphere for reflection.

Kisan Ghat, also known as Kisan Ghat Memorial, is a memorial dedicated to farmers located in Delhi, India. It serves as a tribute to India's farmers and their contributions to the nation's agriculture and economy. The memorial is dedicated to Chaudhary Charan Singh, the former Prime Minister of India, who was a prominent leader and advocate for farmers' rights. Kisan Ghat is the final resting place of Chaudhary Charan Singh, and it is situated near Raj Ghat, the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. The memorial features a simple black marble platform with an epitaph honoring Chaudhary Charan Singh's commitment to the welfare of farmers. Kisan Ghat holds significance as a place of remembrance for the agricultural community and as a reminder of the importance of farming in India's society and economy.

Beautiful place. Big green area with clean air. Yamuna river is close to it. Chaudhary charan singh samadhi is situated here. This place is named as kishan ghat to pay tribute to Chaudhary charan singh as he has fought for the rights of kishan. Now kishan organises dharanas and rallies to raise their demands. Rajghat is situated very close to it where samadhi of mahatma gandhi is situated. Delhi tour organiser do include rajghat in their tour. Metro is not near here but bus services and cabs and auto are easily available.

It is a black marble platform that marks the spot of Mahatma Gandhi's cremation, Antyeshti (Antim Sanskar) on 30 January 1948, a day after his assassination. It is left open to the sky while an eternal flameburns perpetually at one end. It is located on the banks of the river Yamuna in Delhi in India on Ring Road officially known as Mahatma Gandhi Road. A stone footpath flanked by lawns leads to the walled enclosure that houses the memorial. All guests must remove their footwear before entering the Raj Ghat walls. Other memorials in the Raj Ghat areaEdit Raj Ghat loosely translates to King's Bank(where King alludes to the importance of the place and Bank as in -on the bank of river Yamuna). Several other samādhis or cremation spots of other famous leaders can be found in the vicinity of Raj Ghat on the banks of the Yamuna. The landscaping and planting of these memorials was performed by Alick Percy-Lancaster, the last Englishman to hold the post of Superintendent of Horticultural Operations, Government of India. Jawaharlal Nehru's samadhi is to the north of the Raj Ghat and is known as the Shantivan or Shanti Vana meaning the "forest of peace". Adjacent to Nehru's memorial is Ekta sthal, the site where K. R. Narayanan, tenth President of India, was cremated with full state honours in 2005. The Raj Ghat area has a park adorned with trees planted by visiting dignitaries and heads of state.
