Hi !!! Anyone wants to have the taste of purely Bengali food ? Please don't think twice but to pay a visit to this lovely cafe at Gurgaon called "The Bong Affair". I tasted Peas Kachuri with Aloo Dum, Roti with Chicken Bharta and Rosogolla.... All are simply awesome. They reminded me of our para sweet shop who have this kind of soft delicious rosogollas. Quantity of Chicken Bharta was very good too, easily 2 people can have it. Ambience wise it's very cosy cozy type with Bengali music at background. I found Bengali Panjeekas, Bengali Ghee and Bengali Chanachur packs in their rack too. Location is also very fine as there are plenty of parking space in front of the mall. Do, visit this cafe.... It's own by a Bengali guy also.... Good going....

Title: A Culinary Journey to Bengal's Heart - 5 Stars for The Bong Affair, Gurgaon! If you're a Bengali or simply someone who appreciates the exquisite flavors of Bengal, then The Bong Affair in Gurgaon is a culinary haven you must not miss! I recently had the pleasure of dining at this delightful gem, and I can't stop raving about the authentic, mouthwatering Bengali dishes that graced my taste buds. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment you step inside The Bong Affair, you're transported to a slice of Bengal. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a touch of rustic charm that sets the perfect mood for the feast that awaits you. But let's get to the real star of the show – the food. I couldn't resist starting with the Kolkata Chicken Biryani, and oh boy, what a treat it was! The fragrant, long-grain rice, the succulent pieces of chicken, and the perfect balance of spices made it an absolute winner. It's a taste of Kolkata's streets right here in Gurgaon. Next up, the Doi Chicken was an explosion of flavors in my mouth. The tender chicken pieces soaked in a luscious yogurt-based gravy were simply divine. Pair it with some steamed rice, and you're in heaven. The Jhiri Aloo Bhaja and Sorshe Bhekti were no less impressive. The aloo bhaja was perfectly crispy, and the sorshe bhekti had that classic Bengali mustard kick that I adore. The freshness of the ingredients truly shone through in every bite. For seafood lovers, the Fried Fish was a highlight. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned to perfection – it's a must-try. And speaking of must-tries, don't leave without savoring their Potato Chops and Chicken Cutlets. These snacks are quintessential Bengali street food, and The Bong Affair nails them. What sets The Bong Affair apart is the authenticity of their flavors. Every dish tastes like it was prepared by a loving Bengali grandma in a cozy kitchen. The attention to detail in recreating these traditional recipes is truly commendable. To all my fellow Bengalis in the Delhi NCR area, I implore you to either visit The Bong Affair in Gurgaon or order online for a gastronomic journey to the heart of Bengal. Whether you're craving the comfort of home-cooked Bengali dishes or looking to explore the rich culinary heritage of Bengal, this place has it all. In summary, The Bong Affair in Gurgaon has earned its place as my go-to destination for authentic Bengali cuisine in the Delhi NCR region. With a diverse menu, impeccable flavors, and a warm ambiance, it's a culinary experience that you'll cherish. My taste buds have been forever spoiled, and I can't wait to return for another delectable meal at this hidden gem! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Smelly and poor quality. Nowhere close to authentic Bengali food. Please don’t order for the sake of your own health.

I ordered through Zomato. Shukto tasted okay, but was full of only brinjal pieces, hardly 1 or 2 pieces of karela and aloo, no other veggies the way we have shukto in Bengal. Second thing I ordered was Radha Ballavi, was disastrous. Size of Radha Ballavi was smaller than a normal loochi that we have at home. I don't know fo their "dine in" quality is good, but delivery quality quantity was not at par to the price and not at all nearnyo what we Bengalis have.

We had ordered gondhoraj Chicken fry, 3 nabami special thali and 1 Kolkata special matka biriyani. Chicken kosha thali and Kolkata biriyani were good in taste. 1 star less because egg was not provided in Kolkata biriyani and no flavour of gandhiraj in gondhoraj chicken fry. Ambience was not so good.

Food is good- could've been little more spicy as we Bengali like little more jhaal-Jhaal, quantity is also up to the mark, but sitting is an issue. Less space for a group.

Had diamond fish fry and taaler bora today. Fish fry was okayish but taaler bora was bad, little flavour of taal with no sweetness. Not worth going back again considering the price they charge

We had mutton biriyani at this restaurant yesterday and it was really good. Service portion, taste both are great. It was authentic bengali biriyani taste we found.
