The waterfall flows under a bridge. It's absolutely free to visit. You need to park you car slightly before or after the bridge. You can take the stairs and go to higher levels of the waterfall. There are shops where you can change and rent swimming trunks to take a dip in the waterfall. One such shop is absolutely free. There are also a few local food shops as well. Overall it's a good tourist attraction.

What else is there left about waterfalls? Spend an amazing time here with a bunch of waterfalls, in total of combination of seven waterfalls. You have to hike a little bit on top for more amazing views and waterfalls. The best place ever to enjoy with your friends and family. Would not suggest to bring young kids as this is waterfall is one mountains. A reminder, don't forget to bring your trash with yourself, please be gentle with nature.

What a beautiful water fall. I saw a waterfall for the first time in my life and it was so beautiful. The water was too cold to handle. I even went into the water and got shower under the water falling down. It was so beautiful. If you don't have extra pair of cloth that's fine you can rent it easily from the waterfall location. There are many cloth vendors.

Kempty Falls is one the most popular tourist attraction and picnic spot in Mussoorie. Surrounded by high mountain cliffs. The pond formed at the bottom of the falls makes an excellent spot for swimming and bathing.Offering a stunning view of water stream cascading down from a great height, it divides into two main falls. Quite famous among the tourists as a picnic spot, the perennial Kempty waterfall is crowded almost throughout the year.

It was drizzling when we went... Place is mesmerizing! Kids really enjoyed not so harsh flow of water. Walk over bridge is under construction. Rope car ride is short but kids had fun. Nice place to visit.

A natural scenic waterfall which attracts the tourists. The name of Kempty Falls is taken from the terms "camp and tea" implying the elaborate tea parties that were once organized here in evenings eventually leading to a localized name Kempty. It was developed as a picnic destination by John Mekinan owing to its captivating surroundings and scenic beauty. Offering a stunning view of water stream cascading down from a great height, it divides into two main falls. Quite famous among the tourists as a picnic spot, the perennial Kempty waterfall is crowded almost throughout the year.

Nice place of a beautifull waterfall Things you should keep jn mind before going there are - there will be round of 15 minutes for a group people for taking bath and enjoying the waterfall, Only essential items, take them with you. Apart from him, leave everyone in the car you brought with you.You must carry clothes for bathing with you And also keep the waterproof camera with you to take photos 🙂 Most of all, keep in mind that never go on Saturday and Sunday, but go for a walk on the rest of the week, so that you will get less crowd.

Kempty Fall i.e. Waterfall is located at 16 kms from Mussoorie (Uttarakhand, India) on the Yamunotri Road. Kempty Falls is accessible by Car, Bike, taxi or bus which are easily available from Mussoorie station. Nearby railway station is at Dehradun railway station (51 kms) and airport at Jolly Grant Airport (74 kms). Kempty Fall is One of the most Popular and one of the oldest Tourist Spot near Mussoorie. Kempty Falls were developed as a tourist destination by a British officer John Mekinan, around 1835. The name "Kempty" is probably derived from the word 'camp-tea'. Many of the tourist from different States of India (also from other countries) came there to enjoy the beauty of nature and for refreshment. I personally admire the vibes of this place because weather, atmosphere, aroma, air, water everything is just awesome and pure. This Waterfall (Kempty fall) is literally on the lap of nature and you will definitely enjoy the environment and this place. There are some small man made ponds where you can swim and chill the mood with you family, friends or with your loved ones. Thank You so much and enjoy the lovely Beauty of Nature.

One of the best waterfall in Mussoorie. But visitors makes this place so dirty. It’s our duty not to throw our waste. This is one of the beautiful waterfall of town, enrich with nature’s beauty. Its getting commercialised which is not bad but because of that you can miss the rawness of this place.

Kempty Falls Mussoorie is a nice place and group of waterfalls to visit during summer. There is a group of waterfalls where 6 waterfalls are there at a distance of approximately 10 meters each like levels in a game. Topmost is most clear and silent and second top is perfect. It's like a natural swimming pool with waterfall. Enjoy with family.

Memory falls Mussoorie can be accessed by walking down the small valley or by a gondola. It’s a short run. The entrance is from main road but difficult to find 😅. The waterfall is in three stages. The first one is tall and accessible for bathing. The second stage is small and it’s basin is not accessible. The third and last stage is broad and again available for standing in the fall. Facilities for renting clothes and change rooms are available. Some snacks are available too. It’s great to sip tea or coffee standing in the cool waters. Children and youngsters enjoy the place immensely.

Loved this place. It's about 14-16km from Mussoorie's Mall Road. The waterfall is divided in two levels. The upper one has breezing water and fall, lower one is only waterfall. One can travel this place via personal/rental two/four wheeler. After reaching to destination, one has to go down stairs to see water fall. You can also take gondola ride for one or two ways. Rate is ₹150/- per person for both sides. You can also take bath in waterfall and mini pool kind of structure under waterfall. In case you couldn't carry bathing cloths, you can take them on rent on spot. Luggage can be kept in locker there. Locker price is ₹100/- per locker. Dress is ₹50/- per person (T-shirt / top and lower). Must visit place near Mussoorie.

The kempty falls is excellent. The flow of the water is excellent. The water is too cold . But you should try to once get in the water. You will find adjacent changing room so you won't need to travel a long. The falls is a bit below. You can go walking.but while returning you can also choose the rope way facility.

To reach Kempty falls, one needs to go down close to 300 stairs which starts from main road. The falls look huge and gives you chilling vibes. There are some areas where you can enjoy the falls without any risk, you can swim, click photos and maybe just sit and relax.

It's a beautiful place with a lot of scenic beauty. A must visit in Mussoorie. I went during non-holiday season and still it was crowded. There is a lift to go down to the falls and come back, if you want. It's better to take the tickets for both I e. going down and coming up as the price is same even if you just come up.

Kempty Falls, nestled in the picturesque hills of Mussoorie, is a captivating natural wonder that draws visitors seeking respite from the hustle and bustle of urban life. The cascading waters, plunging from a height of around 40 feet, create a mesmerizing spectacle against the lush green backdrop of the surrounding mountains. The journey to Kempty Falls is an adventure in itself, with winding roads offering breathtaking views of the Himalayan landscape. Upon reaching the falls, one is greeted by the soothing sound of water, creating a tranquil atmosphere that instantly rejuvenates the senses. The pool at the base of the falls provides a refreshing escape, inviting visitors to take a dip in the cool, crystal-clear water. The surrounding area is well-maintained, with designated viewing platforms that offer ideal vantage points for capturing the beauty of Kempty Falls through the lens. Additionally, the presence of local vendors selling snacks and souvenirs adds a touch of vibrancy to the site. While Kempty Falls is undoubtedly a scenic gem, it's essential to note that the popularity of the attraction can result in sizable crowds, particularly during peak tourist seasons. To fully savor the beauty and tranquility of this natural wonder, visiting during off-peak times or weekdays is advisable. In conclusion, Kempty Falls stands as a testament to the breathtaking beauty of nature, providing a serene retreat for those seeking solace amidst the mountains. Despite the potential for crowds, the allure of Kempty Falls remains undeniable, making it a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike.

Too good…however I went in mid November and temp was around 15 degree, it was not a peak time to visit but we enjoyed it to the fullest as it was not crowded… you can enjoy the other adventure rides like zip line ,rope cycling, rope climbing, boating…etc

One of many interesting hilly adventures Mussoorie areas are plenty of sports activities as we see other hilly terrain. This is the only place where beauty and the beast can be seen at a time, realistic charm and its development of superficial things make these areas a charming spot. Kempty Falls and Ropeway adventures add an enchanting memory in a span of life. Towering green trees and diverse flora and fauna create an atmosphere that seamlessly integrates with the waterfall’s surroundings. The cool, fresh air surrounding the waterfall connects visitors to the rejuvenating energy of nature. The awesome views are always changing season wise, in monsoon it is marvellous while in winter it becomes totally covered with snowflakes and even unreachable but beckons visitors an unforgettable sensation too.

Very beautiful waterfall. And a huge walkway market where they sell tourist attractions and tea shops around. But the place is not maintained at all, people spit everywhere and dumped waste. And you will see rope way to the fall. It’s a very small rope way costs you .Rs.200 for one way. And won’t accept online payments. May better walk to to the waterfall while going and return come in rope way.

  • 5/5 Ankit B. 5 months ago on Google
The falls itself is very pretty and the water appeared white and clear(just like you might have seen in some pictures). You can either walk or take a cable car ride to see the waterfall. You will see hundreds of people getting into the water and having fun. There are a few lookouts to to enjoy the waterfall and take pictures. Kempty Falls was only 5 kilometers from our hotel JW Marriott but I guess is a good 45-60mins. drive in a car from Mussoorie (depending on the traffic). Stop littering and save this wonderful spot for others to enjoy as well. The city has a task cut out for them to take action and tidy up this place which I believe is one of the attraction in Mussoorie !

Plan to visit early, before 11am the crowds are very less and you can enjoy the fall to yourself. The walk is long, elderly can take the ropeway. You can complete the total visit within 2-3hours. The shops along the way to the fall offer good items and deals, on the return you can do a bit of shopping also.

Amazing place to spend day with family and friends. One can reach there by foot or can take cable car ride. Charges for both side ride is Rs. 150. Water wear & lockers were freely available for nominal rent. After all we enjoyed the fall. Sanitation was not upto the mark. Garbage can be seen every here and there. No arrangements for public toilets were seen. Million of people visit here & state is earning good revenue out of this location for its popularity but a much is needed in regard of car parking & proper sanitation.

Decent experience. The ticket for cable car is Rs 150 per person in case someone doesn’t wish to climb down and climb up. With the cable car, it takes about 45 mins to cover the entire place. View of the falls is nice. Overall, more cleanliness could be maintained at all places (shops, restaurants, washrooms, cable cars, etc). There is also option to do boating but I didn’t find it worth doing as its boating in a small swimming pool.

One of the beautiful falls in India. You can go by step or by rope car. You can swim and enjoy it near the fall. There was some bridge construction going on once that is completed it will be awesome. The best place, nice ambience. 😍

It's a very nice waterfall few kilometres away from Mussoorie. You can even take a bath here if you like, there are changing and cloak rooms available. The cable car facility is also available in case you don't want to take the pedestrian route. It involves a lot of stairs, so you can take the cable car which costs INR 150 per person. Some shops have also been developed around the waterfall where you can shop and eat. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit if traveling to Mussoorie even multiple times!

Me and My friend had visited Kempty fall in the November. The ambience was such an amazing. The water from the waterfall was such a cold that you can actually forget all the pain of the Journey when you put your feet into the water.. There are shopping points there and the Price of the Items sold over there are reasonable and you can buy..

Beautiful fall and a good place for food and swimming. 50rs charge for lockers (changes according to the locker owners and shops). Make sure to bring a set of clothes with you because you might not be able to hold yourself back from going under that big Waterfall. Don't buy air tubes, the water is not that deep.

Kempty Falls is a popular attraction in Mussoorie, which is seldom visited by families as a refreshing picnic spot. This is a commercialized waterfall, with its base similar to a pool surrounded by locker rooms and shops. Even if you reached the place without a plan to take a dip, rented clothes are available if you wish to get in the water. After parking your vehicles on the top, there is a good climb down to reach the waterfall, with shops on either side. If you prefer to avoid the descent and the climb after, there is also an option for a cable car to reach the base and then back to the top. It is charged at ₹150 per head for a roundtrip (April 2022). A good place for some time with friends and family.

Pretty big waterfall and safe pond like structure created so on can play in water easily. Swimming costumes flip flops tubes are available on rent and changing rooms are also there. Walk till fall is reasonable but 20-40 stairs are there from gondola point till fall and small eateries

Nice place to enjoy the waterfall. Try upper Kempty Fall and move up as much possible to get the best experience of the waterfall. Carry changing clothes as it makes sense to take a dip

  • 3/5 Atul B. 1 year ago on Google
If you are planning to go there for bath then carry water cover. The people there charge like 150 to 200 rs for such. Everything is costly and people are greedy there. The only good thing is there is a clothes store for bathing they charge 25/- for bathing. Do not buy anything from side shops. They charge a lot. As this is a tourist place they charge double. Food is okay in restaurants surrounded there you will find mostly Punjabi and Chinese.

This waterfall has a separate fanbase and great vibes. Great for enjoyment with friends and family in the Mountains. The water is quite cold . Make sure to carry your clothes and undergarments if you plan to bathe in waterfall. There are two parts of Kempty falls, prefer going to the down one... It's better☺️ Many options are there to get clothes/lockers on rent..and you have plenty of food stalls as well

Rooms are in very bad conditions. Cold wind blows inside room and shower area as there are gaps in windows. Food is good but utensils are dirty and you need need to clean it. It’s a very good heritage property but not maintained. You can’t even move outside the hotel as the entire road is dug up by local authorities and outside area is muddy. AVOID THIS HOTEL
