Tasty would be an understatement, I am well travelled globally, especially Middle East countries. I have lived in the middle East for 30 years. Within India quality and aroma of this place would be rated the highest from my end. However the quantity does not justify the pricing for a eatery of this kind. Then again tasty tasty tasty makes up for the pricing. If you want great aromatic senses activated, this is definitely a place to eat.

This place i love. Specially chicken shawarma. Tried chicken tikka and it was finger licking delicious. Cost wise : Menu is on higher side. Service is fast. Ambience is open space but cool. Crowd is good. Location is okay. Parking space is there.

They have two branches. One is big one in the centre which is good I think. But the other one, the smaller one is quite opposite and worst in service first of all. SERVICE:- Arrogant, rude, staffs. Totally non professional. Talks in such a sluggish, and arrogant way. Somewhat like a harrasment. I'm never gonna go there ever in my life. If possible you guys avoid it too. ⚠️"Females should especially avoid this place, specially" When I call the serving staff he come to our table by sliding from his feet instead of simple walking. Waiting & Service: Waiting time was extremely long so when I enquire ld about it l, staff just replyed in a very very arrogant way. Making us feel like we should just go away without eating. SERVING⚠️ —They gave us water bottle and onion with green-sauce (chatni) very soon and does not not gave any main course till 20-30 minutes. —No tissue paper was given. —Gave us the salad made of smelly onion. FOOD 🍲:- —Very basic taste. —Not worst as their service but neither too good. —Very very basic taste. —But yeah a fresh. Also the staff himself said that their butter chicken was "no good". ATMOSPHERE Inside the restaurant: VELery foul smell was there, so we shifted outside the restaurant. And told the staff about smell then he very rudely instead of resolving the issue, just started asking us what smell. Outside the area is very clumsy filled with non sense stuffs. Cost to Experience:- Very expensive and non justifiable price. Overpriced stuffs. They even charge you for water and do not provide complimentary water. AFTERMATH: Still recovering from experience. Mood kharab(bad) kar diya(did). Overpriced. Clumsy outside and inside. Staffs do not care.

Unarguably the most famous place for having Shwarama and the place responsible for spreading this dish to rest of the places in India. Yes, you have guessed it correct it's Al-bake located in New Friend's Colony market area. I had heard so much about it that I couldn't wait to try their Shwarama and it lived up to it's expectations. The moment I had the first bite it was so juicy and was going very well with their mayo. It was the best Shwarama I had ever tried. They had many other items as well which could be good as well but since the Shwarama was so good I didn't wanted to take risk in experimenting with something else. I got 2 Shwarama for 160 the size was small and if you're hungry you would need atleast 3 Shwarama to satisy your hunger. A bit expensive considering the size but it's brand now and always buzzing with customers so a bit premium is justified.

It is the jewel crown of NFC. The sawarma roll still tasted same as I tasted last time in 2017. It was a back to memory lane experience. But place does not yet accept any digital payment which was surprising also they could arrange some air cooling considering Delhi summer.

I have fond memories of visiting Al-Bake with my brothers when I was very young. They were among the first ones to sell good Shawarma in Delhi. However, during my recent visit after a couple of years, I was disappointed by the decline in food and service quality. The Shawarma was underwhelmingly tiny and expensive at 180rs. The overall experience left me feeling robbed, and we decided not to order the main course due to the bad experience.

The first and the beat shawarma shop in India. They serve shawarma like a factory now without change in taste. Limited dine in tables are available.

Al Bake has its legacy special of NFC. They have maintained the Food Taste, Quality and Quantity. It's worth Every penny you have spent . Easy to reach the location as it's the centre of the Community Centre. Ambience is also good as you can eat outside ( Open Air) .

Great taste with fine mix of spices. Really loved the vibe and taste and a bit crowded but it's totally justified with the taste and service they are offering. If you are a non veg lover the this is totally your place. I tried dhaba chicken and chicken was so soft and juicy it just melt in my mouth. Totally worth it. Really satisfied and loved it do visit ❤️❤️

Al-Bake located in complex of New friends colony, Delhi. Famous for their only speciality- Chicken shawarma rolls. Also tried Afghani chicken, it was okay as I have had better from different places. So do try their "bestselling" shawarma rolls.

A restaurant located in Community Centre near New Friends Colony, New Delhi. This place serves many kinds of cuisines, dishes, street foods etc. This place is best for eating and having delicious dishes near NFC. Shawarma dish of Al-Bake is so yummy and one of the most popular dish of Al-Bake to have. This is a must visit place for a foodie, who wants to explore delicious dishes around the town. If you travel near by Community Centre, then you should go there to have some delicious food to make your travel experience better.

Albake is synonymous with Schwarma roll. Food is good here. One star less for the hygiene. Lots of flies flying around. The place has old delhi charm. in pic : Khamiri roti and Dal Makhni

Spend around 20 days in New Delhi at New Friends Colony for the treatment of my ACL Reconstruction at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute. For the dinner, the New Friends Colony Community Center Market was our first and last choice, and Al Bake was a primary choice in that. We had our dinner at Al Bake for like 12 days, tried almost all of their items, from India to Mughal to Oriental. To be honest, all of their items are almost great. Their Specialization is on the Mughal items, different types of Kebabs and Curries. Delhi Kebabs are special and Al Bake is one of the best.

Food quality is ok but as per pricing of dishes it's too high because there is no arrangement of proper seating, lights and fan or cooler ,if they are charging too high than they should provide good arrangement and yes here is no card payment accepted .

It's a good place to dine in. Its quality is good as compared to other restaurants in nfc except for nath sweets and haldiram. The only thing disappointing is their representation is not well it's like any dhaba. They should work on it as well as hygiene. And lastly the dishes there are mostly in nonveg so for a nonveg lover could be a good place.

In winters you can sit in open on plastic stools and tables though 🤐and enjoy your non veg delicacies 😊 otherwise get it packed on the safer side. It is one of the go to places for specific non veg items like fried chicken, chicken shawarma and chicken biryani. Rates are definitely not low as per the market but then you pay for certain things called "been there done that "😂😂 I like their shawarma only amongst all menu items for the subtle taste and flavours . I occasionally like to visit this outlet at NFC, Delhi as i get to eat Dolma Aunty momos which also again are over hyped but then sometimes we do things for the atmosphere, feel of the place and so called vibrant ambience of the whole area with shops selling fry fruits, clothes, footwear and what not🙏🙏

This place is well-known for Lebanese food chicken shawarma. Whoever visits this restaurant normally starts with at least a plate of shawarma. Other foods are ok, but nothing special. In rotis, khamiri roti is good one to try. Service is good and staffs are friendly. We have been visiting this place for the last ten years, and the quality remains the same. Although price has increased drastically. Considering the siting arrangement and no air-conditioning, food items are little on higher side.

Low quality at high price! Al Bake NFC is unable to maintain its food quality. Today, I tried Thukpa and momos.... worst soup and chicken in thukpa dish I have ever had! Momos' chatni was literally tasting like gravy of Roghan Josh.... no quality, no taste. Arrogant waiters. I have been visiting Al Bake NFC since the time it was occupying the smallest of its shop and famous for shawrma only. Once a fan of it now disappointed! Pledge not to go there again.

It's a good place to go for all the non vegetarian food lovers. It is prepared, roasted, served in front of your eyes. There is no seating area. So basically it's like non vegetarian's street food. It is a chain of non vegetarian food items and has many outlets all around Delhi. Everything is delicious here.

One of the best mutton kormas I have ever had. The spices and flavours are top notch. We ordered khamiri roti and quarter mutton biryani. It was sufficient for two people. Onion and green chutney was served along it. Quantity and quality wise 10/10. The service was also commendable. I have been fan of their shawarma since a long time but a new one was added this time. Looking forward to try some more dishes in near future.

Well Al bake is a popular name when it comes to Chicken Shawarma in Delhi. The juicy chicken beated into keema and wrapped in pita bread perfectly complimented with mayo is a perfect solution to evening cravings. I have been to this place a number of times and each time it was equally satisfying. It is usually crowded in the evenings and one might have to wait for a couple of minutes for a table. People also share tables with strangers. Today i didnot go for their signatute item rather i opted for Mutton Nihari through zomato. Here are a few details i would like to share: Delivery was quick. The delivery partner didn't have to wait much in the restaurant. Packaging could have been better. The container lid was not tight enough and not taped. The quality of the container was bad. They had wrapped it in two polythenes which is not eco friendly but kept it from spillage. The quantity was sufficient. 5 large pieces of mutton with sufficient gravy in half plate is worth it. The cost through zomato was Rs. 451/-. . It was very oily. I threw away 5 tablespoons of oil that were floating above the gravy. The gravy was good. It had all the flavours, it was thick with perfectly boiled mutton peices dipped in it. It is worth a try but only once. I have tasted better Nihari in Delhi than this to be honest. Overall satisfactory.

Nice restaurant for dine in and take away. Lots choices of foods. Located inside new friends colony market. Big parking space inside market, but bit of traffic jam nearby. We like sawarma and mutton Paya. Taste perfect and yummy

Famous for it's chicken shawarma. They sell 15 shawarma's a minute and there is no stopping of the orders. Has main course as well. Must try for chicken lovers. There is seating available outside the restaurant. It is located inside the market of new friends colony and pay and park is available around the market.

The snacks are good. Main course is similar to other non-veg dhaba or restaurants, so there is no difference in that. This place is only for non-veg lovers. Sitting arrangement and service should be improved.

Its been more than 5 years but the Shawarma at Al Bake, NFC is still delicious, fulfilling and highly satisfactory. The service is super fast, we got our scrumptious Shawarma order in under 2 minutes. We could only gorge 3 servings which was highly satisfactory. Also there are loads and loads of options to try like tikkas, kebabs, sizzlers etc which we eventually packed for home, but the quality, taste and service is matchless. Its a must go and highly recommended.

I have been a regular visitor to Al-Bake New Friends Colony, it used to be my favourite. But probably amidst the fame it has lost the taste and quality of its shawarma now, the chicken was not cooked properly. Serious intervention is required to check on the quality. Consider my review only with regards to shawarma, as I have not tried other dishes.

Ambiance - okay type. Not a fine dine place. Plastic chair and table. Service: 2/5-Service was poor due to a large number of orders. Food: 4/5 – 4 stars is for Chicken Shawarma—I tried Chicken Shawarma and Chicken Biryani. Chicken Shawarma: As usual, the best and highly recommended for everyone. First and foremost, it takes longer than 25-30 minutes. after I ate chicken shawarma. The taste was okay. I personally like the biryani rice, but apart from that, nothing was good. They don’t serve any salan or raita (curd). They mentioned "Dum Biryani", which is actually "Bina Dum Ki Biryani". It was cold, which ideally should be "piping hot". NOTE: Please carry cash; otherwise they will charge GST extra

The place for non veg food lovers especially if you like sharwma

  • 5/5 NITISH D. 2 years ago on Google
Food was very good. Service was quick. Tried shawarma after long time it was nice, just that chicken should be grilled more, few bites in between tasted raw, but otherwise flavours were great. Another dish I tried was Mutton Nihari and Khambiri roti, that was perfect in taste n spices. Overall it was a good experience.
