This review is for their buffet breakfast. I have never stayed at the hotel but I do come to have a delicious breakfast there when I am in Delhi. Mountains of patisserie, fresh juices, muesli and cereals, breads, fruits, custom prepared eggs any style, South Indian options, North Indian options, coffee any style, great chai and so much more! I am a vegetarian and so there are probably so many things I left off the list! This hotel looks divine to stay in already but combined with the incredible restaurants it hosts makes it impeccable. The whole hotel is a walk through history with photos, paintings and relics from Delhi during British rule. The staff here are warm and lovely. Beautiful.

We had a very bad totally unacceptable and pathetic experience in The Spice Route Restaurant at Imperial Hotel, Janpath New Delhi. Right in front of me the waiter brought back the portions of the complimentary snacks from another table and promptly flicked these into the portion which was served at our table. When I raised this with the floor Manager of the Restaurant, it was implied that I had made a mistake. When I persisted, the Manager wanted to remove the contaminated portions and bring these back through the revolving door basis. I refused and asked them to bring a fresh portion to the table before removing the contaminated portions. I called for the Hotel Duty Manager who took some time to come and he promptly told me that he got delayed because he was in the middle of saying his prayers! God bless the residents in the Imperial Hotel, should there be a Fire Emergency. No action should be expected as the Management are in the middle of their prayers!! The Duty Manager informed me that at the end of the shift he would get to the bottom of my complaint and would contact me the next day. To date, nobody from the Management Team at the Imperial Hotel has contacted me. All I received was a call from one of the waiters asking me to come for lunch the next day. When we informed them that lunch on any day is not possible, no other alternative was suggested. To add insult to injury, they promptly brought the bill for our dinner meal and I settled in full and gave us a pathetic gift box containing some spices. We, as a family have hosted many dinners and also weddings at the Imperial Hotel, in the past. We will certainly be reviewing this going forward. Finally, with COVID-19 being so rampant, the protocol was not followed as contaminated food was allowed to be mixed with our intended meal. Even, a street hawker, would not have done what a so called prestigious 5* Hotel has done. Do I expect a call or any form of communication from the Management of The Imperial Hotel? Not really!

Superb experience in a heritage hotel, central Delhi. The hotel itself is a stunning masterpiece that effortlessly blends colonial architecture with modern elegance. My room at The Imperial was nothing short of luxurious. It was exquisitely designed, combining traditional elements with contemporary comforts. The plush bedding, elegant furnishings, and spacious layout created a serene haven to retreat to after a day of exploring the bustling city. The Imperial's spa and wellness facilities are second to none. The tranquil atmosphere, skilled therapists, and a wide array of rejuvenating treatments provided a much-needed respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Whether it was indulging in a relaxing massage or taking a dip in the crystal-clear swimming pool, I left feeling revitalized and refreshed. Whether you are visiting for business or pleasure, The Imperial sets the benchmark for hospitality and remains an epitome of grandeur in the heart of the city.

I attended a business meet at the Hotel. The decor was tastefully done. The walls were adorned with paintings depicting Historical figures and monuments. The service was excellent and the staff, extremely polite and courteous. The food quality was outstanding, both the vegetarian as well as Non vegetarian main courses were aromatic and spiced the right way, with very little oil used in cooking those dishes. All in all, an excellent experience 👏

Located in the heart of India’s capital, Imperial New Delhi is an award-winning iconic 5-star hotel. The heritage hotel is an ultimate exemplar of Victorian charm and colonial elegance. Imperial has 9 categories of luxurious rooms and suites that overlook a stunning lush green garden. For single lady travellers, they have a special facility called the Eliza Experience that promises a pleasant stay. Moreover, the hotel has some of the finest restaurants and bars of the city for a blissful dining experience.

Being rated a 5-star hotel, the services provided and the responsiveness was not at par with a rating. If a guest has to ask for even the general, routine, and mandatory services in the current Covid-19 situations then there's no difference from a 3-Star hotel. This was just one of the examples during my stay there for the first time. Infrastructure is good but the service industry is known mainly because of the services being offered to the customers/ guests. Therefore, I would rate it as a 3-Star instead of a 5-Star hotel. Very Bad experience. Won't recommend it to anyone irrespective of known or unknown to me.

I as of late remained at the Royal Inn and had a phenomenal encounter. The lodging was perfect, current, and agreeable, with every one of the conveniences I wanted for an extraordinary stay. The staff were well disposed and inviting, and made a special effort to ensure I had all that I wanted. One of the features of my visit was the staggering perspectives on the city horizon. The area was likewise awesome, with simple admittance to every one of the significant attractions in Delhi. Everything during my visit was dealt with by the lodging. By and large, I would enthusiastically prescribe this Inn to anybody searching for an agreeable and helpful stay in Delhi. The lodging surpassed my assumptions all around, and I can hardly hold on to remain there again on my next excursion to the Capital city

This place is worth the price. One of the best places to stay at while I’m in Delhi. I enjoyed my stay here last month while I was in Delhi for a week. The staff is absolutely fantastic and the hotel location is smack in the center of Delhi. Despite that, the hotel manages to make this one of the best places to stay at. The one star missing above is due to an unexpected interaction with one of the serving staff at the restaurant. He didn’t seem up to standard of the rest of the hotel. Everything else was terrific!

I spent one night on my last trip to Delhi, since you step in the experience is wonderful! Kindness, customer first, clean, large rooms.. all was great. This hotel is a museum where you can feel the history. Breakfast delicious with asian and western dishes. Quick check in and out. Actually I had dinner at restaurant 1911 and recall the year when Delhi was declared India’s capital! We had a quick dinner at white marble table which apparently is the same furniture where the “Indian partition” was signed. The ambiance is amazing in colonial style, food and service were excellent!

The restaurant named 1911 inside The Imperial has 3 reasons to visit: 1- good for personal as well corporate/professional meetings. 2- food quantity and quality, both, excellent. Well thought menu. Thai and North Indian food are main attraction. 3- easy to reach, prime location (CP-heart of capital) and nice staff.

Don’t get me wrong, this hotel is overall incredible. I admittedly hold 5 star hotels to a very high standard when reviewing. The property is beautiful. Gardens, architecture, and general vibe is top notch. Upon entering it feels like old school British high class and charm. The food options and service level are 5 star. Now for the rooms. When you pay top dollar there are a couple expectations. There needs to be some kind of view. That was certainly not the case here. I just kept the shades down to avoid staring at the side of a wall. The rooms are well maintained but very old. The phones are from the 90’s and stained. The tv system is pieced together and appears to also be from the 90’s. A critical miss from this hotel is the shower. Water pressure is abysmal. I’ve never once complained about that in any reviews. It was awful. The hot water was all over the place and very frustrating. Clearly they plumbing system is outdated as well. Honestly it felt like a motel 6 experience in the shower.

Indeed a perfect place for big fat Indian weddings with the most reachable destination that’s Janpath. The property very well defines the classical touch. The oldest 5* property of Delhi still tops the maintenance. The pool is extra ordinarily large with a pleasant surroundings. It also has an hidden spa!

Very classy property, with ambience filled with the symbols of a time of princes and Raj. Lots of pictures, artefacts to recreate the times of princes and kings, royalty, coat of arms on display. Very tastefully the place captures what it would have been during Raj, and in very modern air conditioned settings. It appeared like an oasis in the middle of the humdrum of centre of a megalopolis. As one drives into the gates, it gets quiet and a sudden change to curated luxury. The property is well maintained and the restaurant staff are well behaved, courteous and ready to tend to the small needs. We had breakfast and the spread was very wide, as well as options to order particular food preparations.

OMG! Couldn't believe that I'm staying here! Could feel the nostalgic vibes at this Heritage hotel. I feel like I'm living in early 1940's. Have seen such places in movies but this is the first time I'm staying in such a wonderful Heritage hotel. Kudos to the management, staffs and the entire team who still maintains the same atmosphere...

This is one of its kind hotel, with all the luxuries available. The style is quite unique with all the wooden furniture, wooden decorations, etc. One must visit the entire hotel to spot the different kinds of paintings and wooden creations. Overall, a very unique experience. Happy staying!!!

The British architecture in the place is mesmerizing. Hidden behind the trees on a busy road, the hotel has indeed kept it's esthetic value alive for all these years. The staff is well mannered and very professional. All the COVID guidelines and precautions are followed at its best. One thing that I noticed was that they were using thermal cameras at main entrance of the hotel. I must admit, I haven't seen any other hotels in Delhi using such kind of technology. There is an in-house parking. You can drive here by your own car or by cab as well. Food was good as well. Overall, it was a nice experience.

The iconic property in heart of delhi. You wouldn't normally find such high ceilings in any hotel. The way this hotel has preserved it's heritage look with all modern amenities is worth a praise. I was here for a business meeting , but the moment you enter the hotel, it's grandeur starts. They have a beautiful lawn to host large gathering events. Truly amazing.

Don't get me wrong the 4 stars genuinely hold. The staff is really really nice, the way they treat guests is so nice i felt humiliated to even consider them as staff. The reception is prompt and the place is clean, spotless perhaps. Service can be just a tad bit better but overall it's been a great expirience.

Superb experience in a heritage hotel, central Delhi. Most of rooms are spacious and refurbished, some are older but in any case, all are very clean. Public spaces are superb and the swimming pool is a must to do! Restaurants are good. It's important not to spend all its time visiting the surroundings; Connaught place is nice but it's a true "tourist trap"... They are much better and quieter places in south Delhi (Humayun tumb, Lodhi garden, Qtub minar...), or immersive places in north Delhi (Chandni chowk, Jama Madjid etc.)

We stayed for 4 nights. The people make the place a welcoming stay. They were very helpful and we felt well looked after. They were friendly, kind and accommodating. The bed was comfortable and the A/C worked well. The bathroom was clean and shower strong. The coffee was good which was a rarity. They had a good variety of food and suited different tastes. Their mocktails were very good. The garden is lovely. During the day it was relaxing away from the busyness and traffic outside. In the evening it's cool and the vibe was pleasant with music playing. They had live music on one of the nights during our stay.

The Imperial Hotel truly lives up to its name with regards to its heritage and building. The hotel is well mentained with a touch of modernism so it doesn't lose its charm. The hotel is wheelchair friendly with a staff that is well mannered. The food provided is of good quality and provides ample variety. The only reason I am cutting a star is because the lifts (being from the Imperial era) are small and thus can only hold upto 4 people.

Our rooms, one Heritage and other Grand Heritage (upgraded at check-in) were dark with practically no sunlight and no views despite having two windows in each room. The hotel and the Amex websites are misleading in that respect. While the rest of our experience was ok, the lack of any views and living in basement-like experience alone should be enough to disqualify this place as a Fine Hotels and Resorts. The window glass in our rooms had been painted and tall shrubs planted right outside to hide the large smoking hut built within 10 ft of the windows. Do not stay on the ground floor or in rooms 26 and 27. Service was inconsistent. One person would tell us something was included as Amex benefit, only for someone to change that later and say it was not, and then a third person to revert back and apologize for the confusion. But wasted precious time in that process. Our rooms were behind the smoking hut in the photo.

As Imperial as it can get. Prodigy of a hotel established in 40s, the staff treats you like a Maharaja. Delighted, i stayed there.

Ambience is good. Rooms are also fine. But food left me wondering.... Also as lot of celebrities stay here it's personal choice but I wouldn't like to go here.

One of the best hotels for a stay in delhi. Being located at such a prime location, its entry is easily spot-able. This hotel has ample parking space for vehicles. The reception, lounge and rooms resemble the European architecture.

Amazing vibe of their open air dining. They serve really authentic Italian food. We ordered all vegetables pizza, penne pasta (without veggies) and lasagna. Tiramisu was really a delight, best I had till date.

A place of historical significance (Patialia Peg is the place Nehru, Gandhi and Jinnah met to discuss the partition). Also well known for their breakfasts and 24x7 café. Full of imperial memorobilia, especially from the Delhi Durbar of 1911. Fancy, and fun!

A must to visit wether you are staying or just visiting one of the restaurants. Even otherwise do visit and be into that Victorian erA when leutens infra was built. This property a part of that era carries enough history

This is an elite, boutique hotel, with old world charm. The pictures are a virtual treat, they are a treasure of our Delhi when the place must have been built. The courtyard with natural light coming from it's high dome at Patiala Peg, the Maharaja's photo in all royalty, the jewels he's wearing are a treasure.
