The place isn’t worth the hype. I ordered Rajmah Chawal and stuffed paneer naan. Both of them had an average tatse . Servicing at peak hours is slow. Parking is available near the shop.

Absolutely love their rice combos. Paneer rice is my all time favourite. Great option for dinner, if you work nearby. If you're looking for a place for quick bites, then you need to visit this place.

Jain Restaurant by name its not famous in CP but if you ask someone Rajma Chawal opposite PVR Rivoli you are bang ON! This place is famous among foodies for serving delicious and sumptuous north indian food at affordable prices. Its a road side shop with standing tables outside where you can stand and enjoy your mouth watering food. Its open till late at night people park their vehicle in front of this shop and eat in their vehicles as well. Now lets talk about food they serve Rajma Chawal, Kadi Chawal Chole Chawal , Paranthas and many more in snacks one can find samosa, Bread Pakora, pakore etc but their most famous dish is rajma chawal served with achaar and papad. So just head their and enjoy specially in the evenings.

Great food, piping hot served very quickly. The turn around time for the order was good, given that there was super rush during lunch time. Liked the fact that the few tables, have constant movement of people putting their plates up eat and leave. Wish there were more tables

Hole in the wall place with limited standing space and no sitting. Tables are not cleaned so expect little hygiene. Overall food was disappointing but chaat was yummy - will recommend only chaat here. Bhalla papadi chaat was yummy - very fresh light and tasty. Gulaab jamun was also good. Shahi paneer was very delicious and flavorful. Rajma chawal were homely and flavorful. Achari paneer tikka was bad - tasted like an oily mix of Chinese chilli paneer and Mughals paneer tikka. Daal makhni was average. Thali was also not good - mix veg was dry and not flavorful. Rice was average.

The restaurant is located in a small shop in the middle of Connaught Place. It is a no-frills establishment with simple seating. However, the food is the real star of the show. The dishes at Jain Chawal Wale are made with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. The flavors are simple but delicious, and the portions are generous. The prices at Jain Chawal Wale are very reasonable. A full meal will cost you around Rs. 100. The service at Jain Chawal Wale is friendly and efficient. The staff is always happy to help you choose the right dish and answer any questions you may have. Overall, Jain Chawal Wale is a great option for travelers looking for a delicious and affordable vegetarian meal in Connaught Place. Here are some of the pros and cons of Jain Chawal Wale: Pros: Delicious and affordable food Simple and no-frills establishment Friendly and efficient service Cons: Can be crowded during peak hours Limited seating Overall, Jain Chawal Wale is a great option for travelers looking for a delicious and affordable vegetarian meal in Connaught Place. However, if you are looking for a more spacious and comfortable restaurant, you may want to consider other options in the area.

Place remains crowded due to its location and rates as compared to the nearby eateries in the Cannaught Place market. Don't expect a sitting or standing place at such a crowded place, but service and cleanliness can be improved. Taste is also normal and on a mediocre side. Still you must visit the place if you are Cannaught Place.

A great place to visit for a lazy morning breakfast. Whenever you visit this place, i recommend that you leave your fear of trams fat at home. The food is heavy and the portions are generous. You will have to bring forward your ability to eat while you're standing because there's no provision for sitting. This is a part of its charm and adds to its authentic Desi Street food experience.

Even on a normal day there are hoards of people lining up for some excellent food. Service is quick and taste sumptuous. Classic are the Rajma-rice and kadhi-rice, but lots of options in both sweet and savoury. Prices are such that it doesn't hit the pocket too much and to add surrounding area is bustling and there is always plenty to do. Jain Chawal wala shows how a dish traditionally from Western Punjab of undivided India have gained so much popularity in India. The shop is located in CP, and is in P-Black very near to Khadi India. I must go shop for foodies travelling and loving in Delhi Ohhh... This was the place i was missing for so long. The hot rajma chawal served here with papad and onion is just the right thing one can ask for on a chilly weather. This place is usually crowded but ensures fast service. There are no seating arrangement in the hotel, though there are couple of tables outside the place where you can eat which all in all adds the signature experience of the restaurant. There are plenty of options in the menu including kadhi chawal, chole bhature, chole chawal but i have only had rajma chawal here. Must visit if you are in and around CP. This place has been awarded best rajma chawal place in Delhi for a lot t many years.

Place is almost worth the hype. I love their Kadi Chawal. They just need to work on hygiene and infrastructure. Heavy rush during lunch time and in the evening. There are just 2-3 round tables for you stand and eat which are usually occupied but they get free too in no time. Beware of your vehicle being towed away till you are enjoying your meal. You may end up running past them with your plate in one hand!

Food quality & taste is good🤗❤️ but the place is untidy and messy! No proper sitting or even standing facilities which i understand completely because of main CP Road. Overall must visit and try for TASTE OF THE FOOD 👍🏻

Iconic place when it comes to food in delhi. Great location, quick service and super great food, but few tables you may have to share to eat it while standing. Hmm but still worth it given the quality of food. Rajma chawal and papad is our favourite but assortments of paranthas paratha indian bread, with sabko, samosa, rice chhola, chhole bhature, and a lot more available here.

If you're looking for a quick bite. Then you must visit Comfort: they only sell comfort food. You won't be provided any other comfort from them. Food: Their food is like an authentic delhi North Indian food. I being from Mumbai can classify alot of food taste difference in a good way. We ordered 1. pyaz aloo Paratha dolled up with cube of butter which came with aloo ragda sabzi, accompanied by achaar. It was good mild taste of spices, sweetness of onion and butter did alot of work, it tastes best with achar. 2. Cholle bhature with achar and pyaaz , nimbu slice as sides. The cholle they served was brownish in colour, it was kabuli chana however it was brownish it also has aloo in that, bhature wasn't hard stiff it was easy to chew and also not very giant and crispy. It had soft texture. 3. Lassi which was not having malai. Also a day before visiting this munching place we also ordered rajma chawal from them at midnight which tasted much better then anything 🥺

Almost worth the hype. You can see the place jam packed any time of the day. Taste is good, food is hygienic and best part is you can fulfil late night cravings. Make sure to taste kadhi chawal with papad. Best place to have food after parties at CP.

Popular street food place. Most people have the Rajma Chawal for 90 rupees (see the video). The place could work a little bit on their cleanliness but the food was alright.

Too much crowded, no space for sitting, take the food 🥘 sit inside your car 🚘 and then eat but my friend the Indian food they offer is value for money especially dal Makhni with rice 🍛 and Cholley chawal, also rajma chawal in just 100 ₹ per plate.

I have been regularly going to JCW over the years If you are in CP and looking to have lip smacking night cravings then it’s just the right place. Just on the verge of BKS Marg it is open till 2 pm however it gets a little less busy after one. Parking is available but look for safe spot. It’s pocket friendly by CP standard and food is also great. Must visit for night crawlers!!

Jain Chawal Wale do serve Rice dishes and Jain food. However, they also serve all kinds of tandoori dishes, tea/coffee, thalis, North Indian dishes etc. This is a place where many people come to have a meal. There’s no seating but you can stand around small tables and eat within the premises.

Not sure what the hype is all about. Food was not too good and not bad either. Just what every other food joint might be serving. Would have rated food higher, given the rice was basmati or similar quality, personal take here. Nevertheless, pricing wont put a hole in your pocket. You get Rajma rice, Chhole Rice, Kadhi Rice, Pav Bhaji etc. Service is quick but better luck finding a table. Parking can be an issue here as there is no dedicated or municipal parking available.

Chaap is amazing over here. But I had the worst rajma chawal ever in my life here. It was not worth the hype at all. Cholle bhatura is okay, not up to the mark though. Always crowded and no place to stand and eat. Enter at your own risk.

Great place for having Indian snacks and also meals. This place is 100% vegetarian and they offer piping hot food real quick. Located on the lane opposite PVR Rivoli at the iconic CP, this is a must try for their Chole Bhature and other rice combos. The Aloo Kachori is also good. The prices are a little on the higher side as per their brand value. The surroundings although can be improved for the customers. They do not have dine-in facilities but there are tables just outside this place on the roadside. The dustbins for disposing plates can be placed far from these eating tables. Apart from this, this place deserves a complete 5 star for their food!

The food joint is over hyped by delhites. Parathas are not baked properly and served in a jiffy, you can eat at other local places at much cheaper rates.

I don't think food is tasty with respect to lunch or dinner but I can say snacking options are good as well as few items like chawal rajma , kadi chawal and paranthas are so delicious. We have ordered Shahi paneer and dal makhni with chur chur naan .. I have found only Nan is palatable

Best cheap and affordable place to eat food. You can find a wide variety of all veg items. The only drawback is there is no place to sit and eat you can either stand and eat or pack. But I would recommend you should order from Zomato where you can relax in your home and eat. Funnieat part is the name " JAIN CHAWAL WALA " and jain people serving onions 😂😂😂

Ordered Malabar parantha and mutton curry, it's spicy 🥵 and quantity is too small. For Two people Rs 1500 approx. Not liked much, as quantity was too small. Sandoz is better than this definitely 😀

You can enjoy all tastey and delicious vegetarian food famous in Delhi all on one spot in Jain Restaurant near Shivaji Stadium, Connaught Place, Delhi. Mostly all dishes are costly (higher then normal price) but quality and taste is good. Prices are higher because of the restaurant is in Connaught Place. But still for many items prices are almost double and quantity is less like Paw Bhaji. Also you can order through Zomato.

Hygine 3/10 Food 8/10 Service 5/10 Cleanliness 5/10 Taste 8/10 Fullfill late night cravings - 10/10😍 This place is opened till late night untill they get food out is stock and untill police don't come in between. Food taste is very good and it fulfill its hype. They have to control such a heavy croud both during day and night. Only thing they need to improve is their hygine. Overall good place to eat alone or eat with friends and family. This is one of the must visit local food shop in Delhi. It have a great connectivity through all parts of delhi with almost all types of transportations like cab, metro, dtc bus, e rickshaw, auto etc. This place is very close to Connaught Place and only around three kilometres from New Delhi Railway Station. Eating here at night is a once in a lifetime experience to do in Delhi. If you want to do night out in Connaught Place then this is the best place to eat.

The food is awesome. I have tried their Rajma chawal, chole chawal, paneer chawal, amritsari platter, aloo parantha. In cp you can say, it is the economical and tasty option. But you need to stand outside and eat. They have no seating arrangement.

  • 4/5 Chanchal J. 7 months ago on Google
The food is good. I had bhalla papdi chat and it was yumm . I also had masala dosa it was quite spicy and i found it ok ok.. But it is pocket friendly place compared to other restaurants or cafes in CP . You should give it a try.

Jain Chawal Wale, CP, Delhi serves finger-licking comfort food bursting with flavours and at times, lots of butter. Specialist in making killer chole Bhature and rajma Chawal and that too extremely affordable. It's a small dhaba type outlet so don't come with an expectation something fancy. they have tall tables where you can stand and eat your food The restaurant offers everything from paranthas and rice dishes to pakodas and even a few Indian influenced Chinese dishes. This is just on the shivaji stadium. Very nice food but you have to stand and eat. It is very crowded and nice place. Wonderful tasting fresh food, piping hot. If you don't mind standing and eating ( since it is a roadside joint with tables on the footpath where you can place your food plate).

  • 5/5 ManojKumar R. 1 year ago on Google
Great food... Good and fast service. Not to be missed place in Delhi. Rajma chawal, paneer tikka, thali, soda and lassi were all good. Only drawback is No Sitting facility.. to stand and eat in the open facing the road. Convenient for people who drive down, they can sit in the car and eat comfortably

  • 4/5 Raman C. 1 year ago on Google
They have various varieties of dishes but the famous is for rajma chawal , Chole-Chawla & kadhi-chawal . I tested rajma because it is my all time favourite, and it was really delicious. Really crowded and kind of found it over rated. I tried kadhi chawal and choley bhature. Choley wasn't that good though bhature was soft. And, kadhi chawal was good Even though it was hell crowded, I got my food in very less waiting time. Rates are fair.

  • 3/5 Sachin K. 1 year ago on Google
Quite a good place for variety of food options like Rajma chawal, Kadhi Chawal, choley Chawal, Parathas and other fast food and snacks options. Lacks parking space, little overpriced but an eating joint u can hit any time for ur hunger for variety of food. Make sure u visit on ur own Car as there is not sitting place or not enough standing even to eat.

delicious food joint with wide variety of items. 24hrs open. 100% vegetarian. A Budget friendly outlet in such a posh location of CP. Fast service & humble owner.
