Very calm and beautiful place. Must visit in evening time. Place is surrounded by Greenery. You can sit on the grass and listen to the birds. If you're lucky than you'll spot peacock. Please Do not litter anything inside the area. And stop making tik tok everywhere 🙏. Some people come there to relax and enjoy the nature. Ticket is required for entry. Parking facility also available.

Note: This tomb shuts by 5:30PM while the Humayun’s tomb is open till 9PM. Isa Khan’s tomb is at the entrance before you start walking towards Humayun’s tomb. This small tomb is beautifully restored as you can see in the colours. The blue and red colours on the tomb is quite unique as all other parts of the exhibit are in single colours.

you can see the Taj Mahal once or twice, fine. But the Humayun's Tomb complex - you can see it again and again. The mausoleum was built in 1547-1548 during the reign of Sher Shah Suri; is octagonal in shape and built of red sandstone. Isa Khan was a noble influence at the court of Sher Shah Suri. The Tomb is located at Humayun's Tomb Complex in Delhi.

This beautiful octagonal tomb belonged to Isa Khan Niazi, an Afghan nobleman from the court of Sher Shah Suri of the Sur Empire. This dynasty ruled northern India briefly between 1538-1556. Opposite this tomb there is also a mosque building which is no less beautiful. The existence of this tomb even existed before Humayun's Tomb was built, which eventually became a complex unit Source: Instagram @boripmu

Tomb of Isa Khan is located in Nizamuddin of New Delhi. Ita a historical site which every tourist should visit to know about one of the most famous rulers of India, Isa Khan. Within the same territory, you'll get to see Humayun's Tomb too. The gigantic gates, ancient structures really amazed me. Though the way to the tomb is dirty and muddy, upon reaching there, you won't remember those watching the ancient archaeological site.

It’s a beautiful and quite place in the same complex as Humayun’s tomb, near the entrance. The entry fees to the entire complex is Rs 40 cash and Rs 35 online. It definitely is a non miss if in Delhi. The place is easily accessible by JLN Metro within 2km and you do get shared battery autos from there too. There aren’t any restaurants inside the complex but restrooms and drinking water facilities are available n well maintained

The tomb of the noble Isa Khan Niazi is located in the Humayun's Tomb complex in Delhi, India. The mausoleum, octagonal in shape and built mainly of red sandstone, was built in 1547–1548 during the reign of Sher Shah Suri. The mosque of Isa Khan is located west of the mausoleum, which along with other buildings form the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Humayun's tomb complex. The mausoleum houses the tomb of Isa Khan Niazi, who was a noble at the courts of Sher Shah Suri and Islam Shah Suri. It is situated south of the Bu Halima's garden in the Humayun's Tomb complex. An inscription at the tomb mentions that it was built in c. 1547–1548. It also says the tomb is an "asylum of paradise" built during the reign of Sher Shah. The mosque, located west of the mausoleum, was built in c. 1547. Situated just before the entrance of Humayun's Tomb it's a nice little detour to have. Beautifully sculptured with a unique blue tint makes it standout and there's also a mosque to its side. It shuts before the Humayun's Tomb so make sure to not save it for later. A quite picturesque and scenic place.

Right at the entrance to Humayun's tomb is the tomb of Sher Shah Suri's Afghan origin noble. Apparently Isa Khan meant it to be a family mausoleum and he built it during his own lifetime. Catch the carved corbels at the entrance in pre sultanate era style. Walk through into an octagonal garden with the octagonal tomb structure at its centre. Walls enclose this region from all sides. Quartzite was the material of choice with Limestone plaster. Facade can be seen decorated with multiple pigment hues. This should ideally be your first stop before heading further into the large complex beyond. Average visit time would be around 20 mins.

Located inside the Humayun's Tomb complex, Isa Khan's tomb holds it's own place as a uniquely designed octagonal tomb, with blue tiles on the dome. It was in deplorable condition and was restored recently. However, much needs to be done. There are pegions who have wrecked havoc all around, they have defaced the monument and it needs to be cleaned regularly. The tomb like other monuments in Humayun's Tomb complex is great for photography. You get great shots if you come in favourable weather which is a rarity in Delhi.

Its such a beautiful tomb but sad that it's not well maintained. It was only recent delhi government who took initiatives to restore this tomb. And it took them 5 years to restore it and yet its not fully restored. Fortunately the structure is still intact otherwise we would have lost an important small beautiful archeological site. Hopefully it would be maintained better in future.

The Isa Khan’s Tomb is a walled area just beside the Humayun’s tomb complex. Isa Khan Niyazi was a noble in the court of the famous Emperor Sher Shah Suri. This is the first monument that you will come across when you enter the heritage site of the Humayun’s Complex. This mausoleum is built in a typical Sur style of architecture. The tomb is that of an octagonal shape and there is also a mosque present out here. It is a well maintained site and is restored under the supervision of the Archeological Survey of India.

Belonging to an Afghan Noble in Sher Shah Suri's court of the Suri dynasty, born in 1453. The Tomb was built during his lifetime and the reign of Islam Shah Suri, son of Sher Shah. It later served as a burial place for the entire family of Isa Khan. It was built during his lifetime between 1547 and 1548. He died in 1548. The interior of tomb contains six graves, but it is difficult to spot the grave of Isa Khan and nothing much is known about the other five graves. The Afghan battled against the Mughals.

The tomb of the noble Isa Khan Niazi  is located in the Humayun’s Tomb  complex in Delhi, India. It is situated south of the Bu Halima's garden in the Humayun’s Tomb  complex. An inscription at the tomb mentions that it was built in c. 1547–1548. It also says the tomb is an "asylum of paradise" built during the reign of Sher Shah. The mosque, located west of the mausoleum, was built in c. 1547. Comprehensive restoration work was done through the Aga Khan Trust for Culture(AKTC), in collaboration with Archaeological Survey of India  (ASI) in 2011-2015. The tomb was constructed in the Lodhi architectural style. Its octagonal shape, the hallmark of the Lodhi era, stands on a low plinth. Verandahs surround the central chamber. Each side of the chamber consists of three arches with one chajja  (roof) present over each. The mausoleum's architectural style is similar to those of Mubarak Shah, Muhammad Shah, Khan-i-Jahan Tilangani and Sikander Lodi. The mausoleum is built mainly with grey quartzite  with red sandstone  used for ornamentation. Stucco plaster envelops the rough masonry. Different coloured tiles have been used on the walls for decoration. The tomb's gateway stands on a one-metre-high (3.3 ft) podium reached by stairs. The square head doorway of the gate chamber has been built in Hindu architectural  style. Inside the mausoleum, the tomb is enclosed by an inner octagonal wall. Other than the southern and western walls, the other walls consist of jalis  (latticed screens), which are recessed. These recesses, in turn, contain four-centred arches. The western wall has the main mihrab  (a semi-circular niche in the wall which indicates the direction of Mecca, the direction in which Muslims pray). The mihrab is four centred and bordered by Quranic verses. The southern wall includes the main entrance to the building. The medallion located at the centre of the dome is ornamented with Persian floral designs. It also has a Quranic verse. The tomb chamber consists of six tombs—two large and four smaller. Sandstone slabs are used to pave the floor. The cenotaph of Isa Khan Niazi is made of red sandstone and marble. The central dome resembles that of the Qila-i-Kuhna Mosque  at Purana Qila. The side domes are raised on pillars and resemble pavilions. The single prayer chamber is divided into three bays. The mosque's central bay is made of red sandstone, the side-bays of grey stone. Each bay houses a four-arched gateway to the mosque, whose borders are decorated with green and blue tiles. The corners of the central bay are adorned with pinnacles. According to the Archaeological Survey of India, the mosque is simpler in comparison to the mausoleum. There are three equal-sized arches on each facade supported by stone pilasters. Blue and green tiles border the arches. A frame made of red stone contains the central arch. These features were inspired by the Moth ki Masjid mosque in Delhi. The side arches are made of grey stone and decorated with stucco. The medallions on the spandrels  of these arches contain floral designs inlaid with blue and green tiles, a feature of Morrish architecture. The mosque stands on a one-metre-high (3.3 ft) platform. Its interior is plain, and the floor is simply plastered. The lateral domes are built on pendentives , while the central dome rises from squinches  on a 16-sided drum. Its pavilions, supported by stone pillars, are adorned with blue tiles. The mosque contains three mihrabs  of equal size, carved of stone, containing calligraphy.

What a place! Isa Khan’s Tomb and the surrounding grounds are breathtaking and awe inspiring. The history is rich and there are markers throughout offering a thorough bilingual description of the various points of interest within the complex. The building is beautiful and is very well preserved in spite of its 400 plus year history. Make sure to allow a couple of hours to walk into the buildings, around the grounds and to take some time to sit and enjoy the serenity of the place. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Delhi.

Isa Khan Niazi was an Afghan Nobel who served Lodhi's and was placed in the courts of Sher Shah Suri. During the time when Lodhis completely dominated India, the duo of Khan brothers was having a golden time being prominent members of the ruling family.  Isa Khan was in the same tribal unit of nobles as Ibrahim Lodhi, Sher Shah Suri. Most of these families were attached to the Delhi sultanate.

Nothing to be mentioned as great as other historic buildings in Delhi. It consists of a flower dome garden which was buried under sand since few years ago. 7000 people worked for around 5 yrs to restore this back to the original design in 2011. Much of its relevance seem to be lost since reconstruction of the lost designs are done now with modern technologies. It is a part of Humayuns tomb. You can see a lot of kites in the sky and kites nest in the trees. In addition, you can see a lot of couples coming here to make out. Under every tree and at very nook and corner there are couples. You can see a grave yard behind this if you step into the fort wall.

Tomb is situated right by the Humayun's Tomb and is older over 2 decades than the latter. It is only surviving tomb with intact boundaries. Place is must see if you visit Humayun's tomb. There is a pathway over the boundary of the tomb which gives picturesque view of the tomb. Art style of various Tombs can be traced back to this place.

Try to visit early hours. Its a beautiful place to visit. It is a part of the Humayun's tomb complex, consists of two graves. The ambience of this structure is very raw, that takes one back to the time when it was built. Good location for photography..calm and not much crowd in this area. If you are planning to visit this place on weekend then it is better you book the tickets online as the queue is too long for tickets..too long means too long.

Isa Khan was the Sultan (leader) of an empire (region) called Bengal Sultanate - which covered parts of India, Bangladesh and Burma. Isa Khan was able to keep the larger Mughal empire from taking over the Bengal region. However, after the death of Isa Khan, the Mughal armies were able to take over the Bengal region. The Isa Khan Tomb is located in the same area of the much larger Humayun Tomb which along with other buildings were designated to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Beautiful Architecture of Isa Khan's Tomb which is in Humayan's Tomb Complex....Total Six Tombs along with the tomb inside the mosque...This was built in 1547 A.D

(Translated by Google) It is inside the Humayun's Tomb complex. It is beautiful too, but it does not come close to the beauty of the most famous tomb. (Original) Fica dentro do complexo da Humayun's Tomb. É bonito também, mas não chega perto da beleza da tumba mais famosa.

Outstanding example of what a high quality restoration project can achieve in India... The tomb has come a long way from it's deplorable condition when it was over run by locals who had vandalised it ... The place is next to Humayun's tomb and you won't hear people mention it as a separate land mark ... So don't miss it it's before you walk into the Humayun's tomb complex on the right ... It's again an example of exemplary work of the Mughal period ... Very photogenic and can serve as a remarkable backdrop for your photos

(Translated by Google) A small cemetery Before the big cemetery building Walk from the entrance to the right. It is a building that is decorated with blue. Such as eyes, roof, dome and arch, unlike other tombs. There are patterns in the arches and windows to create a beautiful light.

A beautiful architectural monument. Renovated in a very professional manner. History speaks about itself. Best time when it open as few people's are there to take photographs. Inside the tomb are some graves. The look of the tomb is great.

Quite a lot more serene and peaceful than Hamayums Tomb, which is separated by a large stone gate. Dont need to pay extra to see this tomb. Great photography location. Watch out for the school kids....they sure do know how to pose for a photo!
