It’s very beautiful and fantastic place. It’s has so Much knowledge and history to it. You can spend beautiful time in this places with your loved one and also know so many things about India Air Force . It has been maintained very nicely there is a ticket for ₹20 per person there is washroom facility and also souvenir shop. They let you inside after your is checking. They also have cafeteria which provides reasonable price and good food they take little more time to Serve sometimes. But overall very good experience here.

Totally patriotic. I can feel the patroism the moment I enter to this place. I want to thank Indian Air Force to open such kind of experience for the civilians. Worth to go there with your kids to have them an awesome experience also a vision to our defence. They have a cafe inside and toilets as well. Most of the area is covered so you can visit the place in any weather. Go for it to know our Air force closely.

Very nice museum. Has all sorts of old air force planes. There's a cafe inside called Longewala lounge but food there is pathetic. There's a souvenir shop inside which sells many IAF merchandise like key rings, t shirts, jackets, caps, fridge magnets, coffee mugs, models of aircraft like mirage, thermos, beer mugs and more.

The museum is open now. They have started charging entry fees of Rs 20 per adult. There is a free car parking with shade just opposite the museum gate across the road. The museum hosts one big warehouse, two open areas and a small museum complex. Some war trophies are at display (Pakistani jeep, aircraft parts which were destroyed in war). The open areas and the warehouse are the chief attraction since they lodge the old aircrafts of Indian air force in them. A new modern cafe like eatery viz. Longewala lounge, is started in the museum complex. Snacks and fast food are available there. Quality is good. The female toilet is not clean.

Located in Old Palam road just after the airforce station, this is a treat for aviators and aviation enthusiasts being one of a kind in the country. Entry fee is 30 per adult and it’s open from 09:00-17:00. They have a cafeteria and a souvenir shop. Lot of old aircraft models and missiles/bombs are on display. Vehicles captured from the Pakistan war are also put on display. There are 3 galleries that display various items and information boards about missions and the history of events. Would have been lovely to see all the aircraft properly painted and kept clean and maintained like the ones abroad but good effort. Hopefully the new facility being built nearby will address that.

Good for one time visit with kids, avoid visiting during summer. The Indian Air Force Museum, Palam, is the museum of the Indian Air Force, and is located at the Palam Air Force Station in Delhi, India. The museum was the only one of its kind in India until the opening of the Naval Aviation Museum in Goa in 1998 and HAL Aerospace Museum in Bangalore in 2001. It showcases the history of the Indian Air Force. The Museum entrance features an indoor display gallery that contains historic photographs, memorabilia, uniforms and personal weapons of the Indian Air Force from its inception in 1932. The gallery leads to a hangar exhibiting small aircraft and Air Force inventory including anti-aircraft guns, vehicles and ordnance. Larger aircraft are exhibited outside the hangar. The outdoor gallery contains aircraft as well as several war trophies, radar equipment and captured enemy vehicles. The Vintage Aircraft Flight services some rare aircraft and maintains them in an airworthy condition. These aircraft are not normally accessible by the general public. Large transport aircraft are stored on the apron of the airbase due to lack of space. These aircraft are displayed only on the annual Air Force Day, October 8. The museum has a small souvenir shop.

The Indian Air Force Museum, Palam, is the museum of the Indian Air Force, and is located at the Palam Air Force Station in Delhi, India.[1] The museum was the only one of its kind in India until the opening of the Naval Aviation Museum in Goa in 1998 and HAL Aerospace Museum in Bangalore in 2001. It stores the rich history of IAF. It is actively managed by AVM Vikram Singh, a second generation test pilot, enthusiastically keen historian and an avid writer of war books.

Visited this place while we were waiting for the connecting flight from Delhi. Proud to see fighter jets used in wars. I was thrilled to know vessel used to carry Niel Armstrong was build by India. There are many varieties of air crafts there. They could have kept a theater to pass on information to visitors. Also, there were no guides.

Wonderful museum. It has a great display of old Indian Air Force aircraft and a large number of photos and paintings. It gives interesting information on the history of the IAF. I loved this place. The only thing is that it needs a better cafeteria. And the toilet block needs better cleaning up. Overall it is motivating enough for our young men and women to join the IAF. Schools should take children on outings to this museum.

Nice place to visit with family and friends. Also very informative for young kids. It has two covered gallaries for different prototype of memorials related air Force. Rest is open to air museum where scaled versions of different aircraft and fighter planes are kept. Usually one can spend one to two hours to complete whole tour.

This amazing temple in waterways of Ganges is just half an hour drive from Bhagalpur. This place has fond memories of my childhood and is also my maternal grand-parent's place. The temple is situated in holy town of Sultanganj (Bhagalpur) . This small town Sultanganj and temple is witness to great Shravani Mela (Fair). This temple has some very old carvings, sculptures and inscription on the stone, apart from being place for prayer of Lord Shiva. The temple is on the Murali rocks of Sultangaj. Lord Shiva is known to be Swayambhu or self originating from the very beginning. This is a very important place of worship and attracts millions of pilgrimages every year in the holy month of Shravan (July/August). Few interesting facts about this place Sultanganj is that, it is known to have contributed many antiquities from Krishnagarh to Patna & London museum. Word's largest Buddha's statue found from Sultanganj is kept in Birmingham museum, London. My childhood memories include visiting temple in boats.

A must visit to witness the valour of our airforce. Different fighter planes to watch out for. How fighter planes have evolved is also very hearting to see. Must visit with children, they can witness gloary. Awesome museum. Gift and souvenir shop is also very reasonably priced, do visit and buy some stuff as per your interest. Only disheartening part is, not very well managed and should be looked after more cautiously.

The metal scraps, broken propellers, rusted panels and even the sounds of jets around the vicinity have a deep glorious story to tell. A Sense of pride and respect will stir just up inside of you. To actually experience the pain and the sacrifice of the elites you have soak up the details inch by inch. I visited this place years back & never publicly reviewed it. So here it is. Situations may be different during these pandemic times.

Visited this place during my Bihar visit on 14/01/2020. A famous Bengali thriller film "Baidurya Rahasya" was shot here. Though the place has been changed a lot, in the film the temple was in between the Ganges & one had to take a boat to reach there, but now the river has changed it's course leaving the temple hill on dry land & floating beside it, a bridge has been made to reach the temple easily, yet the place is quite enjoyable. The steep stairs of the temple on the hill the atmosphere will amaze a person. Stand on the roof in the midway of the hill just above the river and if you have luck you can see Ganjetic Dolphin which is a rare species & can be found here in quite a number.

I can't really give a star or 4 to this place since I traveled here all the way from Gurugram only to realize that the place is temporarily closed according to the security. There was a dedicated parking just for the museum that was located across the road and an indication board exits that says so. Both the parking and the main entrance was accessible since it was a ramp or leveled ground at both places. I will update rest of the review when I enter the museum on the next trip.

Maintained typically in the sarkari style. Old airplanes seem to have been just painted using a bucket of paint and a brush. Not much information about the equipment kept there even though it forms an important part of our country's rich history. A guided tour by a retired Airman with a few stories thrown in would have been great... Kids would love to see the airplanes there, but nothing more than that.

This place is worth and I really wanted to see it but since this museum was temporarily closed. Giving rating in stars is not worth, this is always on higher priority side. It is mere a scale for this which is always on 100% side. Hopefully, when I visit the place (Museum) will be open. Yeah, I did not check anything and I just got to know that there is Air force Museum, Let's go. But I found the place temporarily closed. I got to know there that the ticketing system is there which is at too lower sode so it is not a big deal. I will write another review when I make a visit again and explore my excitement to this place.

Ajgaivinath Temple, located in Sultanganj, is one of the most famous Hindu Temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Idol in the main temple of Ajgaibnath is believed to be Swayambhu (Self-manifester). The temple has been associated with Muni Jahnu, as a belief says that the Idol in the Ajgaivinath Temple protruded in Jahnu Muni's ashram. There is a story which says that when Muni Jahnu was meditating in his ashram, the Ganges on her way to the ocean disturbed Jahnu with the ripples of her waves. Muni Jahnu is believed to have swallowed the whole river, and Muni Bhagirath saved the Ganges by making an incision on Jahnu's thighs to make way for the Ganges. Thus river Ganges received the name Jahnavi.

Collections are good but old. Would be great to see some modern warfares, aircrafts and weapons that can be displayed in public domain. Worst part is the souvenir shop inside has literally nothing good that can be bought. The models look like kid toys, no proper finishing, not worthy at all. The fridge magnets or other stuff are not good or attractive. Very less and bad collection of souvenirs. You get better ones online.

  • 4/5 Aromal C. 2 years ago on Google
An amazing place not only aviation enthusiasts, but also to every proud Indian🇮🇳. The history and sacrifices of our brave soldiers🪖 is well showcased here. From fighter aircrafts to space suits👨🏽‍🚀, tanks, firearms🔫, uniforms💂🏽‍♀️...this place has it all. The place is very neat and clean. Public facilities like washroom, canteen etc are there. Only thing I am not very happy was the state of the displays. They seems to be very very old and not cleaned often. Maybe a renovation with more interactive activities to do would draw attention of a lot of tourists and children alike. Nearest metro station🚇 is Sadar Bazaar Cantt on Magenta Line. You can take an e-rickshaw there. The place is not crowded at all. You have to provide a valid Govt. ID to enter the premises. All you bags and luggage will be kept at the gate. Then you have to get a ticket🎟️from the counter. The museum is not very big and about 45mins-1hr would be enough to explore the place completely. I think the place is a must visit for every able Indian to know more and cherish the bravery of our soldiers. And don't forget to checkout the Souvenir and gift shop! Recommended!
