The entry is free here but remember to carry your original ID proofs otherwise you will not be allowed to visit the museum the timing is 10AM-4PM. The museum have every detailed history of Supreme Court right from the Britishers time. There are many things of history as well as like chairs of former Supreme Court Judges, high profile case papers, uniforms worn by the judges as well as the hammers through which whey shout order order & many more things. You will also see old pictures supreme court as well as of many old pictures of high courts too. And all the judges of supreme court of India. And remember you cannot shoot or record videos inside the museum.

Superb and full of history, interesting and stuffs from British era. Very quite museum and not crowded. Good location and nearby metro station at walking distance. Nearest metro station is Supreme Court earlier called Pragati Maidan. At the metro station you can eat street food. At the entrance security check is mandatory. You can't take pictures inside the museum , so just enjoy the moment peacefully and look the items showing nicely. There is 2 section one at first floor and the ground floor. Happy that I have been there. Very helpful and polite staffs. ЁЯМЯЁЯМЯЁЯМЯЁЯМЯЁЯМЯ

It's a good museum stating the history of justice in India from ancient times to modern times. Has lots of exhibits, photos and book quotes. Has models of different high courts and Supreme Court in India. Great addition to knowledge about the judiciary history. Entry is free but one must carry ID card and make an entry and go through security check.

Very near to Pragati Maidan metro station and really the place is worth visiting as one can find many intricaties which the Indian judiciary follows and possess but we do not know. The wigs used in olden days by the judge made me laugh but is an important part. The museum though small but is well maintained, kept clean and fully ventilated with washrooms available.

It was overall an enriching experience. It's more about reading and exploring the history and Indian Legal Background. There are 2 floors, fully air-conditioned. You need to carry an identity card. There is no entry fee or visiting charge. It's quite peaceful and opens at 10 am.

(Translated by Google) The Supreme Court Museum was established to preserve, protect and display rare objects, artifacts, manuscripts, old documents, files and photographs reflecting India's legal heritage and the growth of our justice delivery system. The first gallery depicts the growth and development of the judiciary in India from ancient times to the British period, while the second gallery portrays the development of the Federal Court and the Supreme Court through unique objects of that period. One of the highlights of the museum is a deed of the 'spiritual succession' of the 16th century AD, under which Syed Shah Ali Qutub - i - Sani gave his son, Syed Shah Abdul Hasan - i - Hussaini as Dharamshala and his successor. Appointed Regency. It declares that all the property and gossip belonging to the aforesaid Dharamshala and the Vice-President shall thereafter be vested in his successor, a mace which signifies the right of home. This is not a regular museum where you will get to see paintings, artefacts, or sculptures. This place offers you with loads of information related to the ancient to the modern, tribal to urban law systems of India. One can have a glimpse of significant reports of cases like Indira Gandhi assassination case. There are miniature models of various courts around the country, along with royal seals and several other interesting objects. Photography isn't allowed inside the museum. Outside the museum you will find lockers where you can keep your bags. Do carry a photo ID proof when visiting this museum.

One of a kind museum of legal importance reflecting judicial history of india and it's proliferation and evolution into its recent form. Starting from Harrapan Civilization. It navigates the spectators to the rock edicts of the Maurya empire and farmans of Mugal emperors to the grants of British Raj. Positive points : 1. Clean and well metained. 2. Less crowded than the most tourist places.

Though its very educational and the best place to go to as a law student who dreams to practice in sc one day, its quite boring for the lay persons. It has the copies of the high profile and most important cases and constitutional articles that are remarkable in some way like the Indira Gandhi assassination case ot the declaration of emergency. The wigs and chairs of important judges are also there. Paintings and pictures are common. Furniture is also to be seen. So its pretty educational and normal to see.
