Deer Park in Hauz Khas is a treat for photographers, has pretty sunsets, a variety of birds you can spot and (if you’re lucky) some glimpses of deer. Its pretty gardens and the Hauz Khas Lake are also worth mentioning. If you’re into photography, the sunset at Deer Park is definitely something you ought to capture on camera. The park is green and serene and is especially pleasant towards the end of the day – don’t go after dark though, it gets a lot less safe. Bear in mind, it’s also massive and can take close to two hours to explore entirely. If you go in the day, it’s got a lot of stuff to photograph, like the deers, different species of birds including peacocks, the rose garden, and of course, those sunsets we mentioned. If you’re looking for a fun, family picnic spot (in better weather), you’ve found your Mecca. The park is pretty well-maintained, and it’s nice to have a slice of nature in the middle of the concrete jungle. You can head over to the famous Hauz Khas lake to feed the ducks, or to the informal skating rink with your friends. If nothing else, just go with a book and sit in one the gazebos and enjoy a quiet read (again, save these plans for sweater weather). This Park is Perfect For Sunsets, Skating & Long Walks

The deer park seems great, with the lake ahead just adds to the beauty of the place. I would suggest this lace is best suits for joggings, walking , picnic, family, friends & kids-friendly.Deers were protected at the center of the park. Some peacock also seen freely around. No entry fee. Car & bike parking also available. Felt chill at this hot weather in this park. Place like this at the center of city is really breath taking.

1.Parking: Ample parking space but they charge without any receipt for two hours I paid INR 100 and board say 20/hr. They say that everything is online so no receipt :). 2. But entry to entire park is free and park is too big. Excellent for a days picnic with forts, deer park, big lake with ducks, rabbit, peacocks. 3. Seating benches are limited but if you are in days picnic you do not need them. 4. Central Lake is big and walk around is awesome...but some poor upkeep is down side. 5. Great crowd from all the walks.

The park is huge, good for a walk or picnic but if you are heading here to show your kids the deer and other animals, be prepared for disappointment. The entire deer area is covered and cordoned off, with a small area from where you can peek inside to see them. Same is for the rabbits and guinea pigs. The lake area has a lot of ducks that you can see from far, there are lots of monkeys and lots and lots of bats on the trees above. There is no map inside so here are some points 1. From the entrance take a right to see the rabbits and guinea pigs 2. Then walk back on the main path all the way to the end you will find the deer and some peacocks 3. From the entrance if you take a left you will head towards the lake where you can spot the ducks, monkeys and bats. Play area is opposite the deer towards the end.

If want to go to a zoo but don't like to pay for ticket, and also like to enjoy the place, what are you waiting for, do visit dear park. There are gym equipments Old structure's Dears Bats(you'll get to know about them after you listen there voice, picture is below ) Monkeys (be aware of that, they will steal your cold drink and other eating stuffs, so do not try to bother them, be gentle ) And other animals If you have girlfriend then it's a good area to visit (if you don't have girlfriend, then go with friends 😂) From fitness view, this park is to long, you'll defiantly wet. so be with water, thrust will come after that (riming 😎😂) Diffrent kind of trees, a full view of nature (made by human 😅) If you are single (you'll get jealous to other's, as I was when I was there ) There are many toilet's, so don't worry about them. Cleanliness is on it's peak (4 star for that ) As it's a park, you can play game's as well Do visit ones or twice from my side, you'll not regret for that area No ticket charges Be gentle again. Timings are 5am to 8pm Nearest metro - Hauz khas, munirka Nearest bus stand - Jia Sarai

Today was the first time when I went to deer park. Actually It was a humble experience. It's a huge ground even from nehru park. You can play cricket football badminton , do yoga and even can bring your dogs to the park. There's a community in the park where all the dog owners let their dog to interact with each other. You would definitely love it! Additionally there are ducks in the lake that is situated in the middle of the park. You can feed them with some eatables too. But don't try to go there at off hours as there is constantly patrolling done by the Delhi police. And be aware of the monkeys. Rest is all fine.

Big Park with a lot of deer inside special area. Good place for kids to see a lot deer in the herd. The park could use some maintenance and improvement in some area, considering this park have big space for people to see live deer and peacock, space to do jogging or playing badminton and also for kids to play. Some inside drink/food stall also can make this park more lively and become a must visit place for a lot of people. Big parking space across the entry gate, just need to maintain dicipline for public transport not to standby and closing half of the road.

Lush green, sprawling across a huge area, Deer Park, Hauz Khas is one of the most popular outdoor spaces in South Delhi. Whether it’s about your morning/evening jogging, outdoor stretching, or outdoor time for your kids - Deer Park meets all the needs. And some things about the park are unique. For example, you could get your yoga mat and practice some yoga peacefully, on lush green grass lawn, amid the sound of bird chirping. And that’s not all: there’s a well-designed skating zone, exercise equipment, fountain—and not to mention, a lot of well-place park benches.

Nice, huge, Green and neat park. a great place for fitness lovers, people come for jogging here in huge numbers. A bit crowded on the weekend. Deers in delhi can be seen in this park. There’s a lake which is needed to be maintained. Other then that its just perfect 👌🏻

One of the best open parks in Delhi where you can come, relax, look at all the deer in an open enclosure, along with a whole lot of other fauna and flora too. It is extremely quiet and so peaceful inside the park. You cannot tell there's a bustling city just outside the premises. If you're in Delhi & want to go visit a really different and beautiful park in the heart of this city, do visit Deer Park.

I was actually actually at the green park for an interview which was not up to mark and I was sad. On returning back to the metro station, it comes in between so I decided to do a visit here. You can easily see deer 🦌 and peacocks 🦚 here roaming freely, and it is a eye-catching experience to see them in front of you in a metro city like delhi. Overall it was good and one can make a visit there once.

It is a big DDA park. At one end there is a lake and at the other end there are deer. You may be able to see some peacocks. There are a lot of bats also. I have never seen so many of them in one place. You can plan a picnic there. Foods are allowed but not cooking. Well maintained place. People go for morning and evening walks. Pets are also allowed. Restrooms, some sitting places and a gym( some equipment) are also available.

Deer Park in Hauz Khas is a true urban oasis that offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. This serene and picturesque park is a hidden gem in South Delhi, and it's not just the resident deer that make it special. Here are a few reasons why Deer Park deserves a positive review: Natural Beauty: The park is beautifully landscaped with lush greenery, serene water bodies, and well-maintained walking trails. It's a perfect place to unwind and connect with nature. Wildlife Encounter: Of course, the star attractions are the resident deer that roam freely within a dedicated enclosure. Visitors can observe these gentle creatures up close, making it a unique experience in the heart of the city. Variety of Flora and Fauna: Deer Park is not just about deer. It's home to various species of birds, rabbits, peacocks, and more. Birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts will have a field day spotting the local wildlife. Relaxing Atmosphere: Whether you're looking for a peaceful place to read a book, meditate, or have a picnic with family and friends, Deer Park offers a calm and relaxing environment. Historical Significance: The park is also adjacent to the historic Hauz Khas complex, which adds a layer of cultural richness to the visit. You can explore ancient monuments, tombs, and a water tank while in the area. Accessibility: Located in the heart of South Delhi, Deer Park is easily accessible and has ample parking facilities, making it a convenient destination for locals and tourists alike. Pet-Friendly: If you have a furry friend, you'll be happy to know that Deer Park is one of the few places in Delhi where pets are allowed. It's a great spot for dog owners to take their four-legged companions for a stroll. In conclusion, Deer Park in Hauz Khas is a serene and picturesque urban park that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, wildlife encounters, historical significance, and relaxation. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a tranquil escape in the heart of the city.

Great place to visit with friends, family and kid's. There is big cage full with rabbits and hamsters near to the entry gate. Kids love this park as they can get really close to rabbits and hamsters. People also feed vegitables to these rodents. The deer section is covered and doesn't have clear access to see the deers. The main attraction here is the lake, its a huge park and lake is in centre of it there is walk way around the lake where people walk and observe the beauty of this park. Thousands of bats also can be seen hanging on the trees. Parking is available.

This is the second time I have visited this place and explored even more. I have some points to mention : - Don't confuse on which is the main park to enter from the map, just write entry to deer park hauz khas and you can visit from there very easy to find - On the gate you can see some tea stalls and can take a cup with you inside - After entering there are several places you can visit like just after entering, on the left hand side the road will take you to Lake I guess and the next road will take you to deer and peacock park - Once you saw the lake, must take a complete round of the lake to fully enjoy it, I mean definitely visit the whole lake I missed it on my first trip that's why I am suggesting. - About 1 hr is enough to enjoy there and head straight to Hauz khas fort which is just few steps or 5-10 min away.

One of my favourite places to visit, big and peaceful environment away from the noise. Very big with lush greenery and a variety of animals can also be seen like peacock 🦚, monkeys, deer, bats, ducks, dogs, and many more kinds of birds and mammals. I just come here when I need a break from life and get in touch with myself to remind myself to take it slow. It is also a very good place to go for a walk with your loved ones. You can play around a little then look at the animals and birds then you also get a really beautiful view of the sunset, the sun as it sets on the beautiful lake inside the deer park it just looks marvelous. But please don't throw garbage around the park , as I have seen many people just come and litter the beautiful place , please don't do it please be a little more responsible.

The Hauz Khas Village remains open from Monday to Saturday from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM. The restaurant and pubs remain open till 1:00 AM in the night. However, you will spot police and PCR van patrolling the Hauz Khas Village after 12:30 PM to maintain security. An affluent neighbourhood in South Delhi, Hauz Khas has been well known since medieval times. Hauz Khas Village retains the old charm of the place with remnants of Islamic architecture roughly coloured by splotches of urbane refurbished upmarket. 'HKV' is known for its electric nightlife with countless cafes, bars and pubs along with art galleries, and boutiques. Hauz Khas fort is located in the middle of HKV with a reservoir and a well-maintained park with walkways. The area is dotted with domed structures which are tombs of royalties during the 14th to 16th century. The tomb of Feroz Shah Tughlak, a renowned ruler of the Tughlak dynasty, is at the end of the road.

Biodiversity park, lakes, flora and fauna. There is no entry fee to visit deer park. It is free.Biodiversity park, lakes, flora and fauna. There is no entry fee to visit deer park. It is free of cost.It follows the sunrise to sunset timings. During summers, it is open from 05, – 20hours and in winter the place is open from 0530 – 1900 hours. The entire place can be thoroughly visited in a span of 3-4 hours. Popularly referred to as the “lungs of Delhi”, it is a green respite from all the hustle and bustle of the city. It is a haven for the bored city dwellers who want to take a sigh of clean fresh air. Amongst all the congested city life of Delhi, the deer park is one amongst the few green zones which the people can still enjoy and cherish. The sight of bountiful vegetation and shimmering lake will incite a sense of positivity and happiness around you! It is one of those places which your children will definitely ask you to take them there again! There are wonderful types of birds like the rose-ringed parakeet and the rarer barbet. The colorful sights will keep the kids engaged in a beautiful natural world.

It's a nice place to visit in day or evening till evening 8 ....you can visit it for free, it's just opposite to the barriers or car parking, center of attraction there is a lake inside where 🦆 are there. A good place for childrens and adults too for exercise even.Famous For: Biodiversity park, lakes, flora and fauna. Entrance Fee: There is no entry fee to visit deer park. It is free of cost. Visiting Time: It follows the sunrise to sunset timings. During summers, it is open from 0500 – 2000 hours and in winter the place is open from 0530 – 1900 hours. Visiting Duration: The entire place can be thoroughly visited in a span of 3-4 hours.

It is an amazing place to visit with your family. Best time is the autumn and spring season. You will find lots of deer here but they are in their premises. A huge park for a wonderful family outing. The lake here is an attractive place to sit and relax. If you are looking for places to visit with family and have a calm time I'd suggest you to come here.

Lush green, sprawling across a huge area, Deer Park, Hauz Khas is one of the most popular outdoor spaces in South Delhi. It is the heaven for photographers. I saw may peacock and peahen here. There is no entry fee And that’s not all: there’s a well-designed skating zone, exercise equipment, fountain—and not to mention, a lot of well-place park benches. Nice place to visit again and again.

Quite a lot of Bats can be seen hanging from the trees too. If you are interested in exercise and jogging you are at the right park. Many open gyms and spaces are available. Deer Park is a park located in south Delhi, which is one of Delhi's main parks. Deer Park is also known by the name A. N. Jha. The name of this park was named after the famous social worker Aditya Nath Jha. Deer Park is located in Hauz Khas Delhi. The park is popular for yoga, jogging on morning, and it's also famous for picnic. There is also a large lake inside Deer Park. The maintenance works of Deer Park is done by the Delhi Development authority. The park is placed approximately 60 acres of land. There are different places and instructions for spending in the park. This is called Deer Park because it has actually large number of deer inside the park. If you’re into photography, the moments at Deer Park is definitely something you ought to capture on camera. The park is verdant green and serene and is especially pleasant towards the end of the day , but don’t go after dark though, it gets a lot less safe. Bear in mind, it’s also massive and can take close to two hours to explore entirely. If you go in the day, it’s got a lot of stuff to capture on clicks, like the deers, different species of birds including peacocks, the rose garden, and of course, those sunsets. The park is pretty well-maintained, and it’s nice to have a slice of nature in the middle of the concrete jungle. Due to nearby duck park, art market, rabbit fields, fountain, lake and an enclosed old heritage monument area, the park is a common favourite and a respite among Delhites looking for a break from the pollution dust nd stressful life of the city. Entry fee is Zero. Nd timings are from sunrise to sunset.

You will find a monument called Bagh-i-Alam ka Gumbad which is under the care of Archaeological survey of India (doesn't look like it is if I see the condition). The entry is free in comparison to the parking which charges Rs.100 entry and Rs20/hr. Then there are some exercise machines and slides & swings for children (not in good condition). Not much to see here.

Deer Park has pedestrian gates opening towards Green Park main market, Haus Khas village, R.K Khanna Stadium(through to district park), Deer park main gate and District Park (interconnected, main gate).

Good place to hang around with family and friends. Equally nice place for the couples, who likes to romance in the midst of the nature. One minus point is that the park has to be maintained properly; it needs a fresh haul-up. Many stray dogs are found loitering inside the park. The authority concerned must make the park 'stray-dogs-free' place - to remove any possibility of occurrence of diseases due to the presence of the stray dogs, and to eliminate the fear of dog bites.

Best place for relaxing, walking and morning & evening jogging. Lush greenery and wonderful lake with ducks. You can explore each and every corner itself and have ancient and historic tomb in between deer park and district lake.

Deer Park is also known as Aditya Nath Jha park. It is situated at a distance of 12 km from the airport and 4.5 km from Qutub Minar. Dear Park is home to many deers that have been put inside a large enclosure in order to preserve biodiversity.

Good park with lots of benches to sit & relax. Lake is pretty clean as there is no odor of water that we usually can smell near ponds or lakes. Public toilets are no good here.

A nice 2~3 hours can be spent well here. Located at Hauz Khas and close to Green Park. Best place for family. Has a few monuments inside, a circular lake, an encaged Deer and Rabbit habitat, kids play area and lots of plain ground if you wish to play football/cricket/badminton etc. You can even find ducks and swans freely roaming in the lake vicinity. Entry is free.

A beautiful park in the Hauz khas village with plenty of flora fauna around the lake and deer park. Ample spaces for Jogging, pet walk, or to stroll around bagh-i-alam and hauz khas fort. Recommended for quality morning/evening time.

This park is very close to my place so I generally go for morning and evening walk. It is always relaxing to visit here. Good place for the people who are close to nature. Park needs more maintenance, as the water in the lake is stinking which isn't good for the ducks living in there. There is a lot of space for the kids to play around in the park.its a very good and big park

Very nice place to hang out with your loved ones and enjoy the nature. One of the best park in Delhi with lot of trees. You will feel like as in you are in the Jungle.

Awesome place to love life. There are swings for kids and open Jim for adults. Delhi should have been half forest and half dwellings. The show off business and Greed for money is making us loose culture and values, the green areas and importantly life.

  • 5/5 Mouchi purple B. 2 years ago on Google
Totally loved it. Played with football. Sat on a mat for hours. Wandered in the woods knowing we were lost, felt great! Had some snacks from vendors outside. From Hauz Khas Metro & Green Park Metro it's 15-min and ₹20/- per person.

Nice place amidst lush greeneries. Many outsiders other than local Delhi ans wouldn't come to know about this place. You can arrange family picnic with snacks or lunch. Full of empty space to sit and rest. Area is also neat and clean. One pond is available. Friends can hang out. Business discussions can be done. But mostly used by lovers now. No entrance fee. Kids play area available. Car parking available. Open area for kids to play. Deer is available.

Such a peaceful place in between the busiest city. The park is well maintained and clean. Even you can have glimpse of deers behind the fence. A good place for a picnic or chilling in the shade.

  • 5/5 Thimmarayappagari Raja S. 1 year ago on Google
Loved it. Very very good ambience. For morning walk it's the perfect and peaceful. We can see plenty of bird types freely flying and making sounds in the park. The main attraction is peacocks where they move freely entire park and make us blissful. Then I come to deers, they are looking so good, their horns are just awesome I couldn't distract my eyes. But felt it was better if they would have freed them to on their own. Overall my experience is awesome And I rate 4/5 for this place. For cleanliness I give 4.5/5 👍 Well maintained and protected. And main thing is it's completely free to enter the park and enjoy it's ambience. Don't forget to visit hazh khas fort nearby about 500m. It was also good. Hit the like if like the review 👍

The DDA's management of the lake is an example of gross incompetence and the waste of crores of public money. For more than a decade they wasted crores on adding bioenzymes, algae fertiliser, lime and bacteria. They gave almost 50 lakhs to dda contractor to Kalpana Arora and she added algae fertiliser containing three heavy metals and nitrogen, the rest of the world is trying to remove fertiliser from lakes and DDA pays people to add it back. PC Hort Rajeev Tiwari is directly responsible for this waste of money and the pollution of this lake and for destruction of wetlands built by citizens to clean the lake. He is also guilty of promoting fake science called Cownomics which does nothing to clean up lakes and actually kills fish, He has wasted 30 lakhs on this due to his ignorance and incompetence. Or he has some other reason for issuing tenders for nonsense. Park Manager Subash is also guilty of causing the pollution of the lake and failed to inform his superiors of the negative effect the chemicals being added had. SO Suman Chadha also failed to inform her superiors and actually claimed it helped and suggested Kalpana Arora be hired after the engineering department had stopped her working the year before due to the pollution she caused through her incompetence. Totally incompetent horticulture department led by PC (Hort) Rajeev Tiwari. The DDA is guilty of polluting Delhi's lakes in the name of cleaning them for more than a decade. These incompetent scientifically illiterate fake public servants do not serve our country and only serve themselves, They are a disgrace to our city and country and we demand their resignation after they have refunded the public the crores they have wasted and handed over to contractors who make at least 50% profit. Who are the real anti nationals who hold back the development of Delhi so they can issue tenders for eternity?

Well managed park, and a must visit place for nature loving people living in a crowded city like Delhi to have a calm holiday. Few improvements required in infrastructure. Updated information about whole park is missing too.
