While
this
hotel
is
lovely
as
a
whole,
do
yourself
a
favor
and
AVOID
THIS
BAR.
Firstly,
as
can
be
expected
with
a
higher-end
bar
like
this,
prices
are
not
listed
on
the
menu
and
it
is
expensive
even
by
American
standards.
They
advertised
a
happy
hour
throughout
the
hotwl,
but
when
we
arrived
withing
that
time
frame
we
were
told
there
wasn't
one.
It
cost
us
3500
rupees
(about
$40
USD
in
2024)
for
TWO
DRINKS,
in
India!!!
We
could
not
believe
it.
To
top
that
off,
when
we
returned
to
our
room
we
discovered
that
it
is
literally
half
the
price
to
order
the
same
cocktails
from
room
service.
That
said,
we
would
have
been
considerably
more
accepting
of
the
prices
had
the
cocktails
been
good.
Not
so.
We
ordered
a
negroni
and
a
dirty
gin
martini...
the
bartender
made
the
neurons
first,
then
let
it
sit
for
about
10
minutes
while
it
looked
like
he
and
his
colleagues
were
trying
to
discern
how
best
to
make
the
martini
(one
of
the
most
basic
and
classic
cocktails.
In
the
end,
the
neurons
was
so
watered
down
from
sitting
with
melting
ice
that
it
barely
had
any
taste,
and
the
dirty
gin
martini
was
both
off-balanced
and
served
with
a
lemon
slice
submerged
in
it
(in
a
dirty
martini...?).
Such
a
disappointing
experience.
