Ordered Dosa and fried mini idlis from here and the sambhar had a bee floating in it even the smell of oil in the dosa was very odd.

There are very few south indian restaurants in delhi that have the essence of real south indian food. This restaurant is one of them, such authentic south indian food, absolutely love the food and service. Keep up the good food and flavor !

It was a great experience to be at Ammabhavan, Amar Colony in New Delhi. Being a South Indian and tasting typical South Indian delicacy at the North Indian city of New Delhi was amazing. I am a foodie myself, and tasting authentic South Indian food was a treat to my taste buds. The Masala Dosa, Sambar and the chutney served took me back to the memories of my mother’s , nay my Amma’s kitchen! Wow!! And the vada...crispy and golden coloured stuff with soft inner ....a treat indeed! Apart from those mouth watering dishes were the absolutely courteous service! Kudos to the Promoter Praveen and his brilliant team for their dedicated efforts. I definitely urge my friends to visit Ammabhavan and savour the authentic South Indian fare. Wishing Ammabhavan grand success.

I had masala dosa here and it's tastier than any dosa shops in this area. Price is also u see budget. The only issue I could see in summer is absence of AC and due to the seating space on sort of road side dust is an issue. Else I would recommend this place to order for home delivery and you can enjoy very tasty South Indian food 😊

If you are in the look out for some of the authentic south of vindhya flavors, this place is a MUST Try. Not all Dosas are the same neither are Sambhars, Chutneys and Idly. The ones I had at Amma Bhavan was certainly unique in its flavors, the freshness of the ingredients and the spices was telling in the tangy Sambhar, Malala Dosa and the Vada I was served on my visit there. Amma Bhawan has the feel of what home cooking in the south is all about. Try it out. You will have a culinary story to tell as well. Thanks are in order to the friendly staff who effuse the warmth of southern. Hospitality. A must try if you are in the neighborhood and even worth some hike to get there!!
