Here's All About Gyarah Murti, A Massive & Glistening Black Sculpture In The Heart Of The City The massive, glistening black sculpture depicting Gandhi’s iconic Dandi March of 1931 stands proudly in the heart of the city, easily visible on the Sardar Patel Marg, near Willingdon Crescent. This poetic sculpture by veteran artist and sculptor Devi Prasad Roy Chowdhury shows ten Indian people following Gandhi on his path-breaking Civil Disobedience protest, hence the name - 'Gyarah Murti'.

Ah, I see! In Delhi, there is a prominent statue of Mahatma Gandhi known as the Gandhi Smriti. It is located at the spot where Mahatma Gandhi spent the last 144 days of his life and was assassinated. The Gandhi Smriti is a memorial museum that pays tribute to the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. Visitors can explore the various exhibits that showcase his personal belongings, photographs, and documents highlighting his role in India's freedom struggle and his philosophy of non-violence. The statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the Gandhi Smriti serves as a reminder of his immense contributions to the nation and his message of peace and harmony. It stands as a symbol of inspiration for visitors to reflect upon his principles and strive for a better society. Visiting the Gandhi Smriti and seeing the statue of Mahatma Gandhi is a powerful experience that allows one to connect with the legacy of this great leader and gain a deeper understanding of his ideals. In conclusion, the Gandhi Smriti in Delhi houses a statue of Mahatma Gandhi and serves as a memorial museum dedicated to his life and teachings. It is a place of reverence and reflection, inviting visitors to learn from his wisdom and embrace the values he stood for.

Visiting the Gandhi March Statue in Delhi was a truly memorable experience. As an admirer of Mahatma Gandhi and his principles of non-violence and peaceful resistance, this statue holds significant importance for me. Here's my realistic view of this iconic monument: The first thing that struck me upon arrival was the sheer size and grandeur of the statue. Standing tall in the heart of Delhi, the Gandhi March Statue commands attention and immediately evokes a sense of reverence. The attention to detail in the sculpture is remarkable, capturing Gandhi's likeness with precision and authenticity. The location of the statue is another noteworthy aspect. Situated in a serene park, the ambiance around the monument is tranquil and conducive to reflection. It provides a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, allowing visitors to contemplate Gandhi's teachings and their relevance in today's world. One of the highlights of the statue is the portrayal of Gandhi leading the Salt March. The depiction beautifully captures the spirit of the historic event, which played a pivotal role in India's struggle for independence. It serves as a powerful reminder of the power of peaceful protest and civil disobedience, principles that continue to resonate with people across the globe. The only aspect that could be improved is the maintenance of the surroundings. While the statue itself is well-maintained, the park could benefit from regular cleaning and upkeep. Additionally, providing more information about the history and significance of the statue through plaques or interactive displays would greatly enhance the overall experience for visitors. Despite these minor shortcomings, the Gandhi March Statue is undoubtedly a must-visit attraction for anyone interested in Indian history and the life of Mahatma Gandhi. It serves as a constant reminder of the enduring legacy of a man who dedicated his life to the pursuit of justice, equality, and peace. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the Gandhi March Statue in Delhi. It is not only a tribute to a great leader but also a symbol of hope and inspiration for future generations.

Gandhi March Statue also known as "Gyarah Murti" is one of the famous historic landmarks in Delhi. It's very iconic indian sculpture which also replicated in several places in the country. It's one the most famous tourist attraction in Delhi NCR. It also depicts on the back of old ₹500 Indian currency, which is now demonetised. This is a great piece of architectural creativity. The whole sculpture is surrounded by beautiful and elegant faunas.

The best statue in the Lutyens zone and Delhi. A must visit to respect and remember the great sacrifices and actions of our freedom fighters. The statue depicts the very morals of social integrity , harmony , helping each other and persistence. Try to visit the statue by 4:45pm so you could see the monument with and without lighting and fountain. We took cycle from the smart cycle stand next to Udyog Bhavan which seems to be one of the best options to look and feel the Lutyens if you are not on your personal conveyance.

I was so excited to see this sculpture, my mom once told about this Dandi March statue in my childhood. A great representation of Dandi March 24-day march lasted from 12 March 1930 to 5 April 1930 as a direct action campaign of tax resistance and nonviolent protest against the British salt monopoly. Gandhi started this march with 78 of his trusted volunteers. The march spanned 220 miles (350 km), from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi, which was called Navsari at that time (now in the state of Gujarat). Growing numbers of Indians joined them along the way. When Gandhi broke the British Raj salt laws at 6:30 am on 6 April 1930, it sparked large scale acts of civil disobedience against the salt laws by millions of Indians. No parking place available and we cannot stop our vehicles. 5-10 minutes is enough to take photos and visit this place.

The Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum in New Delhi, India, has received positive comments for its dedication to preserving the life and legacy of India's first female Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. Visitors appreciate the historical exhibits, photographs, and personal artifacts that provide insights into her political career and the tumultuous times in which she lived. The museum's tranquil garden, which was the site of her assassination, serves as a poignant reminder of her sacrifice for the nation. Many visitors find it to be an informative and moving tribute to a significant figure in Indian history.

It's the perfect checkpoint while cycling anywhere into North/Central/South Delhi. Although traffic in the evening is thick, it's worth going by if you're headed into any of these areas as it lights but beautifully.

The place provides a historical ambiance. The area is with tight security. No parking space is available, and need to park vehicle somewhere else. Very near to road and easily visible if we are sitting in a vehicle. According to me it is one of the must visit place in Delhi.

Lush green area with tight security around the area. One things is confusing that the Army personnel doesn't let you park your cycle at the front of the statue on the pavement. The board there says that one must not enter into the grassy area however on the pavement there is no such information. Morning sightseeing, weather and all the things were good

Its a good place but not maintained on regular basis. The officials should work on cleanness around this place. Statues should be painted. All other thing is fine this place has different value.
