Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani) is a private deemed university. It focuses primarily on higher education and research in engineering and sciences. Also, the campus life of any BITSian is far more relaxed than many of the other Private institutes of India. College strength is small, merely 4000. Overall, the Students studying here would be among the best brains of the country and also in competitive frame of mind throughout their education which I feel is the backbone to excel in any field.

For any local hailing from Pilani, the response they get from an outsider is always...... acha, BITS-Pilani vala Pilani. meaning, you belong to that Pilani of BITS-Pilani. But, before Google Maps happened, reaching Pilani itself used to be a bit struggle. Limited buses from Delhi and rail connectivity to Loharu only, made it quite tricky for new comers to even find this place. Roadways used to run special buses from Delhi to support the rush of semester start or end. BITS is a tier1 college in India and the word of its greatness is spread across the globe. The alumni of BITS are great achievers in various fields and some are quite famous personalities. The campus of BITS is a whole city in itself. It has each and every facility that you could think of.... School, Hopsital, Super market, Bank, Post Office, Temples, NCC, Cafes, Snack shops, Dairy, Glider airstrip and many more. Basically, Birla ji established BITS campus with a vision of providing all those facilities to students, which were not possible in the older years of Pilani towhnship. The Saraswati Temple and Science Museum are some architectural and technological marvels, that attracts thousands of tourists. Student Fests, Apogee, BOSM, Oasis, are top-ranking events, comparable at the level of few IITs and IIMs. An outstanding institution setup by the great visionary G.D. Birla ji, pioneering in different fields of graduation, post-graduation & doctoral studies. Getting admission into BITS is quite tough, with BITSAT being equivalent to JEE level. A must visit place atleast once, if not for studies.

I personally feel my college gives a wode range of opportunities to each and everyone who want to achieve something in their feild of intrest whatever it may be academics of extra ciricullar activities Fee Structure And Facilities The only drawback I feel about the college is fee structure. The fee is quite large amount. A student need to pay around 3.2 lakhs of tution fee and a fee of 80 thousand for hostel and food if one is doesn't get any scholarship and this structure keep changing. Placement Wing 10/10 Placement scenario is also very good.Being one of the tier-A college in India the average package ranges between 14 lakhs and 16 lakhs.The highest package usually crosses one crore and most probably there will be 100% placements Hostel Facilities 10/10 I currently live in a hostel. I'm a sophomore and I could opt for a single occupancy room or a double occupancy. I've opted for a double occupancy room.It has a very good infrastructure. They give you a cot a table a chair a white board etc. Alumni My college has extra ordinary alumni network. Alumni are very helping and are always constantly helping to take the college forward. Alumni meets/reunion take place very frequently and they guide you about the life outside and after bits. Faculty 10/10 The faculty is very good.Everyone has completed their Ph.D and are very passionate about teaching. Our college is one of the best colleges for faculty in India if you want to carry forward your reasearch work. Campus Life 10/10 My college has a very good infrastructure and advanced sports facilities and laboratories. We get a lot of free time to develope our skills in a sport that we used to play or even their are handfull of opportunities to learn a new sport/music instrument etc. Course Curriculum Overview 10/10 The course curriculum is very flexible and you have a freedom to make your own timetable and opt for the courses of your choice which no other college in India provides.But there are a lot of exams that you have to write and the institute is very keen about transparency of exams. College Events 10/10 There are many events that occur in my college. There are three fests we celebrate every year.they are BOSM(sports fest) OASIS(cultural fest) APOGEE(technical fest).Among the three oasis being the second largest cultual fest is celebrated on a high scale.Apart from these there are many events that go through out the year Loan/ Scholarship Provisions My college gives scholarships on two criteria.The first one is Merit and the other one is Merit cum need scholarship. Out of the two if you need to avail the first one there is CGPA cutoff of about 9.7 and to avail the second one there is a CGPA cutoff of 6.1 and annual income cutoff of 10 LPA.

Beautiful institute.The ambience is conducive to not only academic growth but also towards a total improvement of self.Facilities are commendable but all within a certain discipline. However, with all its plus points, connectivity should be improved.It is a task to reach the institute.

I have been there for a conference, and the hospitality was wonderful. The food offered to us were very good, the cultural event was wonderful. And yea, last but not the least campus was truly amazing. Only one thing I can't ignore that is- it is very difficult to reach there from outside, means the nearest railway station is Loharu, but it will take more than 1 hour from station to campus because of transportation. From Jaipur or Delhi it will take 6-7 hours to reach the campus. Except this, the overall experience is mesmerizing.

Best technology Institute of India in private segment. Only cons for this inst is its fees. Rest every aspects is not only good but best in comparision with core (generation one) IITs. Professors better than the best, Alumni Network best, infra (labs, workshop etc) - best, placements best. Each and every aspects is better than best except fees.

Very scenic and natural campus but management needs improvement in terms of education

Amazing ambiance and full of youthfulness. Food is average and hardly i could ever suggest to any non vegetarian. Infrastructure is good but still lots needed to be done like wheelchair accessibility and road directions with in the campus. Great sports infrastructure and very peaceful campus life.
