A great place for art lovers for experience and enjoy various artworks at display. This is one of the most prestigious galleries of India and gives space to eminent as well as budding artists. Very spacious and well managed. Washrooms on floors. Amazing artworks displayed mostly but not so good artworks find spaces here as well.

A perfect ambience for an art gallery. Well focused lights on well spaced out and neatly arranged frames. We spent more than an hour here taking time to sink in every depth and details. A great experience knowing the kinds of arts and photography the country is into.

three exhibition areas dedicated to performing arts and fine arts. Normally the contemporary arts galleries have 8 artists on display for 1-2 weeks long. They provide awards and artists studios

If you love art , this is the place for you. Lalit Kala Akademi a public gallery so they exhibit all levels aof artists which is great cos you get to see such a wide variety of styles and craftsmanship. The halls are big enough to hold an exhibition but cosy enough to give a personalized experience. What is more interesting is the little gallery on the top of the terrace which makes it feel like an artist's studio.. lighting is great, with the corridor gallery having one side open to the garden beyond really giving a radiant glow to this space.

As is clear by the name itself, it is a place which showcases fine arts/visual arts; located in Mandi house, Delhi. Apart from showcasing a permanent document collection of contemporary, modern, folk and tribal art in India; It conducts regular exhibitions, workshops, camps lectures, retrospectives shows and many other art activities of unparalleled significance. Recently they conducted the successful exhibit of cenetenary showcase from Visva-Bharati University, Shantiniketan. It is wonderful place to visit if you hold even the slightest interest in visual and fine arts.

I knew artists who held their exhibition there in the past so I gotta say I had proper guidance. Even so, the whole campus is very pleasant and the exhibitions we saw on our visit were truly a wonderful experience... There's always so much one can learn from art if you have insight. It's a brilliant way to spend time. If in the area I would advise you to visit the nearby art galleries as well, there's always something going on. Try Triveni Sangam for example.

Lalit Kala Academy is a unique place situated in the heart of the Capital of India. This place has been the guardian of various forms of Arts. The people seeking for the purest and refined form of Visual art as well as Performing art can come here. Inside the Lalit Kala Academy there is Sangeet Natak Academy and the prestigious Meghdoot theater. Also there is a Library inside the campus where a large range of quality books authored by reputed writers are available. The Lalit Kala Academy also hosts various exhibitions of art forms and other topics. The nearest station of Delhi Metro is Mandi House from where the Lalit Kala Academy is just 5 minutes walk away. Various art pieces of wood, stone and metals have been placed inside the campus. The time spent here is a good investment.

Feels fresh and cheerful after visiting the art gallery. They keep updating the place with new artworks and have been active after COVID. The guard is kind and helps you out with directions. What can be improved is giving a tour guide or a walk through the gallery every once in a while. They can also add abstracts/notes related to artwork in a few places. There are nearby places to eat and explore like Bengali Market, Triveni Kala Sangam.

I had gone with lot of anticipation but was hugely disappointed at the entrance itself. A pot bellied unshaven guard with a mobile in his hand was slumped over a chair. I shouted at him to atleast stand guard or look at any intruder. There was no one to guide you to any exhibits. I am 80+ & had gone with lot of anticipation. Aarti means vibrancy & life, whole experience was lifeless. There was Madona in Dark Room by Rukeya Hussain of Bangla DeShawn. It was very nice display. However, a friendly/smiling HUMAN BEING would have added to experience. I strongly recommend to Director/Chairman to intervene. Kindly make it more patron/friendly. It is NOT criticism but laments of a genuine art lover. My last visit to Lalit Kala Acedemy was on the occasion of 150th Anniversary of Tagore Babu with my Grand Daughter, was mesmerized by Manipuri dances & elegance presence of Late President Pranab Mukherjee
