One of the hidden gems in this city that was an absolute delight to explore. Recommended route - head from West/North, switch on Google Maps and take the route it shows. You'll end up in a park eventually, cross the gate and keep walking towards the location. In the middle, there'll be a lake view point bridge, beaut point for photos. Move on outside, cross the fence and enter Satpula via the main gate. It's accessible to all and you can get great clicks from the bastion's top and the dam bridge itself.

Satpula is a remarkable ancient water harvesting dam or weir located about 800 m. east of the Khirki Masjid that is integral to the compound wall of the medieval fourth city of the Jahanpanah in Delhi, with its construction credited to the reign of Sultan Muhammad Shah Tughlaq (1325–1351) of the Tughlaq Dynasty.

A nice and clean park. It has multiple spaces to do yoga and running. They also have public gym in two places within the park. There is no dust in the air and has loads of grasses to walk bare foot also.

It was an ok place but it was very crowded, I didn't have the courage to go on the fort as there were a lot of people there and we could not leave the bikes behind. The lake is nowhere to be found and people drink there, but it is a nice view

Satpula is a remarkable ancient water harvesting dam or weir located about 800 m (2,625 ft) east of the Khirki Masjid that is integral to the compound wall of the medieval fourth city of the Jahanpanah in Delhi, with its construction credited to the reign of Sultan Muhammad Shah Tughlaq (Muhammad bin Tughluq) (1325–1351) of the Tughlaq Dynasty. The objective of building the weir was for providing water for irrigation and also, as a part of the city wall, to provide defense security to the city against attacking armies. Satpula is a usage in Hindi languages, which literally means "seven bridges".

  • 2/5 Sshabnam K. 1 year ago on Google
This place is good because you can take your furries for a walk however this place is also filled with goons, teenage boys taking joints, charas and ganja and very high, it definitely feels unsecured and annoying so please avoid this park after 7 30 pm. This park and many other parks are in same situation where all through day fearlessly PPL smoke weed..what is heart breaking is this is just 20 feet away from Saket city court and 50 feet from select City walk mall...and police hardly catch anybody..infact even if police visit they don't go little inside to catch these goons. Is delhi police waiting for an unfortunate event to happen is my question... police should come and catch these misdemeanor boys in casual clothes becouse if they come in police uniform these PPL run in advance..

This is a huge park. Mostly crowded with senior citizens, kids playing cricket and football, people bring their pets here for a walk. Good grass, planted with huge trees and also has Satpula Dam adjacent to it which is almost 700-800yrs old.

The Satpula is a notable ancient water storage dam located about 800 meters (2,625 ft) east of the Khirki Mosque, an integral part of the compound wall of the medieval fourth city of Jahanpanah in Delhi, attributed to Muhammad Shah of the Tughlaq dynasty of the Sultanate reign Tughlaq (Muhammad bin Tughlaq) (1325-1351).

  • 5/5 ArJun P. 3 years ago on Google
Satpula literally means 'seven bridges' and is rightly named as it is built upon seven arches built by Muhammad Bin Tughlaq to tap the local stream feeding on river Yamuna, the stone masonry is distinct and the structure, well planned. Below the arches are the water tunnels which have been damaged. There is no way to go down to them unless you approach them from the grazing ground. On each end of the tunnels is a subsidiary opening. Two octagonal bastions stand at the ends of this two-storey high structure. #SatpulaBridge

Satpula is a historic structure located in Delhi, India. It's an ancient dam built during the reign of Sultan Muhammad bin Tughlaq in the 14th century. Here's a brief description: Satpula, also known as the 'Seven Arches Bridge,' is a remarkable historical monument in Delhi. This architectural marvel from the 14th century served as both a dam and a bridge during the reign of Sultan Muhammad bin Tughlaq. The structure features seven arched openings, providing a glimpse into the architectural prowess of that era. Satpula stands as a testament to Delhi's rich history and is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and architecture.

Park is decent but not maintained by DDA in now a days. There are sewage water owerflowing from the near Panchsheel Vihar flats and the animals are grooming here and there So some steps should be taken by the concern Govt. Department

Fascinating little Tughlaq era structure that is unfortunately riddled with garbage. Still, it is quite a thing to behold and has interesting little passages and openings. Getting to the dam is not exactly straightforward as the main gate from the park is closed. You enter either from a half open gate from the main road or a slight trail along the boundary wall.
