We bought 3 carpet here. 2 for us and one as a gift to go to USA. The process took some time as we were trying to be careful about what to buy because a carpet in not cheap. All was good until we send the 2 carpet to be washed back to the Carpet Cellar - it was part of the sales pitch from Mr. Bobby that they would clean the carpet for free and send them to USA. NO NO NO - this was all a misunderstanding on our part ( no it was not - we heard you loud and clear Bobby) So they cheated 200 plus dollars out of us and it is just a reminder - get all promises in writing - do not trust a word ....

I ordered a made to measure rug with this company. The manager was so friendly and seemed so professional. We agreed on a sample with specific measurements for the pattern. The rug came and there was a huge variation in quality and the pattern was grossly made and not replicated at all like in the sample. I was told that it was a normal variation (the variation was -/+ 50%!!!) as the 'worker were illiterate'. I was not offered for the rug to be remade. STAY AWAY

I love the Indo Chevron carpet I recently purchased for my Manhattan apartment. I am impressed by the quality of the craftwork and modern design. The politeness and service of the staff was impeccable and I received my shipment quickly. I plan to make future purchases from Carpet Cellar.

Excellent place to buy high quality hand made rugs. If she is available, ask for Mudita, the owner's niece. Mudita is very friendly, very helpful in short listing your choices (we saw more than 200 carpets before settling on one) and very patient. We have bought handmade rugs in many countries and from many stores; and this was our best experience!

I had a fabulous experience in Carpet Cellar because not only does it have a wonderful and extensive range of rugs and carpets to suit all tastes and budgets but Mudita understood what I was looking for - the kinds of colours and patterns that appeal to me -and this helped sort out my initial feel of being overwhelmed by the profusion of choice. They custom created two fine handknotted carpets for us and it reached us through fedex on time and is looking fabulous in our home. Loving the carpets I bought from Carpet Cellar. One for the most incredible collection you can find anywhere and some of the most exquisite designs in carpets. Been buying carpets from Carpet Cellar for years and it's the most well established, professional, reliable and extraordinary establishments that you can find.

Carpet cellar has a godown here where the stuff & variety is there. But it's a godown after all so rates should be accordingly. Surprisingly, the stuff looked old & worn with time sometimes. The rates are retail ones with good margin. If u don't know what u r buying, then it's too much for a carpet. Overall genuine & old/classic stuff.
