We
have
taken
a
single
room
in
this
hospital
for
2
nights
for
a
cancer
patient
who
is
here
for
her
mastectomy.
The
room
was
booked
for
11:30
am.
After
hounding
the
admissions
desk
for
4
hours,
we
finally
gained
access
to
the
room
at
6
pm.
When
we
got
to
the
room,
first
the
nurse,
then
the
anesthesiologist,
and
then
the
floor
doctor
came
one
after
another,
and
asked
the
patient
the
same
set
of
questions.
There
was
no
internal
coordination
between
the
team-
neither
did
they
brief
each
other,
nor
did
they
bother
to
come
at
the
same
time
so
that
the
patient
wouldn’t
be
disturbed
by
the
same
set
of
questions,
3
times
in
a
row.
We
told
the
nurse
and
the
anesthesiologist
and
the
floor
doctor
about
her
dietary
issues.
They
all
confirmed
they
would
send
the
dietician
to
the
room.
At
8
pm
she
received
her
dinner,
which
was
not
in
line
with
her
diet,
because
no
one
actually
sent
the
dietician.
For
the
dinner,
pantry
staff
had
not
followed
the
nurse’s
dietary
remarks
either.
Finally
when
I
approached
the
nursing
station,
I
was
told
the
dietician
is
no
longer
in
the
hospital
(because
our
checkin
protocol
was
happening
at
7pm
instead
of
at
12
pm,
because
they
didn’t
prepare
the
room
in
time).
Additionally,
the
admissions
desk
had
the
gall
to
tell
us
that
we
were
lucky
to
have
a
room
in
the
first
place,
because
there
was
a
waitlist
of
3
people
per
room,
essentially
telling
us,
“You
need
us,
we
don’t
need
you.”
Furthermore,
the
room
has
2
lights
that
are
connected
by
the
same
switch,
one
of
the
lights
is
right
at
the
head
of
the
patient.
So
the
attendants
need
to
sit
in
a
dark
room,
because
the
patient
who
is
sensitive
to
light,
cannot
cope
with
the
bright
light
aimed
directly
at
her
head.
The
sink
tap
does
not
have
hot
water.
The
nurses
did
not
have
Digene.
All
in
all,
a
very
unprofessionally
run
establishment.
Consider
this
hospital
for
your
treatment
only
if
all
other
hospitals
in
the
city
are
booked.
