Qutab Minar is now open till 9 pm (21:00 hours). Last entry is till 8:30 pm (20:30 hours). The same ticket (Rs 40 for Indians) is applicable. As per new rules, tourists already inside, need not come out at sunset (as was done before). By sunset lights are lit across the monument and tourists already inside as well as new tourists entering (enter by 8:30 pm) can enjoy it, till 9:00 pm

Wow. Online or QR code ticketing added, it is a good when there is so much crowd. The place has obviously a historical value. The maintenance and greenery is kept and we can spend a lot of time there photographing and enjoying. There are 2 washrooms which help stay longer. Kids love the place.

great place to hangout with family , pace is also very clean..The shape of the large remaining tower has as interesting story to it so you must go and see it! An amazing historical place I ever visited. The old ruins of the tower and old temples that were once Hindu were interesting to see. I will record the stories and will tell to my colleagues at home back. Qutub Minar is indeed an eye catching monument. It's amazing. The tall Minar stands firmly on ground and kisses the sky. It's a must visit monument. Book ticket online to enjoy hassle free entry. You can hire a government approved guide from the main entrance. After 2 hrs of sight seeing if you feel like eating something, you may enter "Qutub Restaurant", not far from Qutub Minar. Food is good there

My recent visit to Delhi's Qutub Minar was awe-inspiring. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, built in 1199 AD, stands tall with its unique red and yellow sandstone construction. Climbing its 379 stairs, you feel the history woven into each step. Renovated over time, it tells stories of emperors and heroes. The adjacent iron pillar from the fourth century adds to the charm. A must-visit for history lovers, Qutub Minar echoes Delhi's rich past

I feel, you can spend a whole day, there's so much greens and calmness here. Apart from the environment, it's always a special feeling to visit a place you have read in your history books. 😍

The called Qutub Minar Complex is certainly a destroyed Vishnu Temple. The same can be easily understood once you carefully see the architecture and the inscriptions on the walls of the complex. Although the real history of this place is never revealed fully, it doesn't take away the charm of this place. A must visit place if you are in Delhi.Children should b taken here without fail

Amazing monument. It's very well maintained. Despite the passage of time, the monument remains very beautiful. The complex is well maintained. They charge a nominal fee of Rs. 35 as entry fee. The tickets have to be purchased through online payment and the barcode generated on your phone is used as entry and exit tickets.

Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, stands as a magnificent example of Indo-Islamic architecture. The monument, a 73-meter tall tower adorned with intricate carvings, is a testament to India's rich history. Its historical significance and architectural brilliance make it a must-visit destination. One notable aspect is the meticulous maintenance of the monument. The surroundings are kept clean and hygienic, enhancing the overall visitor experience. Purchasing tickets online is a convenient option, and it is recommended to streamline the entry process. The best times to explore Qutub Minar are during the morning and evening when the weather is pleasant, and the lighting accentuates the beauty of the structure. Adequate parking facilities make it convenient for visitors arriving by private vehicles. For a hassle-free journey, using the metro is the preferred mode of transportation, with a metro station conveniently located nearby.

Such a beautiful and historical place. Must visit in Winters, along the kids to educate them about our Indian history. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, built in 1199 AD, stands tall with its unique red and yellow sandstone construction. The adjacent iron pillar from the fourth century adds to the charm. Place is equipped with ample parking, canteen and toilets. But the toilets were horrible. Use digital India (book tickets through QR code) to avoid long long ques Expect crowd here especially on Fridays and Sundays..

This is the emblem of India. By every means, it's a wonderful place. Everything here is an evidence of thousands of stories of the great Sultani era. The place is clean but with healthy crowds. But, still is a great scope of showing your photography skills. The car parking is very much spacious. It's a better idea to book your entry tickets online in advance to avoid the queue at ticket counter as well as save a few odd bucks. Don't forget to visit this place in the twilight session - it will show you how beautiful a sunset might be.

I visit this place on my first visit to Delhi. I was standing in a long line waiting for an entry ticket. When I entered, I was amazed to see such a tall tower. I kept wondering how the people of that time built this tall structure so many years ago. It is amazing to see this light tilted tower on one side. There is plenty of space around it and some more infrastructure. This is an ideal place to spend time with family or friends. I really recommend you to visit this place in Delhi.

Beautiful historic monument with amazing architecture and informative displays about India's rich cultural heritage. The intricate and beautiful architecture of the monument left me breathless. The surrounding Qutub Complex also has a rich history, with several historic tombs and other structures that provide a fascinating glimpse into India's past. The intricate carvings and designs on the walls of the various structures within the complex are stunning and offer a wonderful example of the rich cultural heritage of India. I was particularly impressed with the informative displays that explain the history and significance of each structure within the Qutub Complex. These displays were helpful in understanding the rich history and significance of the monument and its surroundings. Overall, Qutub Minar is a must-visit for anyone interested in history, architecture, and culture. The stunning architecture, rich history, and informative displays make it a great place to learn about India's rich cultural heritage.

Situated in South Delhi, Qutub Minar is a must visit place for everyone. The surroundings are clean and the monument itself is beautiful! Guides are available to tell you more about the history behind it and you have to purchase a ticket before entering - Rs 40 for locals, children below 15 years don't need a ticket. For foreigners, the ticket price is Rs 600. The monument is very well maintained too! How to reach? Nearest metro is Qutub Minar on the yellow line, or you can drive here by road.

Oh so beautiful! Make sure you visit such that you can view it both before and after sunset. The ruins around it are equally beautiful as the minar. It’s like you’ve entered a completely different realm. Once the sun sets, the lighting adds on to the beauty and you can get some beautiful clicks too. Do buy tickets prior to the visit to jump the queue

Qutub Minar is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Delhi. It is a popular tourist destination and attracts visitors from all over the world. It's more of a historical importance rather than a tourist attraction. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes as there is a lot of walking involved. It’s also advisable to wear a cap and carry water bottles to counter the heat. It is possible to buy tickets online. There is also a 1600 year old 'Iron pillar' which doesn't rust.

They do have good parking place at Rs.10 at the opposite site of Qutub Minar entrance. The area of Qutub Minar is huge which is well preserved by creating lawns. Qutub Minar in Delhi is a really tall tower made of bricks, built a long time ago. It's famous for its beautiful designs and carvings. I visited Qutb Minar with my college friends, entry fee was low and we started clicking selfies as we went inside the complex. It is accessible by Metro and Bus, Qutb Minar has well cleaned complex and lush green lawns. We saw a lot of foreigners along with local guides who were gaining knowledge about Indian History, I too got some great clicks shot at the Monument. Its a great place to visit, whether you want to spend time with family or friends, its one of the best places in Delhi to hangout. It closes at 5pm so once has to be a bit early in his/her visit. It’s good to visit in Winters as Delhi becomes too hot in summers. I traveled from Huda City Center in the Metro and it took me around 30 min to reach Qutb Minar metro station. It has ample number of shops at the entry point so one doesn’t have to worry about food and water. Safety could be a concern for someone visiting for the first time as some people would try to get your money by telling you that their family has lost their homes or they missed the train and then they will try to make you emotional for their poverty.Better stay away from any malicious person or group of persons. I dont recommend visiting it during the weekends as it becomes too crowded but during normal week days. Overall I had a great experience and its a nice place to hangout.

The Qutub Minar is a towering 73 meter high tower built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak in 1193. This tower is the highest tower in India, complete with five storeys and projecting balconies. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the tallest brick minaret in the world. It was constructed as a grand monument to celebrate the defeat of the last Hindu ruler of Delhi and the establishment of Muslim Dominance. Built-in red sandstone, Qutub Minar is a real masterpiece of Mughal Islamic craftsmanship.

We so often just travel through Delhi without ever stopping to experience its rich historical wealth. So we decided to stay over for a few days and visit some sights. The Qutub Minar is a marvel of engineering. It's beautiful mix of historical buildings and the steel pillar that never rusts, even in 2,000 years, is enchanting. Take your time to wander around, you won't be disappointed.

One of oldest structures in Delhi it’s a little far from all the other attractions but worth the visit. Beautiful example of old Mughal architecture. You have to buy a ticket from across the road. The security scan lines get long really quickly so be ready to wait or get there early in the morning. Unfortunately they have roped off the iron pillar now.

A wonderful tourist attraction! The minar is so beautiful and surrounded by a huge garden and ancient buildings and tombs. A lot of squirrels and birds and trees make it a wonderful place to spend time and enjoy nature. The area is very well taken care of. The entry fee is 40₹ for Indian tourists and you can avoid the queue if you book it online, however make sure you do it before because you may face network issues at the site. The planes arriving makes it even more scenic. Car parking is available and a lot of eateries around the site. It's around 20minutes from the 'Qutab Minar' metro station and you also get ricks to drop you off. Enjoy and keep the place clean!

A great place to visit and explore. The area is quite large and open. Plenty of greenery and well planned out layout for touring the entire monument. Great place to visit when in Delhi. They do have good parking place at Rs.10 at the opposite site of Qutub Minar entrance. The area of Qutub Minar is huge which is well preserved by creating lawns. One can spend time here by clicking the photos of surrounding and the tall minar. To avoid crowds, try to visit during early hours

Qutab Minar is a soaring, 73 m-high tower of victory, built in 1193. A 7 m-high iron pillar stands in the courtyard of the mosque. It is said that if you can encircle it with your hands while standing with your back to it your wish will be fulfilled. It looks majestic at night, with the lights on. A good place to click photographs with your friends and family. Entry fee @Rs.40 and bag can be kept in cloak room (They charge Rs. 10 or 20). This UNESCO World Heritage Site, visible from different parts of the city attracts thousands of visitors every day. It is one of the most popular tourist spots to visit.

The historic Qutub Minar is undeniably a magnificent testament to India's rich history and architectural brilliance. It stands tall as a symbol of the country's glorious past. The well-preserved site offers visitors a glimpse into the grandeur of ancient India, showcasing intricate designs and remarkable craftsmanship. One of the most enchanting aspects of Qutub Minar is its evening illumination. When the monument is lit up, especially with planes flying overhead, it creates a breathtaking and surreal ambiance that adds to its charm. It's a sight that leaves a lasting impression on anyone fortunate enough to witness it. Overall, Qutub Minar is not just a historic site; it's a treasure trove of history and culture that allows people to connect with India's remarkable heritage. It's a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists, offering a captivating blend of history and architectural beauty.

The Qutub Minar complex is a fascinating historical site, showcasing the rich heritage of Delhi. However, the weekend crowds can detract from the experience, making it difficult to fully appreciate the monument's beauty and history amidst the hustle and bustle. Consider visiting on a weekday for a more serene exploration.

There wasn't crowd while we entered the time was 2 PM. It forms a part of the Qutub Complex comprising the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, Alai Darwaza, Alai Minar, Ala-ud-din's Madrasa and Tomb, Iron Pillar, Tomb of Imam Zamin, Sanderson's Sundial and Major Smith's Cupola. Everything was spectacular to watch. The indo-Islam architecture is one of the best to witness. The alai Darwaza was awesome.. The doors had carvings that looks splendid. It was really a great trip. Awesome place to spend time with family and kids.

Qutub Minar is one of the historical place in india which is located at 15 km in south direction from New Delhi.Qutub minar is one of the tallest minaret in India and It is made from red standstone and marbles. Qutub Minar has some adjoining structures that lend shine of some of its fame. The Qutub complex houses the iron wonder nearby. The Iron Pillar is one of the metallurgical interests of the world. It is a thing to study as well as famous tourist destination. Traditionally people believe that if anyone standing in front of pillar with his back towards the column can encircle it with their arms, all his wishes will be fulfilled. Government has built a fence around it for safety. Good place to visit. It is only a little bit a pity that it lacks audioguides to understand better the history of this very interesting site. Yet, don't miss the video at the entrance, you will thus get more information.

Qutub was built by First muslim ruler Qutb Uddin Aibak. It was previously A Hindu temple, later the ruler after succession,he destroyed and built Qutub Minar. It has various buildings inside it. Ilthumish's Tomb was too here, there was a well, used by Hindus which was now 7ft deep. There was a muslim first school/college inside it used by that time, there was a big pillar which was comprises of 5 metals Iron, phosphorus, Magnesium, Nickel ores which is located top right of the Qutub Minar. Qutub minar was closed to see inside the tower as there were few bitter experiences.. in 1960s,1970s were school student died due to fellow students activities, and few couples commit suicide for these reasons it was closed till now, but we can see the outer view and enjoy it's beauty. There was a near by metro, cab and auto facilities. You can have a hassle free travel here and take pictures. Guides were also there you can ask for a historical explanations. Entry should be made through online and entry was 35 for Indian adults. Have a nice visit.

This place is worth a visit. Best time to go is around sunset. They have a light show after sunset. It is simply amazing. Visit the place with family. They have affordable parking facility as well. If you use public transport, the nearest metro stations are Saket and Qutub Minar. You can easily get autos fr the aforementioned stations. The ticket charges are also nominal (for Indian citizens). Best seasons to visit are late spring and early fall.

One of the best tourist spot of Delhi india. Where you can find glimpse of Arabic architecture along with the evidence of beautiful ancient Indian architecture.

It was amusing trip really. The Qutub Minar bears solidarity and unity in undivided Great India by the Muslim due to their powering moment. The muslim did not give pressure or showing the power to come in Islam when they built and preached religion peacefully. Still it is showing previous generosity and teaching of Islam which we are following in different countries.

Don't visit in summer. Visit only if you are a person who has read history. There is nothing much to make you go 😳. It will make you feel proud of Indian Monuments. It will definitely make you wonder how people could build such strong monuments with limited resources. You will enjoy it if you are visiting in winter. Enjoy👍

Visit this 73 meters or 240 feet tall man made structure and walk through the stories of ancient time. Qutub Minar is the tallest minaret in India and one my favourite ancient sights in Delhi. The red sandstone tower is surrounded by ancient medieval structure and ruins and is collectively known as Qutub Complex. Mughal art and architecture is one of my most preferred in Indian architecture, and this place with its crumbling walls has many stories to tell. This UNESCO World Heritage site is not to be missed!

Serene time to spend with loved ones. Large parks and historical monuments go well together. Crowd present at ticket counters due on the weekend rush hours, but inside the area is spacious enough to disperse the crowd.

I had mixed feelings visiting Qutb Minar. The columns and the large tower are very famous. It is a well-known field with ruins. And the columns are very photogenic. The security check was rather strict and I had to leave my most precious belonging at the entrance which made me feel uneased while visiting and I was glad to leave. It‘s not a place I would visit again yet when you are in Delhi it is nice to have seen it once.

Timings: 7 am to 5 pm Days closed: none Dress code: nil Entry fee : adults- 40 rupees Foreigners- 600 rupees Children-free below 15 years. Parking facilities: available opposite side of entrance complex, charges may vary time to time. Nearest metro station: Qutub minar metro station ( yellow line) Photography: camera -25rupees( non- commercial) Video camera- 25 rupees( non- commercial) at present I don’t know. Qutub minar is a UNESCO world heritage site in Delhi’s mehrauli area with 72.5 meters. Take a tour of the qutub minar complex and admire the intricate architecture and historical magnificence of this monument. A audio guide tour of this site will give you better insight of this attraction. Visitors can also relax in the gardens . There are several hawkers outside the complex selling chats , ice creams etc.. there are restaurants opposite side of this gate. The Qutub festival, a three day festival that celebrates Indian classical music and dance takes place here every November and it’s best time to visit during winter because in summer it will be hot🥵.

Entry fee was 30 rs and there is a big line for that. Qutub minar station is near by not walkable I would suggest suggest to go around 4pm so that you can click some good pictures

In few places to visit in Delhi Qutub Minar is one of the UNESCO world heritage site, which is in Delhi around 15-18km from IGI airport, 11Kms from Badarpur Border and 14/15 kms from New Delhi Railway station. New Delhi is having great transportation in terms of Metro. It would be better if you buy tickets online rather than coming and buying.

Amazing tourism spot in Delhi. Had a fabulous experience. You need atleast 2 hrs to see this place fully. They do not allow you to go to the upper viewing decks of the minar. However the gardens are sufficient to spend your day

It's really a nice place. One of the marvelous structure. I really wonder how they managed to build such huge structure back then!! And the iron piler is also a wonderful thing. The place is well maintained, there are water also available. The rest is pure history...

It is an awesome monument to visit with friends or family. It gives the vibes of old times. How those people used to construct architectures and the are still intact. One should visit here atleast once. There is much awareness given over cleanliness and maintenance. Moreover it is good place to click pictures😍.

This place was enchanting. The 72 meter tall minaret is built from red sandstone blocks. There are elaborate carvings in the sandstone. It is in a quiet park inside noisy Delhi, making it a welcome respite from the busy city. You can tour the grounds in less than an hour but you might stay longer to soak up the history and atmosphere. We arrived late afternoon in October as the sunlight was waning and the lights illuminated the tower.

Archaeological department has maintained it well, but the tourists have made the place dirty. It is full of graves. They have destroyed some Temple and constructed it. It is too crowded and advice to purchase the ticket online, otherwise a lot of time is wasted in buying tickets.

You can't miss qutub minar when you visit Delhi. Visit in the opening hours to avoid crowds. Parking is available and very easy to reach here on your own vehicle. I don't think a guide is necessary for this place as the details are mentioned at each monument. Buy the tickets online to save money.

One of the great sights in Delhi. Largest brick tower structure in the world. Tower is surrounded by other temple structures with detailed carvings. Off to one side is the base of a planned, but never finished, second tower - to be twice the height. Also home to the Iron Column. This is an excellent and must see historical place to visit whilst in Delhi with its 1192 sandstone minaret and beautiful buildings/temples and grounds. Part of our personal guided tour who enhanced the experience by providing the history of this site. Very busy with Indians and tourists when we visited.

🌟 Qutub Minar - A Serene Stroll Through History 👫 Experience with a friend: I visited the Qutub Minar with my best friend and had an enjoyable time exploring this historic marvel. 🏰 Entry and Ticket: The ticket price was a mere 40₹ per person, allowing us access to the premises. It was a reasonable fee for the historical significance and beauty of the site. 🚶‍♂️ Exploration: We took a leisurely 40-minute walk around the area, soaking in the rich history and admiring the intricate architectural details. The surroundings were incredibly neat and well-maintained, adding to the overall charm of the place. 📸 Perspective: The Qutub Minar, though majestic in photos, might seem slightly shorter in reality. However, the historical significance and the detailed craftsmanship on the monument are awe-inspiring nonetheless. 🌳 Ambiance: The ambiance was serene, offering a peaceful getaway from the bustling city. The surrounding greenery added to the tranquility of the place, making it a perfect spot for history enthusiasts and anyone seeking a calm retreat. 👍 Recommendation: Highly recommended for history buffs, photographers, and those seeking a serene historical escape in the heart of India. Feel free to adjust or add any other details you might want to include!

Unesco Heritage site ! The site offers facilities like well-maintained gardens, information boards, and seating areas. The best time to visit Qutub Minar is during the cooler months, from October to March, to enjoy the outdoor surroundings comfortably. Do visit in the evening at 5-6 pm so that you can view the beautiful lights after sunset. Tickets can be booked on-site or online through official platforms. Online booking offers the convenience of avoiding long queues, especially during peak tourist seasons.

Best to go at dusk, you see in some daylight left, then at night. It's a great spot. Do NOT eat the nearby canteen food (near where you buy tickets) I got really sick from it.

Amazing experience of the evening light show. It's a lifetime experience arranged beautifully by the Govt. of India. The Qutub complex gets really crowded on weekends but it's serene to see the spectacular light show with so many people altogether. Transportation is good, can be better. Eateries are an issue, overpriced and there are not many options. The ticket price for the normal time visit is 30 rupees , but for evening time, it's 35 rupees per Indian.

It is very huge and mesmerizing. Not only the minar but area besides it was town at that era. Carvings are just beautiful. Place is well maintained and clean. You need to take a ticket and bags are not allowed inside. Lot of visitors are there with foreigners. It makes it very crowded but it is simply worth it. It will take your 1 hr to explore the whole area and click pictures.

Was damn crowded due to Christmas holiday. Booking ticket online is the best way to go inside without much waiting. Place is a bit damaged apart from Qutub Minar itself and would have been great had that been present as well. Lots of squirrels you can touch as they try to come to you looking for food.

Great place to click pictures and hang out with family and friends. Amazing view. Though we could only get the access of few places as it was the closing time so visit around 5pm so that you can get the view Qutub Minar of evening and night both.
