Raj Ghat is really a lovely place to visit. It seems to be outside of Delhi's pollution and population. Raj Ghat is very big and soothing place. One can spend whole day sitting near the lake. And this is nature friendly where one may visit with family and friends and one may spend lonely time also. It is near Delhi Gate metro Station. I visited there twice in this rainy season. I saw the true colors of nature and its beauty. I recommend everyone should visit at least once. And there is no charge or ticket for entry.

First of all Shantivan and Rajghat are two different sites of same place. So it's better to visit the all together in a same day. Timings: open from 6:30am to 6pm. Either early morning or afternoon time is best to visit here. TRY TO AVOID THE NOON TIME. Expense: No entry tickets, Free parking facility available. 1. Park your vehicle in the FREE PARKING AREA (near Rajghat Swachhata museum). 2. First take a look at SWACHHATA MUSEUM (Regarding the Swachhata mission of PM Narendra Modi)_it will take hardly 5-15min. 3. Then cross small road there to get in through RAJGHAT ENTRY (security check in will be done there) 4. KISHAN GHAT: (Samadhi of former PM Charan Singh) 5. RAJGHAT: Samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi. It is well maintained one out of all the samadhi here. Also there is ample greenery with rolling space around to sit and chill in the evening. 6. BIR BHUMI: samadhi of former PM Rajib Gandhi. 7. SHAKTI STHAL: samadhi of former PM Indira Gandhi 8. on the way to Shantivan: Big pond with many birds, specially in the evening time... quite a good area to hang around. 9. SHANTIVAN: here lies the samadhi of 2 former PMs - Pt Jawaharlal Nehru and a little behind, that of Sanjay Gandhi. Overall a nice place to hang around, for half of your day. Spend a family time here and take back a good memory. *BATHROOM/WASHROOM: one at car parking space. Another on the way to Shantivan. Have a nice time.

Shantivan is the place where the builder of modern India was cremated. It's a beautiful serene place. The connecting path from Shakti sthal is shabby. Weeds are grown either deliberately is unknown.

The Shanti Vana is spread across an area of 52.6 acres and located centrally in Delhi. It is a famous spot for a leisurely stroll around the forest-laden path and picnic with family and friends. The trees are also marked with the names of dignitaries who planted them. The memorial is located north of the Gandhi Memorial known as Raj Ghat which is just a five-minute walk from Shanti Vana. The park is also home to a lot of birds and squirrels and is a sight to watch during the spring season. Joyous with colors of blooming flowers, this park is one of the rare serene and calm places in busy Delhi.

    (Translated by Google) There will be a feeling of peace on visiting this place, but nothing special will be seen upon seeing it. But if I believe, go a little further, then you will feel that there is no place to be beautiful, here you will find a variety of types of rocks made by cutting the rocks, duck, grassland, kind, Will see plants (Original)

Jawaharlal Nehru's samadhi to the north of the Raj Ghat and known as the Shantivan or Shanti Vana meaning the forest of peace. The area has a beautiful park adorned with trees planted by visiting dignitaries and heads of state. His grandson Sanjay Gandhi's samadhi is adjacent to it.

This place is soooo good. If you're looking for some peace and greenery then this is the best place for you!! You can do your workout stuff too. I still don't know whether practicing some freestyle football skills are allowed there or not, so I'll update it as soon as I get to know✌🏿

One of the most pristine and clean places in Delhi which is well maintained by the Government of India. You can enjoy a nice walk, stroll or a jog in the Mornings. The air is clean with a lot of greenery around you. A must visit for everyone who stays in Central Delhi.

Serene, green, urban jungle in the hustle bustle of Delhi. A breather of fresh air and picturesque. A must visit place not just from the history perspective a but a place fo family to walk and jog. Lakes with in the park are a treat to watch. Come sit close to the nature and listen to trivial but lost sounds of nature.

This vast park on the bank of Yamuna is surrounding the simple and modest resting place of Panditji Jawaharlal Nehru. The enormous 'van', meaning the forest like park, compensates for the simplicity of the samadhi itself, to match the popular leader's stature. People living in Delhi are generally apathic to such memorials, but the tourists compulsorily visit them as they are included in all the popular tourist itineraries. Otherwise, the park is a good place for walking or meditation, but for the traffic on the major road alongside.

Visit Shanti Van to see the National Shrine set around lush green lawns and trees. Shanti Van is known as Jawahar Lal Nehru memorial. It is located on the bank of River Yamuna,?north of Rajghat. Shanti Van is the Samadhi of Pandit Jawar Lal Nehru, the great National Leader and the first Prime Minister of independent India. Pandit Nehru led India to the path of progress and modernization. He also holds the record for being the longest serving Prime Minister of India. The last rites of Jawahar Lal Nehru (popularly known as Chacha Nehru by children) were performed here on 27th May 1964. A tombstone has been erected at his funeral place at the Shanti Van. The spot is maintained to honor the great leader who was the father of the Non Aligned Movement and who provided a new direction to modern India. Next to the memorial of Pandit Nehru, lies the tomb of his grandson Sanjay Gandhi, who died in a plane crash in 1980. A few other memorials established near the Shanti Van are: Raj Ghat (Mahatma Gandhi), Vijay Ghat (Lal Bhadur Shastri), Shakti Sthal (Indira Gandhi), and Vir Bhumi (Rajiv Gandhi). The memorial is open to visitors on all days without any entry fee. People visit the place to pay homage to the greatest Prime Minister in the history of Indian Democracy. There is no restriction on photography as well.

located in the north of Shakti Sthal and Rajghat is the memorial of India's first prime minister, Jawahar Lal Nehru. He was cremated here in the year 1964. A memorial has been set up at this spot, surrounded by lush green lawns and foliage to honor the first prime minister of India. Lush greenery, sprawling gardens, numerous trees & saplings keep the atmosphere cool & serene. The stretches of greenery run endlessly and in almost every nook & corner, a beautiful plant stands in humility to welcome you. Every year on 14th November, which is Children's Day as well as his birth date, dignitaries & the heads of the states pay homage to 'Chacha' Nehru. On this occasion, certain prayer sessions & cultural programmes are also organised in Shanti Van to celebrate the event.
