Obviously the time to visit this place is not right, end April... The plants are being prepared for flowering. Each flowerbed has been labelled with tje name of the species of rose and the colour of the flowers it will produce. One is likely to see the garden in full bloom in July - August - September, after the rains & I guess a couple of months more after that. Now it's very hot, the fountains are kept working for a while, but there are very few roses.

Indo Africa Friendship Rose Garden is situated at Satya Marg, Chanakyapuri. This beautiful garden has pathways to walk . It has different colors and varieties of rose flowers arranged in rows. I didn't find restrooms or drinking water facilities. But this is a nice place if you want to spend your time with nature in silence.

Beautiful garden. Extremely well maintained. Makes for a lovely picnic spot in the winter months. Though accessibility, if one is not coming by their private car, is any issue.

Timings Timings 9:00 am - 10:00 pm (Open All Days) Nearest Metro Station Sri M Vishveswaraiah Moti Bagh (Pink Line) / Lok Kalyan Marg (Yellow Line) The National Rose Garden, also known as the National Indo-Africa Friendship Rose Garden is a popular tourist destination located in Chanakyapuri. Known to be home to one of the rarest varieties of roses from across the globe, one can also witness green and black roses here. The best time to visit this garden is from November to January when roses are in full bloom. It's a nice and peaceful space for nature lovers. Many varieties of roses can be seen here apart from other flowers. If you love photography then you should definitely come here to capture nature in its purest form. Right next to this garden is Brics Friendship Rose Garden. I feel this park is better than that in terms of its upkeep and also the way the whole park has been planned.

One of the lovely places I have visited in Delhi. A fairly small garden, making the best use of its space and providing the best service to its guests! The 'India Africa Friendship' board outside itself lifts your mood instantly. Actually it appeared itself before me on my way to Rail Museum. Though I could not enter the museum due to heavy rush, my small time in the garden was mesmerizing. The flowers, the fountains, plants and trees, and lovely people - families, couples, and singles! What's needed more.

Situated on both sides of Shantipath, just after the Rail Transport Museum, the rose garden spreads out across lawns, with fountains and water channels along the middle. February and early March are a great time to visit the gardens; this is when dozens of varieties of roses are in bloom across the gardens, from some very common pink or white varieties to rarer ones in hues like deep crimson and pale mauve. There are other flowers too, both atop the pergolas as well as in beds, but the roses are the main attraction. No entry fee is charged for the Rose Garden.

It is a beautiful garden situated on Satya Marg In Chanakya puri. Participated in a rose festival recently held here. Was over awed to see the rose varieties and their bloom in different flower beds or Kyaris and that too at the December end when the first flush of the roses is on the decline. A must visit place for nature lovers

Review Date: 21/11/2023 Visit Time: Around 16:30 Ticket: Free of cost Parking: Free parking available for both cars and bikes. If you are specifically going to see roses, this is not the best time; it seems to be pruning season as most of the rose plants were pruned. I believe Feb-March might be the best time for rose sightings. I have added pictures for better understanding. Very few plants had tiny roses. Otherwise, it’s a decent park amidst the honking and traffic sounds where you can visit early morning.

Great place near IIT Delhi for jogging, running. You can come here to sit peacefully in the nature and get some fresh air. It also has a small open gym. You will find a lot of couples here doing all sorts of things, so if you are coming with family or children it's better to stay on track and not go inside the jungle area. There is also a small playing area for children with seesaw, swings etc.

As the name suggests, the National Rose Garden is solely dedicated to the symbol of love that has turned lovers into poets and painters into artists – roses. The park exhibits the most beautiful varieties of roses that been sourced from all over the world. Located in the heart of New Delhi it the most frequently visited park in the city. The stunning fields of roses spread out over acres, the intensity of their blush depending on the rising or the setting of the sun. The National Rose Garden is a must-visit for all flower lovers.
