Absolutely mind blowing!!! Every single item is sooo freaking delicious, so well cooked, and wholesome. A friend who has been visiting here forever took me and boy didn't disappoint an iota. We ordered full combo thalis and shared. Their refreshing drinks too are just spot on. Highly recommending this place and will go back for more next time I am in Delhi. Note: It's on the 4th floor and no lift, so recently they have opened a space on the ground floor for those who struggle with stairs :)

The place is really very nice. The food is so delicious, but it's a little overpriced. The service was very nice. The quantity of the sabji is platters are very much, that can be reduced a bit. I had litti chokha, which was very delicious. Must try their Maithali thali, it's very tasty. The behaviour of waiters were very nice and friendly. Always opt for mineral water over regular water because regular water had chlorine taste.

A place for die hard fans of food. I chose those words because the food here is so delicious that one climbs 4 set of steep staircases just to eat here. You must visit this place in minsoon because view from the green rooftop is indeed amazing. I was loosing my faith in The Potbelly but this visit again made me a fan. Vegetarians must try their Maithli and Madhubani Thaali.

Excellent cozy roof top restaurant, the ambience is simple and soothing with a lot of greenery around you. Coming to the food, we had Daal pitti, veg thali and khada masala mutton. The service is quick however the quantity serves one, so if you are coming in a group order accordingly. The taste is good, authentic taste of Bihar, a must visit place.

One of the best restaurants in Delhi for Non veg lovers. They do offer some delicious veg dishes also. The food they serve is mouth watering. I truly love the taste of food and the portion. Definitely worth a visit.

Taste and ambience very good. Service and food amount for the pricing should be better. The waiters didn’t even know the menu. And atleast three of them didn’t. Because they couldn’t understand what we were ordering.

Been visiting this since 2010 and even after over a decade the charm of this restaurant doesn't fade away. The Maithili thali is love, you can try anything from the menu.. It always taste great. The dishes are from Bihar, hence you will find chatakh swaad khana. Indeed not a place to miss if you want to enjoy good food while talking to your friends. They do not serve liquor and there are no dance floors in case you are looking for that ambience this is not the place. This place is for those talkative friends and family who love to chit chat over food and have fun. It has always been a 5 star place for food for me.

This is our second time having lunch at Potbelly. We had tried food at their Bihar Niwas outlet in 2019. Ambiance was good. Food, it's presentation was very good. But it was not value for money. As quantity is very less in comparison to the price. Bihari food is not on the pricey side. We tried sabudana pakoda basket( starters), Ranchi pulao and Kalimirch chicken( main course) and saffron boondi hung curd( dessert). It's a roof top restaurant. So one has to climb lot of stairs. There should be a little maintenance on the stairs walls too.

Come here if you are craving for bihari cuisine. One of my favourite restaurants in the city. Khada masala mutton and Champaran Mutton were delectable. Fish fingers weren't good. 9/10 would recommend

The Potbelly Rooftop Cafe is situated in Shahpurjat Village in Hauz Khas. The restaurant operates on the 3rd floor of a building and has very narrow access. As compared to other branches this branch is famous for its location. People suffering from knee problems may suffer to climb the stairs to the rooftop. The cuisines are very rich in flavours. Potbelly restaurants are famous for their meat preparation. They serve good variety of Vegetarian food as well. Must try Litti Chokha, Litti Chicken and Khara masala meat. Last but not the least they serve amazing hot tea. You'll always experience a good class of crowd in this restaurant.

A third class Restaurent which is very costly as per their offering. Stop cheating people in the name of Bihari cuisine, Bihari food is much better than this restaurant. Not at all recommended for the people who are looking for Bihari authentic food. Management is also 3 rd class. Nobody bother there for the service and taste.

The food was quintessentially awesome. The showstopper was by far the Fish Chokha on Marua Roti Loved and was humbled by the service of the entire staff Overall amazing experience and suggest you to must try if you are seeking Costal food in Delhi.

One of the most amazing culinary experiences in the city. A very creatively curated menu. For the starters, we tried the Keema Goli, and a poori platter with minced fish that bad a strong mustard flavour (can't remember the name). These really set the tone for an hour long hogging that we did on the main course (khada chicken with lacha parantha, chicken stew with rice). Lovely food, friendly staff, and overall, a great experience.

To reach the place it's bit difficult to find. On the top most floor antique food. Specially for the Bihari takes to that vibe. Yummy food litti chokha and utterly delicious mutton, Pakora basket is just worth it so traditional love the servings. Worthy of every penny. 😋😋

Delicious food and a beautiful ambience. But most importantly, one of the most kind and humble staff. When I asked them for their recommendations, they very passionately explained the dishes and how they are prepared. I had a Dana Jhamarua Thali and it was amazing. My only exposure to Bihari cuisine had been Litti Chokha prior to visiting Potbelly, so this was a very new and unique taste. The rice flour roti with poshta dana is so good. Will be definitely visiting again. Just a note, it is a rooftop cafe without any elevator. You need to climb four flights of stairs to reach the place.

Amazing, amazing and Amazing, this is the only way to describe the quality of food here. Tehri,Veg Biryani, boondi with Hung curd,Alook chop with Sabodana, it's all Indian food at Best. Have travelled extensively across the globe but this food is something very special. It has become my Thirth Sthan when ever I visit Delhi from Bangalore. It's a must try place.

Food is good but upset with the bill. Price in menu shown was higher in a final bill for all items. When asked why prices are different as shown in menu, we were told that they have revised the price but they don't have new menu. Nither it wasn't mentioned anywhere nor we were told about it. When asked for some to discuss, no one appeared. End up paying what they asked for.

Tried their litti chicken as it was one of their most popular dish. I was not disappointed the eggplant dish had slight smoky taste which enhanced the flavor, potatoes were decently flavored and chicken was really tasty and tender, quality of the chicken was great as well. Only drawback was the entire dish was kind of dry.

Their chicken pakoda from MEAT BASKET and the chicken they serve with LITTI was tasteful, however I didn't really like their mutton pakoda nd KEEMA AALOO CHOP that much. Location is a PLUS.

Delicious food for the Bihari taste bud. Was great to be there on my birthday. The hospitality and the ambiance is of rooftop like the restaurant itself. Totally loved it. The only drawback we found was the narrow stairways to the restaurant which gives you a good cardio workout 😉. In all it was awesome. We ordered Sarson fish, Chicken spiced, fresh lemonade and apple lemonade. Got lipsmacking Makhana Kheer as complimentary. It was delightful ☺️☺️

Delhi me Bihar chahiye toh yahan zarur se jaye. Authentic yum Bihari cuisine they serve with love. We had mix pakora basket with chutney and tamatar chokha, Aloo Lalu chop (bihari style aloo cutlets (so so tasty) served with meethi tamatar ki chutney and green chutney, Tehri with raita and oal (yam) chutney and lastly their famous litti with chane ki daal and baingan aloo chokha. Had Apple lemonade in helping this super tasty meal to digest. The only thing which we did not like was the service to the roof top sitting area which is little way out from the indoor sitting, the waiter did not come after serving us the food and we wanted to ask some more chutneys and water but we waited and waited. The roof top sitting area is cool and quiet but they should send the waiters there also in between if customers opt to sit there. Don’t know if they were too busy that afternoon coz we saw only one person who was taking the orders and serving, in that case they should increase the no. of waiters. Secondly, you will have to climb a flight of 4 floors to reach the cafe infact i think 5th pe hai cafe, so be ready for it, achha khane k liye mehnat toh karni padegi bhai. But food is no. 1 no doubt. So do visit.

Ambience: 5/5 Service :4/5 Food :3/5 ( could be because I don't like mustard taste) Value for money: 2/5 Ordered: Litti chokha: Litti was good but had strong mustard taste Poori basket : It was nice to taste different varieties Chaparan mutton : just ok, 650 for a bowl of mutton wasn't worth Pakora basket : this was the best among all the items we ordered.

  • 2/5 Kabir H. 1 year ago on Google
For a long time we wanted to have litti chokha but when we found this restaurant the rating convinced us to visit. It’s on the 4 floor terrace and the stairs are not for unfit people. 3 piece Litti Chokha with tiny bit of chokha and bowl full of Chana dal was a surprise for me. I’ve tasted much better litti chokha elsewhere. Chana dal was a total waste for us. Ghee was just to cover the littis. Champaran mutton with the moong dal paratha was not upto my expectations. I ordered tawa rotis separately. Mutton was average. Overall my experience was below my expectations. Rather I’ll visit lesser known places for more authentic Bihari cuisines.

A place anybody love to sit for long, but when your food platter comes before you forget the ambience because the food is just amazingly delicious. The flavour is inexplicably yummy. It's spicy but really delicious. We ordered Champaran Mutton and it was awesome. The moong dal paratta is also so tasty that you can even have it without any curry too. The complementary Gharam masala chicken gravy they gave was heaven and I didn't really expect a complementary one to be this real good. We ordered non-veg pakodas. Mutton and chicken pakodas 6 each it comes in it. It was also pretty good. The feedback paper provided with bill was scribbled with full love and happiness by me and I believe anybody would. Only thing I would like to suggest is that there's a single washroom at the 2nd floor like just near a store room which is bit inconvenient for people to climb down the stairs from above. However in one other angle it does gives privacy as well. But still location of washroom can be altered. Plus it's door can also be changed. And service i must say that they maintained high level of hospitality that we felt very comfortable but there was unusual delay in the orders getting placed which can also be taken in to concern. Champaran mutton was worth 600rs plus It's a highly recommendable place for Bihari Cuisine or if you wanna sit longer at a place for kind of a date or with family or friends.

If you are looking or craving for bihari food this is perfect spot. You name it they have it. You have to climb three floors as it's on roof top. But after that it opens into room full of nature. Big windows through which greenery can be seen . Lot of plants growing indoor decorated with test tube and paintings . Simple and fresh. We ordered makhane thali served with makhana mate curry n spinach pooris. It's just wow . We ordered in starters Paratha basket litte chokha aloo chat googri churra sabudana cutlet . All had typical flavour and outshined with mustard oil. Chutneys are different and add extra tanginess with food bites. Sabudana cutlets were well cooked n flavoursome. Chokha was less but full of flavour. Googri churra had so crispy chiwda and didn't got soggy served with black chana. It was star of the dishes. Quantities served is large so please order accordingly. The seasome tomaro and flax seed chutney is must to try on. I and my friends enjoyed the food and definately recommend. They have non veg options too but we were all vegetarian. They had variety of dishes in veg option.

When was the last time you ate the Bihari cuisine that was at a Rooftop Cafe in Delhi. Potbelly Cafe is one of a kind place that serves authentic Bihari and fusion Bihari cuisine. It's a quaint place but cozy enough to have a full-fledged meal while enjoying the evening breeze. Please try the Must Try Khada Masala Mutton, Dehati Fish n Chips, Pakora Baskets, Poori Baskets (Pooris stuffed with spicy Sattu), Bhojpuri Thali and Tarkari Thali. I just love this cafe the most.

I have been to this outlet multiple times. The food is amazing. I have introduced some of my friends to Potbelly and they word Food-gasm in as often used, while they were in the middle of their meals. I personally recommend the Makhana Thali at Potbelly. The portions and arrangement is quite good for a person with big appetite. I have also been frequenting their outlet in 32 Avenue, Gurugram. As aforementioned, amazing.

Its a beautiful place.😀 And very nice ambience. Good for the people looking for a rooftop experience and want to eat authentic Indian food (Bihari cuisine). I personally felt it to slightly overpriced (1200 for 2 without drinks and dessert). Tip: it's situated on the 4th floor so if you visiting the place wash your hands first on the second floor else you will have to climb down just to wash the hands. 😉

  • 3/5 Abhay K. 3 years ago on Google
It's a nice place but lost the authentic taste of Bihar and the reason is quite obvious; "they no more follow the basics". In a brief interaction with owners they accepted my observation and assured of using the 'Real' raw material instead of localised work around.

Food was fine not everything was great...moreover the prices are increased from what they have in menu atleast by 40 to 50 rs on each item which you will only come to know when you get the bill. There is no information, tag or anything about their new prices. Plz be watchful of that if in case you go. We asked for some extra dal which was asked by owner himself while asking for feedback n they put in bill the amount of rs 225 plus taxes wen whole thali was for 340 plus taxes as per old rate. And they removed it with great difficulty. Wanted to go again but now would not ever.
