Very beautiful and peaceful place...... Garden around the temple is a treat for the eyes ❤️ . Although be watchful for the timings or you will have to wait in long queue. 1. Don't bring FOOD, you cannot take food inside. 2.Visit in morning hours, you will enjoy everything more comfortably as for evening times there is a lot of rush and heat. 3. Don't disobey instructions....as for my experience staff is very rude and their way of correcting you will not be very good. 4. Watch for kids...They may get lost in the crowd as i have seen with my own eyes 5.It is a temple of peace but their is a huge rush of visitors that you are rarely going to experience any ☮️ peace.

Imagine visiting a magnificent temple that has remained steadfast through time and still stands out as a symbol of timeless beauty! And the best part? There's no entry fee! But wait, before you enter, you have to submit your shoes and collect a token. Once inside, you will be swept away by the calming and serene atmosphere. The queue to enter may be long, but it moves quickly. Once inside, you will be amazed by the temple's grandeur and the aura of peace that surrounds it. The rules are strict, though - no phones allowed (needs to be switched off), complete silence needs to be maintained. You can even meditate or sit and relax for a while. This temple is one of India's most revered landmarks, and it's not hard to see why!

A great place to meditate. A breathtakingly beautiful garden and the temple looks stunning from a distance. You can also add on to your knowledge by visiting the Information centre. No photography inside the temple.

This is a beautiful place and I really love going there but infrequently ofcourse because massive crowd is there all the time. Though I really appreciate the work authorities have done to keep the place cleaned and hygienic but it would be nice to have a ticket to go in so that we can help the temple grow. Lets say maybe 10 rupees so that everyone can afford it. Our small contributions can make it grow better and help them who puts our efforts to keep this place best. That idea can help creating a proper queue so that people can come in line. Its just an idea but ill leave them for them to decide. Overall above good.

I have visited both the time before & after COVID - 19 few observation I would like to share with all people. 1 Queue is extremely long now a days it is like never ending ( going to share photo below to show that how long the queue is. 2. Management of Baha'i Lotus Temple has stopping taking people in Baha'i Temple ( No entry inside the monument ) only you can roam around the monument. Still a bit fun experience with friends however the peaceful environment inside is no doubt the best experience I ever had. ( Soulful )

Interesting architectural building, Inspired by a lotus flower, hence the name. It's surrounded by some nice gardens leading up to the temple. Be aware that you must take your shoes off and put them in a bag walking up to the temple. Inside there are no pictures or talking allowed. Not a very picturesque place inside, but a good place to pray or meditate.

Although the entry inside is restricted at this Covid, but being in the campus is such peaceful. Calmness and peace can be felt here, such pure energy. Campus is well maintained, free of cost to enter and see the beauty around. The cleanliness is commendable, so is the staff behaviour. You can see varieties of flowers and well maintained trees. A must visit with your loved ones.

You can yourself see how beautiful this place is. But I have a complaint about the staff. I know that its a religious place and Baha'i people come to worship here. But not everybody is aware of Baha'i peoples faith. Specially the kids. Kids try to have fun and in that process they do things which might be against the instructions of a certain place, which we all have to follow while we visit that place. But the staff is so rude and mean that they came as being disrespectful. It felt like that they considered the visitors as inferior and was too mean towards them. I recommend you to avoid these people otherwise they'll ruin your experience of such a peaceful and beautiful place.

Entry closes by 5PM sharp, entry to temple/garden is absolutely free. This temple is such a wonderful architectural marvel. Garden is so huge, beautiful and very well managed. Although entry in garden isn’t allowed. There’s a pathway (long corridor) that leads to temple you can walk along the garden and get some amazing pictures. There’s no idol inside so it’s not a worshipping temple. You can sit and do dhyan. Parking is available on the opposite side of the temple.

Such a wonderful place and a monument in Delhi India. A must visit place I would say and the most amazing thing which I love the most is that everyone is welcome here no matter what religion you follow or believe in. Very neat and clean premises as well. There is a library as well.

This is a beautiful, no doubt about it...but you cannot go there to relax or have any peace of mind. They are huge queues and the entire ground is restricted. You are allowed to only use the footpaths. During the huge rush, that space is not sufficient. What's the point of having a massive complex with a huge garden if you are not allowed to leave the footpath. There is also very minimal parking in this area. The access road is narrow. Overall, not a place to go if you are looking for a peaceful time..

This is a very beautiful place. There is no entry fee. It was very crowded. We stood in a long queue to get inside. The place was very well maintained. I loved the garden. The architecture of lotus temple is very stunning. It is a place of worship and we are not allowed to take pictures inside. There is a museum nearby depicting the history of the lotus temple.

The place is quite good, it's not a temple to worship but a place to relax your mind and meditate in a big hall and there is no need to buy tickets as entry is free. A lot of people come so it is advisable to visit early not between 2-6 pm. There is a garden but you are not allowed to sit or roam. Also, You cannot take any food or beverages with you except water. Information Centre helps us to understand more about the place and its history so, please do visit there. Overall visiting the temple is a good experience and also gives you peace but with a lot of people around you, it's get difficult.

The Lotus Temple is a stunningly beautiful temple in Delhi. The temple is built in the shape of the lotus flower and made up of white marble. It is set inside a large garden. The temple is of the Baha'i faith, however it is open to all religions and anyone can enter and meditate.

beautiful temple, The surrounding is clean and the garden is well-maintained. The view is amazing. Inside it's very calm and quite. There's nothing much inside, just a bunch chairs and a table. You can stay inside for as long as you want but you can't make noise or use phones. While going inside the temple grounds, you are not allowed to bring any kind of foods and beverages(except water) and all bags or backpacks will be checked. If you have a camera with you then you have to submit your ID card at the check gate.

The Lotus Temple on a tranquil weekday is a sanctuary for the soul. Its architectural marvel and serene ambiance provide a haven from the bustling city outside. As the sun sets, the temple glows ethereally, inviting introspection and peace. A visit here is a reminder of the beauty of spirituality and the importance of inner calm.

Very cleanly maintained tourist place. We can get to spend atleast some 2hrs here and it has a metro station nearby for convenient public transport. Proper sign boards to be kept to show the entrance and exit. It has entry ticket, not a free entry. Please don't litter, it's a tourist place.

Baha'i's house of worship in Delhi. A marvelous lotus shaped temple to sit in silence. You would definitely like the peaceful experience inside the temple. Well maintained, clean. You will need 30 to 40 minutes to explore, up to 1 hour if there is a rush (entry to the inside hall is regulated). Don't forget to visit the Information center at the beginning of the premises. You will find good information on the Baha'i faith and about the temple.

Went in the evening The garden was well maintained. The actual building is a hall where one can spend some time in peace and relax your mind. Though occasionally pigeons enter the hall to disturb you :) . I think the photo opportunity might have been better with the lights on. Since I went in day light , I missed that.

Huge lotus like build temple is so beautiful from outer and inner both. It is completely made from marble. Shoes are not allowed inside. The team brief you before entering inside. The temple is basically the temple with no religion. Person from any religion can visit and do their prayers here. It is so silent inside that you can hear your inner voice.

An architectural marvel located at the heart of Delhi. The building to me personally, resembles the Sydney Opera House but has a uniqueness to it which makes it stand out and attracts tourist from in and around Delhi as well as one of the most visited spots by foreign tourists. It is spread across a vast area of land and has gardens and greenery where families can spend time together. The inner area of the building is peaceful where anyone can sit and focus, relax and have a moment of self-reflection away from the bustling city clutter. A must visit for sure whenever you find yourself in Delhi.

Lotus Temple was truly beautiful, a cultural visit where afterwards there were immense feelings of harmony and peace within our group. An architectural masterpiece of the times with every quality-of-life standard accounted for. The greenery was alluring to the eyes and the building itself was even more majestic. Its unique shape also allowed for passive cooling to pass through the interior with the steps being cool and comforting on the feet. It is made up of 27 leaves in total – all of which marble clad concrete slabs. The top is capped with glass and steel skylight, allowing even greater sustainability of natural light. Outside the building this can also be seen with various solar panels allocated spaces to power the lawnmowers and various lights. It is the natural ventilation used by the engineers that keeps the building cool in hotter weathers, with openings in the basement and at the top of the structure, and it truly can be felt when inside. The temple is inclusive to all individuals, allowing anyone to visit either for tourism purposes or religious purposes. However there was no wheelchair accessibility ramps to be found anywhere in the temple, limiting those who find it difficult to walk to enter the place and truly experience how grand it is. The quality of the architecture was truly amazing, when inside you feel at peace, admiring the interior of the building and simply taking it all in sitting down. Some of us were lucky enough to witness prayers by the heads of the temple and that was an experience in itself. It is a building that fits Indian culture and is necessary for its public as a place for praise, and the architect did a world class job at it.

The Lotus Temple, Baha'i House of Worship, completed in 1986, is an exceptional architectural marvel set within lush green landscaped gardens. The landscape has been done so well and beautiful, it becomes second to the temple itself. As with most temple etiquette, shoes were taken off and kept in an underground compartment with a numbered tag to retrieve later. After a brief introduction and regulations were outlined, a definite awe is released when entering the temple; it was beautiful. Its distinctive design comprises 27 marble petals arranged to form the nine sides of the temple, creating a unique and visually stunning structure. The marble-clad, free-standing concrete slabs contribute to the temple's aesthetic appeal. The Lotus Temple’s construction, primarily of concrete with marble arches and floors, presented a remarkable feat due to the weight of concrete. Very much astounded. The building featured nine arches leading to nine areas of the lotus, revealing the hollow nature of the structure when the petals were raised. The outer leaves of the marble petals serve as a roof for ancillary spaces, while the nine inner leaves form the worship space. Notably, these inner leaves approach each other but do not meet at the top. The worship space is crowned with a glass and steel skylight, allowing natural light to illuminate the interior and enhance the spiritual ambience. The acoustics inside were impressive, capturing echoes of birds' chirps and other ambient sounds, although occasional coughing disrupted absolute silence. The interior offered seats for prayer and reflection. Surrounding the temple are nine pools of water, adding a reflective dimension to the overall design. This incorporation of water features harmonizes with the lush greenery of the expansive landscape, contributing to the tranquil atmosphere enveloping the Baha'i House of Worship.

To experience tranquility amid lush surroundings, visit the architecturally stunning temple. Admission is free, but outside food is prohibited. Upon entry, kindly remove your shoes; the temple provides bags for storage. Maintain a peaceful atmosphere inside—no talking or capturing photos/videos. Please silence your mobile phones.

The temple is built in the shape of a floating half open lotus set amidst pools and gardens. This temple has no idols of any God. The temple complex comprises 27 independent marble “petals,” which are clustered into groups of three to form nine sides (through which open nine entrances into a central space) and into groups of nine to form three concentric rings. The Lotus Temple is most famous for its distinct flowerlike shape, deliberately built to reflect the beauty and symmetry of the lotus flower important to many Eastern and Indian faiths, including the Bahá'í Faith, Hinduism, and Buddhism. The Lotus Temple is the only Bahai temple of worship in Asia. It attracts about 4.5 million visitors in a year.

The Lotus Temple is located in New Delhi, India. It is famous for its lotus-like shape and has become a prominent attraction in the city. The building comprises 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in three clusters to form nine sides, with nine doors opening onto a central hall with a height of slightly over 34 meters and a capacity of 1,300 people. Inspired by the lotus flower, which is composed of 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides. The temple's shape is symbolic and inter-religious because the lotus is often associated with purity, sacredness, spirituality, and knowledge. The nine doors of the Lotus Temple open onto a central hall 34.3 meters tall that can seat 1,300 people and hold up to 2,500. The temple has a diameter of 70 m. The Lotus Temple property comprises 26 acres and nine surrounding ponds and gardens.

I like beauty of the architecture of this building. It's unique and well mentioned. It has nice garden around it which is not accessible for public but looks beautiful. This is not a regular temple and has no statue of any god inside as I have seen. It's Baha'is faith worship centre which is a religion who follow all religion. This building is more like an auditorium. Beware from security guards who are around temple's main building. Basically they are some teenagers I don't know who appoint them but they are rude and ill-mannered teenagers who don't know how to talk elders and how to talk ladies. They can be rude to you any time and misbehave you. We had incident when one of them who was a guy misbehaving with a girl and intentionally touched her. So beware of them. Overall this building has more scenic from a distance view where you can see it completely.

It’s commendable how clean they manage to clean the place. Personally I found a lot of peace once inside the temple - I wish people were more mindful and considerate of others though. It’s absolutely free to enter which is one of the reasons why hundreds throng to it. It’s very organised. They take your shoes in a bag and you walk into the main hall bare feet. It’s a stark white room - very peaceful and a great place to reflect and meditate. Loved how calm and connected I felt in there. You Photography is not allowed in the main hall and silence is requested here. There’s no rush and the volunteers allow you to spend as much time once inside the hall. It’s recommend to visit this site in winter as it’s quite a long walk before you reach the inside and it can get quite harsh in the Delhi sun.

The Lotus Temple is undeniably a beautiful structure, with its stunning architectural design reminiscent of a blooming lotus flower. However, if you're seeking mental peace, this might not be the ideal destination due to the bustling crowds and constant activity. While the temple offers a picturesque backdrop for a photo shoot, the serenity one might expect to find here is often overshadowed by the sheer number of visitors. The peaceful ambiance often sought after for quiet contemplation may be elusive amidst the hustle and bustle. Nevertheless, the sheer beauty of the Lotus Temple's architecture is undeniable and worth experiencing. Despite the crowds, it remains a remarkable testament to artistry and creativity. So, if you're prepared for the lively atmosphere and appreciate captivating architecture, a visit to the Lotus Temple can still be a memorable experience.

The Lotus Temple (also known as Kamal Mandir)  in Delhi is a matchless architectural marvel and one of the prime tourist attractions of the National Capital. Shaped in the form of a spectacular lotus with white petals, it makes for a break-taking sight and attracts countless visitors throughout the year. Unlike most other places of worship, this temple or Bahai House of Worship does not allow ritualistic ceremonies and has no fixed pattern to conduct worship. A glorious symbol of oneness, this place of worship.

The young, symmetrical bloom of the Lotus Temple, from a distance, demands your gaze as you approach through the park, a symbol of rebirth and divinity. The temple provokes a contemplative and philosophical state of mind, shifting the surrounding mood as you enter. The few quiet steps down into the hall of the Lotus Temple, where you're invited to meditate, is similar to that of a conversation pit, inducing deeper thought and in this case, a silent inner reflection. The downward threshold adds to the grounding characteristics along with the cool stone, marble and concrete, solidified into this elegant flower. Paired with the tall, vast, airy interior, the implications of a divine strength contrastingly seems delicate. Echoing songs in the hall collaborate with the acoustics as if you're exiting our world into an aura of greater purpose, fulfillment and beauty. Possibly these qualities only sparked in me personally, but through an experience of awe the Lotus Temple has succeeded in inspiring.

It is a very beautiful place to visit. Inside the premises, it is having a big temple in shape of lotus which generally closes at 5 p.m. There is a pool attached to temple and garden around it. Everything was so natural and heartwarming. There is no need of any ticket, its free of cost. But maybe you have to stand in queue for sometime as daily a huge crowd come to visit this place. Nearest Metro Station is Kalkaji Mandir and only a walkable distance from it. Do not need hire an auto if you are a solo traveller.

Lotus Temple is situated to the adjacent of Kalkaji Mandir. It is hardly 10 min walking distance from the Kalkaji Mandir Metro Station. The Place is relatively free to visit but there's huge rush at the entry points. Please ensure that you are not carrying any kind of food while entering. Once, you are made to enter inside the Lotus Temple which is basically a dome like structure and resembles the "Lotus" architecture. It is a praying hall where people used to sit for longer hours and meditate there.

LOTUS temple is Baha'i temple for worship and meditation. People from any religion can go there for meditation and prayer. There is a formal security check before enterance. Please don't take ant eating things inside temple. I went there many times. It is free of cost to enter in lotus temple and management is very good, polite and nice. The view of temple in evening sunset is amazing and with greenery and garden it stimulate it's beauty more than amazing. I always enjoy to meditate there inside the temple. There is only one thing I didn't like that people going into temple don't keep silent so much sometimes they do talk inside the temple even if management tell them not to talk inside. Also some people takes photos inside which is restricted and not allow to take photos inside the temple. So I suggest people to respect temple rules and enjoy this incredible monument. Here are some shots I captured. It's beautiful and representing natural views. Thank you

The Bahá’í Lotus Temple is a beautifully designed meditation and worship space for all faiths. The grounds are expansive with ample walkways that provide many views of the temple. When you go to the temple itself you have to stop at a shoe depository where they give you a token to claim your shoes. The process is a bit slow, but it is free. The inside of the temple is a large open space with seating for the groups that come through, it is very peaceful and tranquil inside.

It was a great experience going to lotus temple even though there was crowd and noise outside . When I entered inside it was so quiet and peaceful (they will say that you should keep silence inside the lotus temple) it was like turning on active noise cancelling on your earphone everything went silent. Most of the instructions they gave me I didn't quite get that because it was in Hindi and they didn't bother delivering it in english .The Rest Rooms were clean and well maintained and overall i like the place. And forgot to mention the making of the lotus temple just look up to the ceiling if you are going to its a great view and also from all corners too you will be amazed.

Overall, the Lotus Temple offers a unique blend of architectural beauty and spiritual tranquility, making it a must-visit in New Delhi.

I went to Lotus Temple for the first time yesterday. I didn’t know much about it but I knew that they’ve space inside where you’re supposed to remain silent. And there’s garden area outside. After visiting tomorrow, everything got clear. Firstly, there’s no entry fees. They’ve toilets inside and they’re maintained pretty well. Outside there are plenty local vendors selling eatables and other stuff. Parking is also available. Now let’s get inside. It’s built beautifully and maintained very well, despite the fact that entry is free. Now what exactly it is? It’s a place for meditation and silent prayer. They try their best to keep it silent once you’re inside the hall. Well calling it a hall would be a disgrace, it’s a very well built area. The word ‘Temple’ confuses people. They come looking to pray to their God but that’s what’s different here. You connect with the power of the Universe, the power within you, of course if you want to. If you really want that, I suggest go there as soon as it opens up. The crowd is a spoiler. People just take pictures, talk loudly and the kids totally ruin it. I can’t blame them, they don’t know what the place is for. The authorities should change the name by removing the word temple and should make others aware what exactly is the place is for. It’d serve the purpose better.

This is one of the best things that we can enjoy. Baha'i religion made this temple for people from every religion so they can come here and have a peaceful moment. It is beautiful and well managed. There is no extra add on or conditional charges, not even entry fee. There is a multiple shops of foods and beverages outside the temple's gate, so you don't have to worry or carry anything. The atmosphere here is clean and fresh, although there will be crowd so deal with it. Pickup your vehicle and go take a visit, keep an open mind and you will be amazed.

A very beautiful place where u'll find peace and calm, there were no such entry fees however there was a long queue before entering into it. Well as per my understanding it is kind of a prayer meeting place for the Bahai community peoples and they arrange a prayer meet of 15 min. For all the tourist they will ask u whether u'll be able to stay inside to attend the prayer for 15min. Or not if u deny they won't allow u to go inside where u will find the actual beauty the interior of it was beautiful and designed in such a way that all the granite and marbles looked of the same size and the exterior was also very beautiful there was also a small water pond kind of thing which was defining the floating lotus on water such a beauty this city has.

The Lotus Temple, located in Delhi, India, is a Baháʼí House of Worship that was dedicated in December 1986. Notable for its flowerlike shape, it has become a prominent attraction in the city. Like all Baháʼí Houses of Worship, the Lotus Temple is open to all, regardless of religion or any other qualification. The building is composed of 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides, with nine doors opening onto a central hall with a height of slightly over 34.27 metres and a capacity of 2,500 people. The Lotus Temple has won numerous architectural awards and has been featured in many newspaper and magazine articles. A 2001 CNN report referred to it as the most visited building in the world. The Baháʼí Faith teaches that a Baháʼí House of Worship should be a space for people of all religions to gather, reflect, and worship. Anyone may enter the Lotus Temple irrespective of religious background, sex, or other distinctions, as is the case with all Baháʼí houses of worship. The sacred writings of not only the Baháʼí faith but also other religions can be read and/or chanted, regardless of language; on the other hand, reading nonscriptural texts is forbidden, as are delivering sermons or lectures, or fund-raising. Musical renditions of readings and prayers can be sung by choirs, but no musical instruments can be played inside. There is no set pattern for worship services, and ritualistic ceremonies are not permitted. All Baháʼí Houses of Worship, including the Lotus Temple, share certain architectural elements, some of which are specified by Baháʼí scripture. ʻAbdu'l-Bahá, the son of the founder of the religion, stipulated that an essential architectural character of a House of Worship is a nine-sided circular shape. While all current Baháʼí Houses of Worship have a dome, this is not regarded as an essential part of their architecture. Baháʼí scripture also states that no pictures, statues or images be displayed within the House of Worship and no pulpits or altars be incorporated as an architectural feature (readers may stand behind simple portable lecture stands).

I enjoyed this architecture so much! The queue was long but quick, inside it is a minimalist temple where you can go for meditation or praying. Disfrute esta arquitectura tanto! La fila era larga pero rápida, adentro el templo es bien minimalista y se puede venir a meditar o rezar.

Liquors are also served here. you can visit here for you own view. North Indian Non veg, some dishes are good and some were just okay. You can try Chinese dishes also.

This place is really gonna add in my bookmarks. I love this beach theme with beautiful decor. I visit this place with my friends for party and i really had amazing time with them. Ambiance was amazing. I ordered Veg Platter and Cheese Fondue Platter with Virgin Sangria and Chocolate shake which was well presented and delectable in taste. So guys if you wanna have party, you must try out this place.

I will start with the location. This place is based in North Delhi GTB Nagar and can be reached via Delhi Metro and the nearby station is GTB Nagar and is few minutes away by walk. Cafe as such is not big and can be a possibility that you might have to wait for the table. Staff is very well disciplined and this is the first thing I liked about it. The ambience as you can see is giving you the feel of Goa. We booked a deal via dineout and got 50 percent off on total bill. Unfortunately, did not get a chance to click food pictures as we were hungry. But we had veg spring rolls, honey chilly potato and spicey chicken wings. Spring rolls and honey chilly potatoes were good (4.5 stars) but chicken wings could have been better so 3.5 stars for it. So an economical place that you can try out.

This place as the name suggests , has a beach theme. The music here is peppy and decor is cute too. The best dishes for me were Garlic butter chilli prawns, Chicken Tikka and World on plate platter. It has chilli paneer, nachoes, garlic bread, bell pepper and broccoli stuffed spring rolls and dahi ke kebabs. If you are health conscious you can try their Sauteed veggies salad, which is quite good too. If you love shaks the best choice could be oreo and Brownie shake. It is a great place for conversations and enjoying finger food. All and all the delivery is quick. Staff is courteous.

MUST VISIT PLACE IN DELHI 💯💯 Called the Lotus Temple because of its 9-sided lotus petal shape, this strikingly beautiful Baha'i House of Worship is a must see when visiting Delhi. For good reason, this World Heritage Site is one of the most visited buildings in the world. All day, every day but Monday, people quietly and respectfully stream through its gates and along its paths to enter, pray and meditate. The Baha'i Writings say, "Consort with the followers of all religions in a spirit of friendliness and fellowship."

Anyone who is into meditation and self awareness please do visit this place! Also if you have children younger than 10 it is recommended not to bring them and they can't stay quite for long period of time other wise from meditation point of view and the overall view is 10/10 .

It is a magnificent architectural marvel. Lotus Temple is open to people of all religions and backgrounds, but visitors are required to maintain a respectful and quiet atmosphere inside the temple. Photography and cell phone use are not allowed inside the main hall, as it can disturb the tranquility of the place. The petals are made of pure white marble, and they shine brilliantly against the blue sky, creating a mesmerizing sight. The surrounding gardens and water features enhance the serene atmosphere and add to the overall tranquility of the place.

Okay, so many people are gonna bash me for this, but hear me out. I love the peace in Lotus Temple and I've visited once before with my father. This has been years so I decided to make a visit again to find a peaceful place. But man! I was so wrong. The management there is the absolute worst, I cannot find any water supply or restroom anywhere. It was scorching hot and there is just one line on which you have to walk and yes as it's a temple you have to walk shoeless. I mean it's a long freaking walk, they could've done some better, maybe in summers they could've made two lines to clear out the crowd quickly. They could've maybe, make water supplies where the shoes storage is and a washroom also. Also, whoever is visiting be mindful of people selling stuff outside. They'll sell you food, which you cannot take inside, plus they'll say masks are mandatory and ask you to buy them, but in fact they're not and guards will ask you to remove them to show your faces to the camera.

Serene, quiet and beautiful. The Lotus temple is a place where you will find peace. It calms your mind and brings you closer to your gods. The temple itself is built like a lotus, which looks magnificent from outside, there is no statue of gods inside. You just keep silence and feel yourself to get closer to god. There is no entry fee to enter the temple, and once inside you are free to remain as long as you like.

It's a gem of a structure. One of the best human made structures I have ever seen. The natural cooling system is what impressed me the most about this structure. It's very near the metro station. The soothing feeling inside the place is just indescribable. The volunteers were helpful enough, in almost every language. A Must visit place in Delhi.

  • 4/5 Deeksha S. 8 months ago on Google
Beautiful place. The garden has been built on a very large lining. Before going inside the Lotus temple, a bag is given on which you have to keep your footwear and after coming out of the temple you have to return that bag, I liked this method very much. The purpose of making Lotus temple was that people of all religions should come here, sit and meditate peacefully and pray. There is a big prayer meet inside the temple where you can sit and meditate for as long as you want.

The Lotus Temple in Delhi is a unique and captivating architectural wonder. Shaped like a blooming lotus flower, this Bahá'í House of Worship is renowned for its stunning design and serene ambiance. The temple's white marble structure and pristine surroundings create a sense of peace and tranquility, making it a perfect place for meditation and reflection. Visitors of all faiths are welcome to enter and explore the temple, as it symbolizes unity and oneness of all religions. The interior of the Lotus Temple is equally impressive, featuring a vast central hall with no idols or religious symbols. Instead, it encourages visitors to contemplate and pray in their own way, fostering an inclusive and spiritual experience. Since it is one of the most visited landmarks in Delhi, it's best to plan your visit during weekdays or early in the morning to avoid larger crowds. The temple also hosts various cultural events and concerts, adding to the overall charm of the place. Overall, the Lotus Temple is a must-visit destination in Delhi, whether you seek spiritual solace or simply want to admire the breathtaking architecture. It offers a serene escape from the bustling city and leaves visitors with a sense of awe and inspiration.

Inside the Lotus temple there is nothing but a large hall where you will find lots of benches arranged wisely for sitting purpose. You should be keep quiet 🤐 while entering in the temple. We got here around 11am and it was pretty crowded. The security and guards are shockingly stern and will make you line up, give you a pep talk etc but the inside doesn't really hold much, just a simple meditation room-esque vibe and that's it. There's nothing else to do here, can't even meditate since you're on a strict timeframe to get out as well .

Beautiful temple where people from all religions can come and visit this place. Located in New Delhi, the temple was very crowded when we visited but it was worth waiting for. Marvellous architecture similar to the lotus petals. Temple is surrounded by huge garden and a pond.

The lotus temple gotta be one of my favourite architectural designs in India. Inspired by the lotus like shape the lotus is said to bring peace and unity which is probably why they implemented the lotus shape. The temple was to unite all religions to one place and bring peace and gathering. Definite go to even if you’re not interested in religion.

One of the Heritage of India. Located in the center of Lotus Temple (Baha House of Worship). The Lotus Temple is open to all, regardless of religion or any other qualification. The building is composed of 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides. You can sit with peace & silence and worship.

Huge lotus like build temple is so beautiful from outer and inner both. It is completely made from marble. Shoes are not allowed inside. The team brief you before entering inside. The temple is basically the temple with no religion. Person from any religion can visit and do their prayers here.
