Very peaceful and beautiful park area. Pet friendly and lots of open space for kids and picnic. The park itself is centrally located in Delhi with multiple options to reach here easily. It has walking and jogging paths and multiple restrooms/toilets for visitors. There is no entry fee and you can easily spend a day here with your friends and family having a good time among green plants and fresh air.

Amazing garden, so beautiful views and peaceful environment. It is so big, you need to visit in the morning then, you can explore all over the garden. So many birds are there, a beautiful lack in which ducks swim which is looking good, ancient architecture is there, and gymnastics equipment is also available. You can come with your family for a picnic and also, dogs are allowed Timing is 8 am to 8 pm and entry is free of cost.

One of the iconic gardens of Delhi. You can hobnob with the who is who of Delhi during weekend morning/evening walks. Historical buildings abound. Wide open spaces, well kept lawns, dense foliage, and a small water body. Quite clean and well maintained. Definitely worth a visit.

What a marvellous place in the heart of the city. Surrounded by The most posh localities of Delhi, it's an affluent garden and hangout space for people. Mix of old architecture and well maintained plants, it's really beautiful. Herd of people can be found in the winter weekends there having picnic with family and friends. If you want to enjoy the scenic beauty then avoid weekends.

Lodhi Garden is a lovely park in the middle of Delhi. It's huge, about 90 acres, and people really like coming here. The park looks great because they take good care of it. The best time to visit is in winter. It's also a cool place for pre-wedding photos. Whether you're with family or friends, it's a perfect spot to chill. Definitely a 5-star place for some good times in nature!

Really an Amazing and peaceful place to visit as there are many Attractions too. Me and friends visited Lodhi Garden last month and our experience was really fantastic. It is also popular for couples to hangout and the main thing which I would like to mention is the Greenery all around is really eye catching. Totally worth and one of the best park in New Delhi. Nearby Metro Station is JorBhag. U can take bus and auto service outside the park for travelling. You can also watch monkeys and Ducks in the park. In last I would like to recommend all to visit and enjoy.

Nice historical place and the best part is there is no admission fee. The place is infested with a lot of couples, who made this a hook up place and it makes the families unease while roaming with small kids. The whole garden is quiet large and takes time to see completely and better avoid going there during hot afternoon hours.

A suitable place for nature lovers. Go and visit this greenish, vibrant garden of Delhi. ~ what nurtures us the most, it's the nature that provides us enough Air to breathe, dispenses a variety of fruits and vegetables, protects us from harmful effects of sun, and soothes our body, mind and soul ~ I've had so much fun there and got to learn a lot about distinct species of birds, plants and flowers.

Stunning garden in the midst of Central Delhi with a long history and great beauty. Apart from beautiful flowers and manicured lawns it has a butterfly park that's worth a visit. You can also walk around the myriad Mughal Era monuments that dot the sprawling garden or picnic on its well kept lawns. It's very popular with families, especially children, who love to play football or Frisbee on its lawns, or just enjoy the feeling of wide empty open spaces.

Built long ago in the British era this beautifully adorned structure in the lap of nature is one of the most beautiful public properties of Delhi. It is free of entry and most people come here for their evening walks or exercises. They also have clean and maintained public toilets for all genders. Additionally, this park is pet friendly and a serene getaway from the hustle of city life. You can always hear the chirping of birds that will absolutely soothe your soul. There are two structures one after another and they are all very photogenic and aesthetic. This property is also often frequented by foreigners who come to click pictures.

A beautiful park in the bustling metropolitan for some solstice from the city life. A very peaceful and lush green place. The air is comparatively cooler and breezy in the park and specially near the ashtpula, the eight pillared bridge. The park is very clean and maintained. The tombs are in quite a degraded form but they still have their charm (kind of). However the flower beds are a delight to see. They are so mesmerizing and you got to see the small details done on the pathways when you're walking on them, for example the hedges, arches, arbors etc. Lovely place with a refreshing aura. As well as good for picnic since there are multiple large lawns with rolling hills. You can bring dogs, but between 8 AM to 5 PM and they have to be leashed.

Early morning visit to this place is so refreshing and relaxing. There are a lot of beautiful spots to click morning pictures. You will see people running, exercising and doing morning yoga. Some would just be talking a walk and some just enjoying the morning air and sun. Perfect for having some winter sun and if you want to plan a picnic with family and kids then this is a wonderful place to go to. Situated right in the middle of the city it's easily accessible. We saw some painters and musicians as well who were just enjoying their hobbies while ensuring the other around were not getting disturbed.

Absolutely beautiful place, very serene and calm. Although it is not nearly a peaceful experience as it was, thanks to the hordes of tiktok dancers that throng the place. Be sure to carry your own water bottle when you go there. It's also perfect for a small picnic as there are lots of open grounds with shade and no restrictions on food items.

A beautiful and free greenspace in Delhi. The park is easy to walk in, offers many different paths, and though busy, it is very quiet. The park feels quite safe. Points of interest include gorgeous plants, a lake with a fountain, and old tombs. Several different parking lots and entrances available. Great place to wander and be at peace.

Lodhi garden is very attractive place for: -morning walkers, -family picnic, -kids for outdoor activities, -photographers and -most importantly for love birds. Entire garden is full with greenery, beautiful flowers, architectural works (multiple tombs), varieties of birds and most importantly natural view. Best part is that this historical garden is accessible for all without any admission fee. Overall must visit place. My favourite place for morning walk. 😊

Great place for family outing in Delhi. There’s plenty of space for sports and other activities. You can watch birds, plants, flowers chase squirrels, feed ducks and many more. This place proves that Mughal garden is overrated. It’s open for all and open all days, there’s no entry fee. The good thing is that you will not find couples making love around the corners so commonly because it’s a family place.

Excellent well maintained garden. It has monuments. bonsai garden, green house and great lawns. A place for entire family enjoy. Super cool garden. Lots of monuments to see and some information near each one. It was easy to navigate because I had a photo of the plan I saw at the entry. Benches everywhere so you can rest at shadow and cool from the hot temperatures. There’s some water distributors around but I don’t know how they work. Nice to visit if you are in Delhi

This place is just peaceful to be at, with the gardens, tombs, flowers, trees, water, fountain and ducks. What's not to love? You can come here for picnics. There's usually something to eat outside the gates including ice creams and small snacks and you can find people selling some small snacks and drinks inside too. Overall, I love being away from loud places to just be in a more grounding place.

Exploring the historical garden is like stepping into a living tapestry of the past, where nature and history intertwine to create an enchanting experience. The garden's rich heritage is immediately evident in its meticulously landscaped grounds, which pay homage to the bygone eras that have shaped its design. Strolling along the winding paths, you encounter centuries-old trees, fragrant blooms, and serene water features that transport you to another time. One of the garden's standout features is its preservation of historical architecture and artifacts. Ancient statues, ornate fountains, and architectural remnants from different periods are thoughtfully integrated into the landscape, providing a sense of continuity with the past. The garden's tranquility is truly captivating, offering a respite from the hustle and bustle of modern life. It's a place for contemplation, where you can sit on a weathered bench or under the shade of a time-worn tree and feel a deep connection to the history that surrounds you. Educational signage and guided tours are available, offering insights into the garden's historical significance, the species of plants it houses, and the stories of the people who once walked these same paths. For photographers and artists, the historical garden is a visual feast. Every angle presents a picturesque tableau, making it a favored spot for capturing the essence of the past through a lens or on canvas. In conclusion, the historical garden is a treasure trove of natural beauty and cultural significance. It's a place where history breathes, and where visitors can step back in time while enjoying the serenity of nature. Whether you're a history buff, a nature lover, or simply seeking a peaceful escape, this garden offers a truly enchanting experience.

Lodhi Garden in Delhi is a breath of fresh air, literally and figuratively. It's a huge park with greenery all around, making it a perfect escape from the city buzz. Walking in, you'll notice wide pathways, well-maintained lawns, and ancient tombs scattered throughout. The tombs give the park a historical touch – it's like nature and history decided to team up for a good time. The best part? It's not just a pretty place; it's super peaceful. People come here to jog, picnic, or just chill under the trees. The calm lake adds to the serenity, and you can even spot some ducks doing their thing. For fitness buffs, there's an open gym where you can break a sweat amidst the greenery. And if you're into photography, the garden is a goldmine for cool shots – from flowers to architectural wonders, it has it all. Lodhi Garden is a great spot for a casual hangout or a solo stroll. Whether you're a nature lover or someone who enjoys a bit of history with their fresh air, this place is a winner. Just grab a mat, a book, or some friends, and enjoy the good vibes.

One of the best places in Delhi for a morning walk! Green all through the year with a variety of flowering trees and plants. You can, walk, run, sit, read, take photos, spend time with friends and family. It gets crowded on weekends, so if you want to enjoy some quiet time, go there on week days. This place is quite safe, but gets a little dark and spooky in the evening, like most gardens in Delhi. So, I would prefer the mornings, specially if I am walking alone.

Lodhi Garden is a beautiful and serene park located in the heart of New Delhi. The garden is spread over 90 acres and is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The park is well-maintained and offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. One of the highlights of Lodhi Garden is the historical monuments that are scattered throughout the park. These include the tombs of the Lodhi dynasty, which date back to the 15th century. The architecture and design of these structures are truly impressive and provide a fascinating glimpse into Delhi's rich history. The garden itself is meticulously landscaped with lush greenery, colorful flowers, and winding pathways. It's a great place to take a leisurely stroll, have a picnic, or simply relax and enjoy the natural beauty. There are also plenty of shaded areas and benches where visitors can sit and soak in the peaceful atmosphere. Another notable feature of Lodhi Garden is the presence of various species of birds and butterflies, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers. The park is also home to a variety of trees, including ancient banyan trees and towering palms, adding to its overall charm. Overall, Lodhi Garden is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to escape the chaos of city life and immerse themselves in nature and history. Whether you're a history buff, a nature lover, or simply seeking a tranquil retreat, this park has something to offer for everyone. I highly recommend taking the time to explore Lodhi Garden if you find yourself in Delhi.

Super green, super flowery, super beautiful, super relaxing. The perfect place for a day out with friends or family for a picnic or even for a walk. Do make sure you read the background of all the structures if you're interested in the history of this place. 🌺

One of the historically rich park’s of Delhi. Three beautiful tombs of Lodhi dynasty rulers make it magnificent. There are enough well laid walking tracks n washrooms on every corner of the park. Many old trees n lush green ground around the historical monuments makes it magical. At this time of year, flowers are at full bloom especially the bougainvillea. Although over the years greenary is getting reduced, it is still one of the best parks in Delhi n home to many species of birds n different flowers. To accommodate the increased footfall new tracks are laid and green area’s shrinking. Tea, snacks n drinking water is available. Parking is always a messy affair there.

Lodi Gardens or Lodhi Gardens is a city park situated in New Delhi, India. Spread over 90 acres (360,000 m2),[1] it contains, Mohammed Shah's Tomb, Tomb of Sikandar Lodi, Shisha Gumbad and Bara Gumbad,[2] architectural works of the 15th century by Lodis - who ruled parts of northern India and Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of modern-day Pakistan, from 1451 to 1526. The site is now protected by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).[1]In the middle of the gardens is the Bara Gumbad ("Big Dome"), it consists of a large rubble-construct dome and is not a tomb[citation needed] but was constructed as a gateway to either the attached three domed masjid (mosque) or a large walled enclosure. Both the Bara Gumbad and the mosque were built in 1494 during the reign of Sikander Lodi, there is also a residence surrounding a central courtyard, where the remains of a water tank can be seen. Opposite the Bara Gumbad is the Shisha Gumbad ("mirror dome") for the glazed tiles used in its construction, which contains graves, whose occupants are not clearly identifiable (either an unknown family of Sikandar Lodi's court or Bahlul Lodi).[3][4]Further into the gardens, are remains of a watercourse which connects the Yamuna River to Tomb of Sikandar Lodi. This tomb still has the battlements enclosing it. Nearby to Sikander's tomb is the Athpula ("Eight Piered") Bridge, the last of the buildings in Delhi, built during the reign of Mughal Emperor Akbar,[5] it contains seven arches, amongst which the central one being the largest. The tomb of Mohammed Shah, the last of the Sayyid dynasty rulers, the earliest of the tombs in the garden, was built in 1444 by Ala-ud-din Alam Shah as a tribute to Mohammed Shah. The tomb is octagonal in shape, with numerous ornamental Hindu-style chhatris around the central dome, numerous arches, verandahs and sloping buttresses. There are turrets at each corner. The main tomb is supported by a 16-sided drum. It is of a flattened type and is surrounded by chhatris, which make it look diminutive compared to its substantially larger base. Several years later, the Tomb of Sikandar Lodi seems to have been copied from this Sayyid tomb.[6] As there is little architecture from these two periods remaining in India, Lodi Gardens is an important place of preservation. The tomb of Mohammed Shah is visible from the road, and is the earliest structure in the gardens. It is a good example of a combination of the Hindu and Islamic styles of architecture. The Hindu features include eight chhatris, each of them capped by a lotus finial with a decorative band around the base; corner ornamental pinnacles (guldastas)and chhajja.[7]

Visited here early in the morning and i can say that it is very well maintained and the overall peace and tranquility is so amazing. Has a beautiful bonsai garden too and there are multiple entries and exit which makes it very convenient. The tombs are spread out throughout the garden and each of these have a very different look and ambience. Must go for any first timer in Delhi. P.S.: lot of squirrels trying to fetch food from the visitors so you can pick some fruits or nuts for them but please don't litter. The swans and ducks move away but are peaceful.

Got a chance to visit in the scorching summer afternoon. But the place was cool and calm. The place is really very good, and it covers a wider area. Good for a morning and evening walk. A large track is mainly built to serve the purpose. And to chill out with friends. Also there were several water bodies in which water birds and different kinds of fish were there. A place for butterflies was there. Also, there were several tombs that were there to be explored. Good place to visit.

Extremely well maintained and beautiful gardens. Perfect for a nice walk. Cooler in the mornings and evenings. Lot of shade everywhere in the park so afternoon walks in the sun aren't bad either. It's very clean. There's lots of flora and Fauna to explore, as well as monuments with historical significance. Washrooms are spread out throughout the park.

A pretty garden, tombs and nursery at each step. You can go for daily walks here if you live nearby Or to cherish the Architecture! the atmosphere is pretty lovely. Or plan a perfect picnic here! A fairly large area, you can have a picnic spot in the shadow of tree with a beautiful tomb view. Visit in early morning or at 5pm if you are going in the evening. Nothing much to do around but to sit and look at tombs, flowers and have a Lovely walk. Really Safe area.

Pros- 1. A very beautiful place. 2. Full of amazing plants. 3. It has a lake and ducks. 4. Historical Monument. 5. Calm and peaceful environment. 6. FREE and best place to do yoga and exercise. Cons- 1. Too many couples, sometime it becomes awkward for family members to roam around. THAT'S THE ONLY CON.

Lodhi Garden consists of a few notable historical structures – tombs, lake, Athpula - an eight pillared bridge, and much more. And the beauty of it lies significantly in its architectural styles. I always visit this place because I can feel the nature here.

Such a wide park, garden area, I've ever seen. There were many tombs, backyard, play area and walking/jogging lane. We can play, workout, dance, jog, run and do whatever without disturbing anyone.. we can eat there. There's many long benches to sit and relax. Can see many people spending quality time. No entry fees. Parking was there. Opening 5.30am and closing by 8pm Have a nice time :)

A lush green garden with multiple historical monuments inside it. The landscape of the whole park looks organic and very well planned. There are waterbodies, fountains, canopies, green mounds, terrain land, landscaped gardens, bridges, curated plant nurseries and a variety of sitting spaces. A wonderful place if you need your weekend to be more calm and peaceful. Spaces remain clean, there vendors roaming around you can buy savouries from. Though the lighting in the evening can be a bit better.

The garden is huge and cover a vast area. The garden is decently maintained though can see some loitering at corners. Since there's plenty of trees around, the air is fresh and offer peace of mind around the garden. The garden is accompanied by old monumental structure. The structure itself give us an idea on how construction of buildings were done in early times. In short, basically it is an garden with a few old monumental structure. Best for recreational activities and to relieve oneself

Inside, you'll find fountains and lake where you can observe ducks and geese. It's a great spot for jogging/exercise with designated tracks, and you can bring your dog as long as it’s on a leash. I noticed some people bringing food, suggesting it's a suitable place for picnics. So, feel free to pack your own food and something to sit on for a pleasant time with your loved ones. There aren't any food carts inside, so consider bringing snacks and water since it's a large area that might take some time to explore. During my visit, I encountered numerous beautiful plants and flowers, making it an ideal time to explore for people who like spending some quality time in nature. Pictures are attached :)

Here are some of the highlights of the park based on the search results: Green Spaces: The park is spread over 90 acres and has well-maintained grass, trees, and jogging/walking tracks Old Remains and Carvings: The park features several structures built just before the Mughals reign by previous Muslim rulers. The buildings radiate vibrant golds and oranges, and birds sing at full volume as sunset approaches. Duck House and Lovely Lake: The park has a pond with lots of ducks, and it is a habitat for migratory birds, making it an excellent place to see the birds The park also has a duck house, which is a bit Greek in style, like a castle. Overall, Lodhi Gardens is a must-visit place in Delhi, especially if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy some peace and quiet. The park is free, easy to find, and well-maintained, making it a perfect place for a family picnic, jog, or walk

Delhi can be tiring and Lodhi Garden offers a place to rest. It is beautiful with well maintained greenery, a nice pond, squirrels everywhere and safe environment. The monuments of architecture are very interesting to those keen on history and a good visit, allowing exploring the garden at own pace requires a couple of hours. If you want to arrange a picnic there the time is yours and the place is great for a family meeting, a walk with children or a birthday meeting with friends...

It was a much needed sanctuary and oasis of calm in New Delhi, away from the madness of the inner city where I was staying. As soon as I walked down the path and wandered around the old ruins, I felt a sense of peace descend on me. It was the tonic I needed after eight frantic days of travel, sightseeing, and wedding festivities.

It is a good place for morning running or evening walks... There are many good picnic spots and many washrooms.. there is a lake in the middle where you can spot some exotic birds during their migratory season. Also this park is filled with beggars who will keep asking you for monetary favour if you are relaxing on a bench.

It is a nice place to hangout with family and your loved ones. Calm and serene space. It can also be a good picnic spot. A great place for history and art enthusiasts to go. The government needs to better maintain these sites and monuments.
