Only thing missing is the design and appearance of the station from outside. Being the railway station of National Capital, the appearance should have been much more elegant.

An ironic and major railway station in India. Lot of connected trains to all parts of India and has a decent waiting area for the passengers. There is a AC waiting hall but is only open for the passengers with AC class ticket. There's also a IRCTC food plaza which serves verity of food and has a good sitting arrangement. There's plastic bottle recycling machine installed at the station which encourages passengers to recycle plastic by giving rewards for each bottle recycled. Upon exiting the station, we can find different public transport options available to them. The staff at the station are very helpful and will help you with all your nuanced queries.

A very well connected but extremely overcrowded railway station. It's direct in the heart of the new delhi city. Security is a cause of concern I believe as it's very loose. You can't rely only on metal detectors for everything. Can you? Cleanliness is not perfect but satisfactory. Most of the major tastings originate from here. New Delhi metro station is lying here on yellow line of Delhi metro. Bus depot is nearby as well as other connectivity options. Multiple food options are there inside as well as just nearby the metro station which is stone throw distance from the entrance.

Also have numerous platforms and due to Covid-19, entry of auto, cab has been restricted inside the station but once you come out of the station you will get plenty of them. Being Delhi you have to expect some level of unhygienic circumstances, smell and crowd. But this is your expectation already then you won't be disappointed by cleanliness maintained. Though entrance have huge amount of crowd who are just sleeping lying or sitting their waiting for their trains hours before it's arrival, being the Indian tradition and all to reach 5 hours before but still at least it's clean, constables everywhere. Cute stray dogs to keep you entertained, a mixture of smoke, smell of urine near rail line and add the noise of engine and theirs horns. You are sure to get nostalgia here. Escalator works fine, general security. Sawari apne samaan ki khud zimmedaar hai, dont eat out much if you don't like public restroom. Big junction with lots of well maintained ac retiring rooms. Lift scanner toll paid parking food juncture all other facilities are available. No food court available near platform 16. Executive lounge lunch dinner unlimited buffet available but no parcel facility. Just some usual snacks stall like package drinks, biscuits, cake available. Water n cold drinks tea also available but no lunch dinner. Just jan aahar is there.

Clean and maintained properly , waiting rooms have plenty space but charging points are less . There are a lots of hotels and restaurants just in front of the main entrance. The paharganj main market is just at walking distance from here. In winter times the trains get rescheduled very often which is a very big problem.

The expectations was not that grand. Too many people. Since new delhi is the capital of india lot more was expected from the location. The entry and exit was quite congested. But I got a very smooth and clean road once i took the bypass road.

Going to Chandigarh from platform no. 10. Platform is clean . Clean water available on every platform which is a big relief during sweltering heat. But escalator from the metro station skybridge was inoperational. Carrying two medium sized suitcases over the stairs was punishing. Cooli offered his services for RS 100 and offered to slash it to RS 50. Politely refused. Apart from minor inconveniences the railways deserves kudos for making travelling comfortable. Top marks.

New Delhi Railway Station is located in the heart of Old Delhi and very near to Sadar Bazar, Chandani Chowk and Connaught Place. Area just outside this place is always crowded. Parking is big problem towards Paharganj side. Very difficult to pass even 10 minutes waiting for train.

Administration was very good. Cleanliness was average. Cloak room was very expensive compared with other stations. Good response from when asked for help.
