Visited Goa Niwas canteen called Gabriella's Kitchen for lunch. Unlike many other bhawan canteens, this place has a good ambience, decor, good music and has a full goan eatery vibe. It's a very cozy and rustic place. Good part is that they allow parking for people who are just visiting the canteen, which most of the other bhawans don't. We went for a Sunday lunch. So, there was a waiting for about 10 mins but the food was worth the wait. Staff is very cordial, and the service was prompt. They also helped us in ordering. We ordered peri peri prawns, fish curry, and pork sorpotel. The service was very quick even though they had a full house with almost all the tables occupied . The food was delicious, adequately portioned, and decently priced. All in all, it was a great experience, and would love to go back again. It is a must try place for all those who are looking for an authentic goan food experience in Delhi.

Okay, so I concentrated on the sea food, being goa and all. The dishes i tasted had flavour and spice, could do with a bit more zing to it (personal opinion). I think giving an option upfront would be good. I also think, it is a bit up on the pricy side. But, the important q is will i go back there again, Yes I want to try a couple of things more to satisfy my gastronomic urges !

Visited eating joint at Goa Niwas for some yummy seafood. Tried prawn peri peri with pav, king fish rava fry, sol curry and goan coconut prawn curry with Rice. The restaurant was open for lunch but empty. Still Delhites have not come out of covid pandemic. Food was very tasty, typical konkani but priced at higher side. With three persons our bill was 2500 bucks which is very high I think. All foods were freshly prepared. However I missed the taste of Panaji. Staff were very cooperative and polite. There is ample parking space inside. Worth a visit though costly.Rating 4/5. Sadly restaurant in Odissa niwas has been closed which was its competitor for prawns and seafish though with different type of preparation.

Food is good. Lacs professional services. No Cr/Dr card accepted.

It would seem you have entered a gaint size hall with every color that you can spot is already there in your view. A place for seafood lovers. However, our expectations were a bit high than what it was for butter garlic prawns or the coconut curry. Prices are not pocket-friendly. Visit here if you're looking forward to a quiet and peaceful lunch.

Hi, you will find this place as if a mini Goa. For some time you will forget that you are in Delhi. The food is good, testy and authentic. The menu is displayed in a board and the decoration is interesting as if no body is taking care and it's just natural. Children will defenightly enjoy so also elders. Two girls managed the restaurant. Cost is fine. If you love see food then this is an another option for you to try.

The place was nice as It is located in chanakyapuri which has many options for cabs and autos. Also it is close to Sarojini market. The rooms were very average as compared to the price.Bathrooms also were not that clean.Goa Niwas canteen is currently not in operation so goans cannot eat homely food or similar dishes inspite of staying there. The staff is very hospitable and quick.Very less amount of people stay in this place hence you feel alone many times.Overall I'll say there are many other better places to stay at a cheaper price.

Neat and clean rooms but the interior needs to be renovated as it is old school. Bed sheets were also old. They should improve some quality of bedsheets, pillow covers and towels as it is maintained by Goa government. Swimming pool is also not in use. Building is of good quality just this small small things which needs to be taken care of. One thing I would like to take up is that bigger size TV is not available here. 17" led is available. They must put 32" TV. No AC remote available as it is central AC. Restaurant is maintained by Goan which is not in proper state. All his person belongings are kept in the restaurant area and it is not not properly maintained. You will get good fish items but vegetarians please stay away from this. Tea and coffee are good.

As soon as you entered the restaurant you get the feeling that you are in Goa itself. The place is so colourful. Has each and every ingredient to feel you mesmerized. Icing in the cake is the quality of food . I have been to Goa twice before. But I never found the quality which this Goa niwas restaurant is offering. Worth trying. Get your kids there . They will enjoy more than you there. And don't forget to order chocolate pudding at the end.

Went to their restaurant/canteen. Viva la Viva or sumptin' like that it's called. Like all other Niwas canteens, it's not very special i terms of the look n feel, but the owners have tried to make it special by adding knick knacks (chintz more like it), to give that Goa walla feelings the great north indian looks for. Typical to the point of being formulaic. Food wise, their menu is more true to Goan cuisine, though obviously mata ji wasn't on it. But types of and varieties of the types was seemingly plentiful. Taste n' portions were good enough for one person (a hog like me, though felt it too little). The pao was fresh, and made the meal a whole lot more sumptuous. Service wasn't fast or slow, probably just right, and the staff demeanour wasn't overtly friendly nor was it any less. Don't know how they'd fare during the peak summer months, as the air con looked positively dilapidated. Nice place to go to, should you crave inexpensive sea food. (watch Seaspiracy on Netflix)

We went to the restaurant within Goa Niwas in Chanakyapuri for lunch. The place has a nicely done carnival type setting. The food (fish curry, fry) was fresh and tasty. The desserts were unique and sumptuous too.

If you are looking for that Goa cusine in Dwlhi then this is the place. They serve the most autistic Goan cuisine right in the hear of Delhi at Viva o Viva.
