We went there just for lunch to celebrate an occassion. I will be honest, from the car parking till the restaurant, we didn't get any feel of it being a Taj property. Somehow, after lunch we decide to explore other areas of the resort and we were surprised to see lush green lawns and a sprawling property that had everything to offer for a nice vacation. The Taj element finally came in and we had a nice time spending some more time there. They just need to improve their front landscape and improve the variety in the buffet. Rest everything is amazing!

Beautiful and prestine lake in the midst of uninhabited forest area. Ideal for hiking and heaven for off-road bikers. Water in the lake is clean and looks deep. Make sure to have some company along, and don't dare to swim in the lake as lake bed is rocky and filled with thick vegetation which might trap you. Warning: Don't go without prior information regarding safety and route.

It is nice silent place away from the chaos of metro life. Very relaxing. Very good food, chef really cared about the kids, for my child he even prepared a special pasta. Nice set of activities (except swimming#). Staff was courteous and very helpful. Rooms are spacious and with all the amenities. [-2 ** ] However, I felt that the Taj group needs to invest a lot on maintenance, as property looked neglected and the price we paid for was exorbitant for such a property. # Due to COVID19 scenario the swimming pool was not operational.

    1. Property is awesome. They upgraded my deluxe room to suite. 2. Thank you for the complimentry cake and bed decoration. 3. The Adventure zone was awesome. One should visit with family and kids. 4. Food was also good. 5. Try to avoid breakfast at pick time. Otherwise you may be disappointed by the service.

The place is good, you can visit there with group. But please don't spoil the beauty of the place. Last time we visited we cleaned the place.

We had a great time at Taj Damdama. It's quite a silent place to be with nature and at peace. It's around 10km inside from the NH and constructed within a village. the rooms are spacious, and the food is good (bit expensive) and staff is courteous. Suggest people to go there overnight and have fun and family time.

One of worst experience you will ever get to this property. It’s under construction apart from that food is pathetic, tasteless, room washroom not cleaned, tap is leaking. No clean up over all place. This is not Taj property. pls don’t come here. Even they don’t know how to make cold coffee. Head chef Mr. Sanjay everything is bad. Hotel staff don’t know how to handle guests. Room cleanliness is pathetic..worst worst worst

Lake is really superb.. But not safe as it formed due to illegal mining so is very very deep that too a sudden slope of many 100s feet. Also not safe to go in alone or small group, always go during early morning hours and in group size of 15-20+ local do trouble and few robbery incidents heard as well.

It was amazing spending a day here. The rooms are very basic but bathrooms are huge and lavish. Also, its a huge property with much greenery. The rich breakfast was the best part of my visit.

Hotel is good but I believe location is not good. The roads are narrow and situated near by villages. However rooms are good, management is good.

Extremely bad experience. It was a spur of moment plan for my folks wedding anniversary. The plan was to go roam and relax around Damdama lake (more pond) and have a wholesome lunch at Taj Gateway. The lake is in shambles and Taj disappointed us with not even allowing us to enter the property because somebody had booked the whole place. I don't hail from hotel industry but even I know out of respect that if you have guests who are walk in, you don't treat them this way. They have 3 friggin restaurants inside! And to top it off, they didn't answer any of the 10 calls I made them to check the night before and in the morning!!! Nevertheless we came back with a bad taste and a ruined day.

Visited on 14th August with family and experience was really sad. Nothing close to a Taj experience. On arriving there was no one to take the car and carry the luggage. Check-in was also not guided and looked complete chaos. Room service is slow and needed reminders. Ordered chicken biryani and pasta in lunch. Pasta was good however the biryani was not upto the mark. Would recommend to stay away.

Nice resort to stay or having a get together here. Nice staff with almost all facilities available here. It reaches the name "TAJ", they also organise parties and weddings you just have to just ask for it and they'll do that in few time. I am and my family is totally satisfied from resort facilities and all other things.

Doesn't feel like a Taj Group property. The fans in the room had dirty blades. The washrooms were nice though. Beds were comfortable and it was quiet and relaxing. The activities like wall climbing, archery, zip line etc. are good. Food was really very delicious. (Tipping hat to the chefs). Overall, was a good experience but rating low because expectations were much higher.

What a run down property. From a bad check in experience to the food experience everything has been terrible. The property is not maintained at all, it’s dusty, dirty and broken. The rooms are average too Something you look forward to- a good holiday breakfast also has been a terrible experience. The spread was super limited with three people there to serve. So you ended up doing everything yourself including picking cutlery and water. No fun elements for kids when it’s a resort for family vacation Never ever coming back here or recommending this to anyone

Spa Treatment I got a β€œrelax” spa treatment done which was quite relaxing and refreshing. The aroma oil made it all the more soothing. Big thank you to Ms. Priya who did it wonderfully. She was quite welcoming, sweet & had good knowledge of things which made the experience fab!

Very nice ambience.. We went for dinner and food served was awesome. Staff were polite . I recommend this place especially if you are going with kids. There were two options for dinning with separate dinning hall. In one hall only buffet was served and in other one a’ la carte so no more rush. You can sit for long and enjoy the food and ambience.

It was an awesome experience visiting Taj gateway with my family and kid. The staff was extra polite and very helpful in making our stay comfortable and wonderful. Special thanks to Karan, Parnami and Sadab for putting extra efforts and arranging some surprises as it was a bday occassion. Kudos to the entire team Would definitely recommend everyone to visit the place if you have infant with you.

First of all, the location of the resort is simply stunning. Situated on the edge of a crystal-clear blue sea, surrounded by lush greenery, it truly feels like a paradise on earth. The views from every angle are breathtaking, and the serene atmosphere instantly put me in a state of relaxation. The staff at the resort are also worth mentioning. Every single person I encountered was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed, and always had a smile on their face. The service was exceptional, and it really added to the overall experience.

The place is overall good but due to construction going on everywhere, most things could not be explored including pool area, etc. We booked a superior room with garden view but the view we got was that of construction only. The food was average but hospitality was okay. There were additional activities available at chargeable basis, good for engagement.

The first experience (check in) at the hotel was a bit rocky and unpleasant (sorry for the ruckus though) since Taj has gotten too strict about not allowing speakers into the rooms! Understood!!! Rules would be followed only if Taj would understand that it’s not a business hotel but a resort and majority of people would visit/book the property in order to relax and rejuvenate or celebrate occasions away from the hustle and bustle of the city.. And music is an essential part of it!!! Don’t allow guests their speakers since they may vary (from small to huge) but keep yours (whatever suits you) in each room as the tv speakers don’t do the justice for the music lovers! The bass is pathetic! The staff at the reception wasn’t at fault since they were doing their job however will always face the brunt for this rigidness!!! A lot of hotels provide their own speakers like St. Regis! Anyway, Debmallya was helpless in this case however extremely helpful in others! He kinda made up for this by extending some really kind gestures and courtesies! Our kid got sick in the middle of the night and TARUN AND JATIN at the restaurant were extremely helpful as far as the food was concerned! Sending him khichadi and making sure parents could eat something since they skipped the meal cause of stress! People at the front were helpful too! Deb gave us a call back in the morning to check on our lil ones health, means a lot! Thank you πŸ™πŸ» Keep up the good work! For us the whole experience went downhill however we would be back once the construction work is completed to enjoy the services at the hotel in its full glory!

I recently had the privilege of staying at this remarkable hotel, and I must say, it was nothing short of fabulous. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted by a genuinely warm and welcoming staff that set the tone for the entire visit. The room was a haven of comfort and style, with a perfect blend of spaciousness, immaculate cleanliness, and tasteful decor. It provided a retreat where I could relax and unwind after a long day of exploring the city. The hotel's amenities exceeded my expectations. The pool area was inviting and well-maintained, and the well-equipped fitness center allowed me to maintain my workout routine. What truly impressed me was the on-site restaurant, which served delectable dishes that tantalized my taste buds. The breakfast spread was a delightful way to start each day with a variety of options to choose from. What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional level of customer service. The staff went above and beyond to cater to my every need, from providing recommendations for local attractions to ensuring my room was perfectly set up. Their willingness to make my stay truly special left a lasting impression. Moreover, the hotel's location is ideal. It offers easy access to the city's main attractions, shopping districts, and dining options. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, this hotel serves as the perfect hub for your stay. In summary, my experience at this hotel was nothing short of fabulous. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a combination of comfort, luxury, and exceptional service. It's a place where you can create lasting memories and feel truly pampered.

Awesome and beautiful place for adventure in the morning and day time only. But not the safest place for single or two or three peoples if you want to go there, always go with your groups. And highly recommend that not to go in the lake or not to bath over there its really harmful due to deepest water level of lake. 5 star rating only for its nature and beauty. Otherwise it's very dangerous due to predators and many others dangerous animals.

Near to Damdama Lake. The sole reason I think, there are roads here in this area is because of Taj πŸ˜‚. Otherwise, a complete village area. Good option for day outs, in corporates. Have big grounds, big enough to play outdoor games like Cricket, Badminton and others. Also, have indoor games like TT. Overall, a good set-up.

  • 5/5 Sahil J. 4 years ago on Google
The place is just about an hour away from the nearest metro station in Gurgaon. The property is really well made with various outdoor facilities that can be enjoyed like archery, shooting, badminton, tennis, swimming to name a few. It is a perfect getaway destination for families and friends alike.

Mornings and evenings are so beautiful here, soft breeze, birds chirping grass with dews, butterflies all around, awesome atmosphere for morning and evening walks. The experience is not Taj standard at all. Everything is dirty and even basic hygiene is not maintained even in covid times which was shocking. The staff all the way to the GM do not care about service because the place is usually sold out due to lack of options in the area. BEST AVOIDED !!

The ambience was great. A nice place for a relaxing week-end. But all the fun activities are paid here, which are freely available at other resorts. Also, due to covid, there was a lack of staff and hospitality experience was not so great. The food was also good.

I love the property. I enjoyed a lot on my previous stay in 2020 Jan. But feb 21. They have taken groups and not able to manage. Staff is courteous. They are super understaffed. They should keep the groups seperate and maintain their. Service level for regular guests. Spa was good. Maybe that was best part of the stay.

Rooms were cottage style, neat and hygienic. The property is huge. Lush green open areas to play quite a number of sports and do activities. Food was Ok. Few items that we ordered in dinner, specially Khade masale ka mutton was not upto the mark. Breakfast spread was good and taste was comparatively better. Overall a nice outing for the family.

Location is nice but reaching Location is not.. roads are through village which are not well built. Rooms are nice. But it takes 35 mins for your order of food to come. Service is poor or slow. Otherwise lunch and dinner is tasty. Quantity of North Indian is good but Chinese quantity is less. Breakfast is average...

It was a nice experience. Can visit again. Pro : Nice greenery with scenic view. Cooperative staff. Delicious food. Nice property with almost all the decent amenities. Cons: Room size could have been bigger. Few facilities like rope climbing, mountain climbing and other sports equipments were not maintained.

Room was spacious. 24*7 helpdesk is prompt. Dryer in my room wasn't working, on complain it was changed within minutes. Food was great and so was hospitality. Liked the lush green ambience. The only turn down is location, it is located quite far from highway and the multiple speed breakers make the journey inimical.

Truly a getaway ! The greenery , all the space, the rooms, the sit-outs, the bathrooms; all were wonderful! The kids were happy on their scooters and cycles ! The golf car ride became another fun-filled activity for the kids ! There was bungee jumping, camel riding, rope climbing and a lot more ! Just one thing which was a little unexpected was the very limited breakfast buffet menu ! All in all a wonderful stay !

Great place nestled in Aravali foothills close to the Damdama Lake. Good for family and group stays. Have facilities such as spa, gym, swimming pool, outdoor activities, indoor games and restaurant with delicious food. The bar has a good variety of liquors.

the road to reach the resort was adventurous at best, since it ran through miles of village areas where the roads were thin and lanes were non existent. However, since we had a booking with the resort we arrived on time ~30 mins before the 3pm check-in, and it seemed that the mid-week was a great time to enjoy the calm of this resort because it was not at all crowded (that changed over the weekend when they were completely sold-out... but we were scheduled to check-out by Fri). It immediately struck us as to how lush the property had been kept, because the photos show a view of the adjoining hills (the Aravalli's) even though in reality you could only see it once you got to the first floor due to the thick foliage. the calm and peace was a welcome change from the buzy and relentless life of the city, and the friendly staff left no stone unturned to provide great hospitality to this family of 4 with a toddler in the mix who obviously needed some relaxation. Naveen (hotel manager) saw the opportunity to help out and upgraded us to a deluxe garden facing room. Naveen has been very accommodative towards the kids and sent over coloring paper and crayons and a couple of other board games over to our room especially since the kids indoor play area was still shut due to covid. the room felt spacious with a bathroom to match, but we were getting read to jump into the pool which had opened up that week itself (disclaimer- they had to close the pool the very next day due to some complications related to licensing). The property was a sprawling and in that heat the only best way to get to the adventure park was via the golf cart that was made available to those who requested. the food was delicious (Indian food absolutely hit the mark, and other cuisines were good as well), the chef took the time to come over and check-in with us to ensure that our experience was delightful which was a great gesture since my wife got a complimentary gulab jamuns. Time flew by and soon it was time to head back to the buzz of the city ... and Naveen was very courteous to see if he can schedule a cab for us and made the check out process a breeze. Will definitely recommend to anyone who wants a quick getaway from Delhi NCR.

It's a Taj property. It's pretty spread out. The rooms are big with a nice sit out. The bad part is the approach road. Especially if you are travelling at night, the approach road is pretty isolated. I don't think it's advisable to enter or leave the property after dark.

A lovely resort for a day trip. No need to book in advance .we were a group of 12 persons walked in their Buzz multispeciality restaurant for a leisurely lunch. Their staff catered to our order of diverse tastes with elan . Post lunch a walk in the gardens of the resort was a lovely way to spend our time. It also has a host of paid activities for kids who also enjoyed their time there.

Experience is like a 3 star hotel at best. Cleanliness is not maintained and staff seems less. Add to that the exhorbitant pricing, and this place is not value for money at all

The staff of this resort is very less that impact to guest hospitality. The luggage area are the most disappointing area I ever in any 5 star hotel. Only 2 bellboy in the luggage area that delayed the guest luggage to the room. Very poor staff

Reasons to go to this resort: 1. The food. The food is delicious. 2. The activities. Zipline, Bungee Jumping, Archery and so much more! 3. The peace. Away from the city, and surrounded with nature. 4. The rooms. Spacious and beautiful. 5. The staff is very helpful. 6. The resort is perfect for kids and adults alike. There are game rooms, a pool and a spa. Hope to go there again someday!

Given what we got the feedback about the property we are not at all impressed during our visit to this property with the family. Adventure games were hardly adventurous!! Food was average/ spicy and service was pathetic...Not a pleasant experience at all will not recommend.

The place was beautiful.. good to visit one time. The food on the other hand was fine. Not great but can't complain either. Location is peaceful but you can get lost on the way because there are alot of villages nearby. Good for a weekend getaway if you are from Delhi ncr.

Huge property with lots of greenery, clean rooms and a restaurant nicely located on the first floor with indoor and outdoor seating, overlooking at the Aravalli hills. Special thanks to the restaurant staff. Ramvilas, Ishwar and Ganesh were great in serving us at the restaurant. My wife loved the spa and Nidhi Nigam did a great job. Staff was polite and helpful. The New Year’s Eve was well planned by following all covid protocols. Food and arrangement was great.. They have lots of adventure activities for all age groups like Zip line, Camel Ride, Badminton, Table tennis, cricket, football etc. My 5 year old son loved the property and didn’t want to come back. They even surprised us by packing some donuts, paranthas and muffin on the day of checkout. It was a great gesture. And lighting during the night was good with no dark passages. It felt safe to take a stroll at the night. I have been to the other resort in Sohna with a big brand name but lighting at night was pathetic. Thanks to the entire staff. We will visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at the resort. Entire staff was very polite and took care of every small detail, starting from the front desk staff, Manager, restaurant staff, porters. The resort also has great activities for the kids. Spa services were great too. Priya from the Spa made sure that the massage was very relaxing and very comfortable. After the session, it felt like we were walking on clouds, it was truly a wonderful experience. We will definitely go back there again!!

The gardener , the front desk, Spa, Staff at the adventure activities area. They were all so welcoming . Definitely coming back soon 😊

Approach is not good. Power failures are common (though power backup is available but it is annoying). Attended a conference. Arrangements were good Good is average. Ambience is good. Staff is cooperative. Services are good. Room was neat and clean though the floor made some noise when walked upon. Property is sprawling.

We booked a one night stay for our friends' 50th Birthday. The property is beautiful but the service is not upto Taj Brand mark. The food was decent but again they need to have better trained service guys. The pool was closed due to renovation which was told to us in advance so they had kept rain dance which was fun but we came to know about it only much later and could only enjoy for some time. They have a lot of outdoor activities but they CHARGE for pretty much EVERYTHING!! The staff did help with room decorations and free cake, which was really yummy.

Taj Gateway Damdama We had the worst experience at this hotel. It happened to be our 3rd visit to the hotel and it falls from grace so poorly. Our horrid experience started from the reception itself. Aa soon as we entered the hotel, at check in, we were informed that the hotel does not allow Bluetooth speakers in the room. We were not informed about this earlier and the staff was just not willing to listen or co-operate. The staff didn't have the slightest sense that when the guest arrives at the hotel, you should let them catch a breath and hear them out atleast. Even though we for a pre call from the hotel, we were nor informed of such a policy. What's is absurd is that the hotel doesn't care of the other covid norms are being flouted freely. We were checked in late in our room with the housekeeping staff still scrambling to somehow clean the room. The pool is under renovation, the rooms are in total disrepair, there is no mini bar and worst of all, the electricity keeps going off after every 30 minutes. It's unbelievable that we had no water in the bathroom for 20 minutes because of these frequent power cuts. There is severe staff shortages and the higher management clearly have no understanding on how to run the hotel. The property seems to be poorly maintaned and has lizards roaming all over the restaurant area. The staff remains unresponsive on calls and during our check out time, we were made to wait for over 40 minutes for the trolley to arrive to take our luggage. There are hardly any activities for kids, their playroom is under repair so they have converted 2 rooms temporarily that have just one table tennis table and pool table in a bad state just thrown in...no board games, toys, nothing else is there with no one in attendance. This hotel is not at all reflective of the professionalism and the high service standard that the Taj hotel are known for. The only saving grace is their f&b staff. They did try to make up for all the other failings that this hotel has but once the experience has been soured to that extent, there is very little that the hotel can do to make it even tolerable. Everything else falls through. We were just waiting for our 2 days to get over somehow so that we can get out of the hell-whole that this hotel is. This was our third visit and we are still reeling under the shock how things have dipped so drastically. Do yourself and your family a favour and save yourself from the utter disappoinment that this hotel now stands for.

We visited the resort in the weekend and had lots of fun . I really liked the food and ambiance of the whole place. Enjoyed few activities like archery and paint ball shooting. Also I came with my pet dog and he was thrilled and dearly welcomed here. I also took spa treatment which was efficiently done by miss Nidhi. The whole stay was extremely relaxing and comfortable.

Such a good vibe to this place. Far from the hustle bustle of the city yet close. The place is just too quiet Very well maintained Food pricing is a little on the higher side and you'll have no other options and have to depend on the resort. However, it tastes pretty good, so somehow justifies the cost. The staff is courteous and professional. The walk around the property is a bliss Highly recommended

Beautiful landscaping, lush green lawns, sit outs, and play areas, a coffee or tea counter could have worked wonders!! Listening to birds and soaking in the shades n sun !! Indoors overlooked the lush greens and became a part of your surroundings, a book corner here n there would have been welcome, rooms comfortable true to taj style but opened up completely with little privacy a screen at main door would help here. Food a delight , live music , not my kind but was there, hospitable place too short a time perhaps next visit.great place for family, kids , elders, everyone will have something to soak in. Perfect weekend getaway

So recently been here for three days and two nights. Friendly staff, lovely ambiance and the services was really good. Food could've been better. There was not much of a options available when it comes to lunch and dessert options were also minimal. Apart from that, this is a hugely spread out property and there are things to be explored when you come as a team of more than 10. Swimming area and few other places were under renovation which was little put off. Nevertheless, had a great experience here.

Excellent experience. Lots of greenery, spacious cottages and a very courteous staff. Buffet was an excellent experience. Some of our family members do not take onion and garlic, their chef Mr Praveen made sure that sumptuous options were available. The swimming pool however was under renovation.

Gateway Resort Damdama turned out to be a pleasant surprise even for a well-travelled wanderer like me. It was all that I wanted and more. Just a 45 minute drive from Gurgaon, nestled in bucolic surroundings, the resort has a sprawling campus with immaculate landscaping. The rooms are spacious and so are the bathrooms - a very big plus for me. There are plenty of activities to keep you occupied throughout the day. At the same time, it's quite a peaceful escape. The food is fabulous! You keep coming back for more. The icing on the cake is the friendly staff - very polite and courteous.

My retreat at the Gateway lakeside resort was nothing short of enchanting. The restaurant offered culinary delights against the backdrop of breathtaking lake views, while the pool and spa provided serene relaxation amid nature's beauty. The resort's easy navigation through scenic pathways made exploration effortless. The conference facilities, seamlessly integrated into the picturesque surroundings, offered a perfect blend of work and leisure. The attentive staff ensured a delightful experience, elevating the resort to a realm of tranquility. Remarkably, this idyllic haven of natural beauty comes at a reasonable cost, making it a treasure trove for those seeking luxury in harmony with nature. A resort that effortlessly combines scenic grandeur with affordability.

The location is good and the surroundings are quiet. The lake close by is not maintained; Taj should push the government to enhance its beauty Rooms are of good size, the washroom is as big as a small bed room, however the bathing area is not maintained (I spotted fungus on the walls)
