Had a wonderful Food Tour of Delhi with Raj and his lovely wife and would highly recommend this tour to anyone how is visiting Delhi. Raj really knows his stuff and all the food was outstanding including the history of the food. We walked and rode through Old Delhi and visited the Spice Markets, we then moved to New Dehli and tasted Indian food that was influenced by the British (this included a visit to the Sikh Temple to view their amazing Kitchen that feeds 25,000 people a day). There was no rush in the tour, it was at a very leisurely pace; the 6 hours tour when by very quickly and in the end we were full of Food and History. Do it, you will not regret it.

Our tour with Raj and his team far exceeded my already high expectations. We were a large group of students in India for one week of study, and it was a challenge to get us all through the very busy streets of Old Delhi without losing people. But Raj's team were experts and got us from one place to another safely and efficiently. As for the food, it was delicious, and Raj's explanations were informative and fun. I've always loved Indian food, but I have a much deeper appreciation for it now. Many in our group told me that this was their favorite activity in India, and I agree. I highly recommend booking this tour -- start to finish, it was a wonderful experience and Raj and his team are true professionals. (Also, in case you're wondering about the likelihood of getting sick... we were a group of 25 and nobody did.)

Being a first time visitor to India this tour was everything and more that I needed as an introduction to this country's wonderful cuisine. My guide, Aditya was a font of knowledge both of the foods and culture. As a mature, solo female traveller, I felt very safe and comfortable. Highly recommended!

We loved the food there. I had no idea that it's possible to find so many different types of a food dishes in the city. It was all great and we enjoyed it.

We had a great time during our private food tour in Old-Delhi with our guide Jaidev. He brought us to many different places "off the beaten path", we would never have visited ourselves and enjoyed every single dish served! Jaidev was very knowledgeable and adapted very well to our interests. Absolute recommendation!

We could not recommend this food tour enough! We had Jaidev for our tour and he was absolutely excellent. Great communication before, meet was easy to find and then we were off! Went to a really broad selection of places, all of which were delicious. Felt like we had the VIP treatment the whole way - he even got a stall that was supposed to be closed to open just for us! Old Delhi can be a bit hectic but Jaidev expertly navigated us through it all! Great historical commentary on all the stalls and places we walked past as well. To top it all off, he then gave us some great recommendations for the rest of our stay in Delhi and our onwards journey across India. Thanks Jaidev and the Food Tour in Delhi team, you made our trip!

The food tour with Shikha was outstanding. She is charming and very knowledgeable, an excellent ambassador for her city. We savored the street food of Old and New Delhi all the while learning about the origin of dishes, history through food, and architectural features as well. It was so fun to walk in Old Delhi and take a cycle rickshaw. We loved tasting all the vibrant dishes, an explosion of flavors and textures. We plan to return to India, and when we do, we will be booking Delhi Food Tours for more outings and cooking classes in Delhi, Agra and around India. Highly recommend!

I went on a tour with Shikha and her colleague around Delhi in August 2018 and had a great time. I sampled a lot of delicious Indian food during the tour and learnt a lot about flavours and spices. Shikha was a great guide - she spoke excellent English, was organised, kind, considerate of people's dietary requirements and spice tolerances and relayed a lot of information about Indian cuisine. Shikha even kindly sent me a list of the food items eaten during the tour for my information and a list of recommended restaurants for my onward travel since attending the tour. I would really recommend this food tour of Delhi. I would advise guests to ensure they start the tour on an empty stomach and only eat small amounts of the delicious food provided at the start otherwise they will become too full too quickly. Thank you Shikha for a great day!

Amazing Food Tour in Delhi - Part 2 I promise you, if you haven't done this tour, you haven't really experienced Delhi! It's been 6 years since my first food tour with Rajeev and his company, Food Tour in Delhi, and this time was just as exceptional and memorable, as the first. My mother (born and raised in New Delhi) and I had the pleasure of being hosted by Chef Rajeev's wife and company co-founder, Shikha. Shikha was not only a pleasure to spend much of our day with, but also a treasure trove of food and cultural knowledge. She did an amazing job of keeping our palettes stimulated and yearning for more. During the tour, we visited so many unique places, some of which even many Delhiites, have yet to discover. Shikha was also terrific at customizing on-the-fly and taking breaks, if we requested such. We visited so many wonderful nooks and crannies in Old Delhi, with each stop offering a tasty and delightful surprise, before moving on to some excellent spots in New Delhi. The tour is eat until you drop with unlimited amounts of food. Almost a month later and my mother is still talking about this tour! They do a great job of reminding you to control yourself so you make it to the end of the day before you throw in the towel. They also provided a great driver, who picked us up at our hotel, drove us around all day and then took us back home. All in all, the day made for an amazing food and cultural experience that has created lifelong memories. Having gone on dozens of food tours around the world, this is hands down my favorite!! Great job and THANK YOU to Shikha, Rajeev and the entire Food Tour in Delhi group! I can't wait to do it again soon.

I had a fantastic time on this tour, it was a highlight of my trip to India. The food was awesome I tried many things I had never seen before! Seeing the sights in Delhi as we made our way between eateries made it an all-round great tour, the spice market smelled amazing & the Sikh temple was stunning in the evening light and to see how much food they make & serve in the temple was a sight I would have missed out on without the experience of my friendly guide. I was very well looked after on my tour, they know all the best places to go, friendly & knowledgeable and happy to accommodate any dietary requirements too - I highly recommend this tour to anyone! Also don't be shy if your travelling solo as I did - you can be picked up from your hotel in a/c car with a good driver too, book it!

My boyfriend and I did the Old Delhi and New Delhi full day food tour with Shikha. We had a wonderful day learning about different foods and their history. We tried a wide variety of foods and ate things that we wouldn't have tried otherwise! Shikha was very knowledgeable, lovely to talk to and adapted the tour to include a trip to the kitchens of a Sikh temple (when we needed a break from eating) which was truly eye-opening!! One of the best experiences we have had in India!! Thank you Shikha!!

We had two excellent guides, Shikha and Ash, who customised the tour to our palates and favourite foods! I can still taste some of the amazing flavours from curries, snacks and desserts that are woven in with Indian history. I would recommend this as the number 1 thing to do when visiting Delhi!

I highly recommend taking the old delhi food tour. We went to some places I probably couldn't have found myself. Very good food and good information.

Excellent experience, would highly recommend. Rajeev was an excellent guide, his experience as a chef was evident as he guided us through each tasting with his expertise in taste and ingredients. Great way to see old Delhi - if you go without a guide and without local language experience you simply won't get to experience half of what this area has to offer.

My girlfriend and I did the Delhi food tour and tea tasting with pickup and drop off. Everything about this tour was amazing. I had to change my tour date because of flight issues and they made it nice and easy. I had to change the pickup address and that was easy too. They arranged the tour for a time that was perfect for us. The driver arrived early and came inside to find us. They gave us goody bags that had hand sanitizer, wet wipes, and water at the beginning of the tour. All of the food was amazing. I have done a lot of food tours in many different places, but this was the best one. It feels like you are with a friend that is showing you their best food spots. I would do this tour again if I end up in Delhi again and I have recommended it to anyone I know that wants to visit India.

Highly Recommended !! Fantastic food from places you would otherwise likely never find or get access too. With interesting historical information on the food, businesses and culture from a friendly and well educated guide. Also a really good way to see Old Delhi at the same time !

This is hands down the best way to discover a city, the people, and the streets. Ashwani was a great host. Don't hesitate to add this to your travel plan.

Good tour and great value! Excellent timing on this tour. A lot of time-tested experience and effort went into the design of this tour. The Old Delhi food tour was the best part. See a part of Delhi you would never find on your own. Do yourself a favor and book a private tour for a bit more personalized experience. Highly recommended!
