My
mother
was
suffering
from
‘Osteoarthritis’
for
past
10
years
and
we
tried
every
possible
treatment
from
Homeopathy,
Ayurvedic
to
even
viscosupplementation(
hyaluronic
fluid
injections)
to
cure
her.
But
nothing
was
adding
to
her
permanent
relief
.
Over
a
period
of
time
her
situation
got
even
worse,
damaging
both
her
knees
now.
She
was
very
hesitant
for
surgery
but
we
were
left
with
no
option.
We
came
to
meet

Deepak

with
Dr.

was
so
great
and
effective
as
it
jolted
some
confidence
in
my
mother
to
clear
her
doubts
and
myths
for
the
procedure
on
and
after
of
Total
Knee
Replacement
(TKR).
My
mother
was
a
bit
reluctant
on
thought
of
her
both
knees
getting
operated
at
once
but
sessions
with
Dr.
Deepak
were
so
effective
as
he
entrusted
her
pretty
well
to
go
for
TKR
on
both
knees
at
once(adding
to
the
fact,
her
both
knees
degraded
badly
over
a
period
of
time,
as
gap
between
the
joints
had
significantly
increased).
My
mother
got
operated
on
19-Sep-2022
@Moolchand
Hospital,
Delhi.
This
activity
took
around
3
hrs
and
the
surgery
went
pretty
well.
Post
Operative
recovery
time
(7
days)
with
Dr.
Deepak
in
Hospital
was
so
fruitful
and
beneficial
as
it
made
my
mother
stand
and
walk
on
her
very
refurbished
knees
on
next
day
itself.
He
regularly
visited
twice
a
day
for
the
follow
up
sessions
at
the
hospital,
adding
some
more
sets
of
exercises
to
be
practiced
daily
for
faster
recovery
and
groovy
movements
.
Under
keen
observation,
he
even
made
my
mother
to
climb
staircase
of
the
hospital
on
the
very
6th
day
post
surgery
right
before
our
discharge
to
give
her
a
mental
assurance
that
she
could
perform
all
her
daily
activities
on
her
own
with
no
support
sooner.
At
home
in
the
initial
phase,
after
discharge
the
time
was
lil
rough
when
my
mother
encountered
some
pain
in
her
legs
(as
in
hospital
she
was
under
pain
killers
to
ease
down
her
pain
after
such
a
big
surgery,
but
after
discharge
at
home
Dr.
Thakur
prescribed
only
the
oral
medications
to
let
her
body
deal
with
the
pain
in
her
natural
instinct.
Nowadays
my
mother
is
recovering
pretty
well
.
We
have
been
regularly
practising
the
exercises
and
movements
as
prescribed
by
our
surgeon
with
full
dedication
and
heart
and
as
a
result
of
it
without
any
physiotherapy
session
post
TKR,
my
mother
has
left
the
walker
support
in
first
20
days
and
even
stick
support
in
next
10
days
and
now
it
has
been
3
months
that
she
is
walking
with
her
legs
on
her
own
pace,
baby
steps
although
and
in
no
time
she
will
regain
her
strength
and
agility
.
No
doubt,
we
made
a
right
choice
in
getting
a
TKR
surgery
for
both
of
my
mother’s
knees
through
highly
specialised
and
experienced
hands
of
Dr.
Deepak
Thakur.
Certainly,
he
is
a
good
surgeon
and
has
the
best
knowledge
of
his
field
but
what
makes
him
even
bigger
is
his
kindness,
modesty,
mental
assurance
and
empathy
to
understand
the
fears
and
dilemma
of
his
patients
and
let
them
direct
what
is
best
for
them.
